I can't believe how bad of a draw MSU got this year. Marquette in the first round, with UNC if they win that one. I guess we get to see if Izzo's usual tough schedule does what it was supposed to do and prepared them for this. I really don't think State will win that first round game, and would put money against them in the second

This one I actually agree with. Michigan State fans storming the court after beating Wisconsin is like Duke fans storming Cameron after beating Carolina. Act like you've been there before. I kinda agree, but at the same time, it IS a big win regardless of MSU's recent history. Remember, MSU had never beaten a team that was ranked number 1, ever. On top of that, this year's Spartans are definitely NOT that same team. As previously mentioned, none of the students (at least, a very small portion) that stormed the court were even at MSU in 2000. On the other hand, I personally think storming the court is stupid.

You probably should have watched. That Drew Neitzel fellow had an awesome game. I wish I could have, saw the end and bits and pieces while at Outback. I'm shocked.

MSU/Wisconsin tonight, thankfully my fiance made dinner plans for us with some friends so I will be spared from watching the beating State is going to get.

Well you guys won't have to worry about Ohio State being number one after Saturday when the Spartans... bah I can't even type that sarcastically, it just doesn't work. The sad thing is that I have a fairly strong source that says that MSU can't afford to buy out Joke L.'s contract anytime soon. Looks like we are stuck with him for 2 more years.

Don't forget about the conference that has the two best teams in all the land right now (Ohio State and Michigan). Penn State, Wisconsin, and Iowa are all pretty decent too. Dude... you totally forgot to mention Michigan State!!!

That dude was hilarious, I pretty much agreed with him too. But yeah, what do you think Lloyd Carr or Mike Bellotti or Charlie Weis would do to their players if they were not practicing hard? In fact here is the exact quote from the Lansing State Journal's website: "All week. That's the way we practiced, what you saw," Smith said Saturday after his team's 23-20 loss to the lowly Fighting Illini at Spartan Stadium. "We can't get them to go. And apparently I don't have the answer. We can't get them to go hard in practice, so we've got to continue to look for the answer."

Believe me, most of hte people that I have talked to have said the same thing. He was actually quoted as saying that he couldn't get the team to practice hard the week leading up to the game! That's simply unacceptable.

Tom Izzo has no problem recruiting at the same school. It's not the school at all. You seem to be forgetting the players that Saban got to go to MSU: T.J. Duckett and Julian Peterson just to name two off the top of my head.

My thoughts exactly on that game. Smith is a horrible coach who can't recruit. And MSU rebounding to be a top 25 team is practically impossible considering the beatings that UofM and OSU are going to put on them, combined with their usual loss to a team they should beat (not counting ND in that). Hopefully this will be John L.'s last year here.

At this point I really have no idea how the MSU/ND game is going to go... What do you guys think?

Yeah I was as surprised as you. Sitting in a bar in Philly listenting to Pitt fans yell and scream at the TV made for a great game though Hey Hey!

Apparently you haven't seen Michigan State play yet this year iggy, MSU's defense this year is putrid, with their secondary being the worst part of putrid (whatever that is). I don't even want to watch them play OSU, god that's going to be ugly.
