Went to my umpteenth Reign game tonight. Zatkoff, who was just sent down from Manchester of the AHL, apparently got injured as he was pulled with a 3-2 lead in the 3rd. The Reign lost 4-3 to the Utah Grizzlies in overtime. Tomorrow, there is a game between the Ontario firemen and the New York firemen before the Reign vs. Grizzlies game. That should be fun. Doubleheader! I'm posting some pics. I won't be posting pics of all the ECHL games I go to, but I figured I'd share these: http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...b26a0906621.jpg http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...d247c6adad2.jpg http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...a2a94625ce3.jpg http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...cd583a00ce7.jpg http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...cf747fad09e.jpg http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...f1aabc64335.jpg http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...7907e4876fe.jpg http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...96f4292009d.jpg http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...fa55b1dc0a0.jpg http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...3aab49b8d57.jpg http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...248e80e4b8a.jpg http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...283e3db4111.jpg http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...72757ee48a8.jpg http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...985003da261.jpg http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...7629832a20e.jpg Free hat I got from a friend from the LetsGoKings forums: Unintentionally looking like a dumb wannabe wigger pimping the Matt Greene jersey and free hat after the game:

BioShock is one of the best FPS games ever, but there's no multiplayer, local or online. L4Dis excellent as well, but will get old fast if she's not playing local co-op at least, and even that's a stretch since that's only 2 players and versus Mode (play as zombies) wouldn't be an option. All 4 campaigns can be finished in less than an hour each.

I hated online in Gears 1, but like it a lot in 2. I just don't play much due to having too many games. I just downloaded the Combustible Map pack late last night. First game I got into today, it was 1 on 5, with me being the 1. That was funny. The second time was fine, though.

I bit the bullet and made my first theme purchase. My digital camera only records 30-odd seconds of video, but here's my quickie "review" of the Kings NHL 09 theme. All 30 NHL teams are available at 150 points.

I vote for the goat.
-
That Kings game was frustrating to sit through, especially the 2nd period. I guess I can't be too surprised at the result, though, given who the opponent was.
-
Oops, my mistake. I was watching the end of Chicago/Cleveland at the same time as the beginning of LA Kings/Detroit Red Wings.

Madden, NFL Head Coach, and NCAA Football 2009
Matt Young replied to Matt Young's topic in Video Games
*Casts Phoenix Down on thread* I've been playing a little Madden due to the playoffs. In my 4th game of the 2009 season (first time back playing) Aaron Rodgers suffered a torn pec and is now out for 9 games. In other new, I got Blitz: The League II. This is one fun ass game. I was ready to declare that the CPU is too hard/cheap after playing 3 exhibition games (difficulty is adjustable; I'm talking Normal) but apparently, in Campaign, the difficulty must be scaling. After winning 2 of 3 exhibition games and completing the tutorials, I won my first Campaign game 54-14. It could have been more, had I not screwed up. So it must be that Division 3 teams are atrocious, and Division 1 teams will hopefully provide a tough challenge. So far, I'm loving the game. For $20, it was a steal, but even for the full $40, I'd say it's worth it. Does anyone else have it? -
Hell of a game between the Bulls and Cavs. I almost have no fingernails left. The Bulls beat the team with the best record in the NBA in an overtime thriller. Well, it was a thriller until overtime, where the Bulls took control. I missed most of the first period of the Kings game as a result, but all they did was give up 2 goals to the Red Wings, so I didn't miss much.

Delonte West just got his head busted wide open on an uncalled foul he committed which took out both him and Derrick Rose. Rose is okay, though. Oh, and Cleveland is actually wearing their red, regular, non-throwback unis! =-o

I'm about to start watching this series on Netflix.

So how are everyone's franchises going? I'm using the Bulls in 2K9, and though I haven't played nearly as many games as in, say, my NHL 09 dynasty, I'm loving this so far. Playing 7 minute quarters on All-Star, I'm 16 games in, sitting at 9-7 after a thrilling overtime win in San Antonio. That's good for 1st by 1 game in the division and 4th in the Eastern Conference. Derrick Rose leads the league in scoring with 23.6 PPG. On the downside, Drew Gooden, playing in only his 6th game of the season after just coming back from a separated shoulder, got the same injury on a loose ball dive and is out another 2-4 weeks, or 5-9 games. He's the Kevin Nash of my team.

Man, that traveling call on the Lakers at the end of the game was such bullshit. But what a great game... LA comes back from 100-89, and finally loses 112-111 on an incredible and-one shot by Roger Mason. After seeing the Christmas day game vs. Phoenix and this one, Mason has to be one of the most clutch dudes in the game. And I agree with the announcers on ESPN (I watched it on there rather than KCAL)- that was the best game, start to finish, of this season.

Almost got that, but a smoker got one of our guys right near the end. I beat Dead Air and Blood Harvest by myself and Death Toll online to get the achievements for completing all 4 campaigns (already finished No Mercy with another friend weeks ago). I love this game.

The Bulls beat Toronto, 102-98. I'll finally get to see them on TV again tomorrow night, thank God, but they'll probably get raped by Cleveland. The Lakers are having another highly entertaining offensive slugfest tonight, this time in San Antonio. It's 63-61 Spurs at the half.

I have manic depressive/bipolar disorder type 2.

Clearing up a few things: First and foremost, Abilify is NOT an SSRI. And the side effects occur in a very small percentage of patients. They're simply required to list them in case they do occur, to cover their collective asses. As for educating myself rather than blindly trusting a doctor, I did months worth of research before even getting evaluated. Czech also seems to be under the impression that bipolar people only need drugs if they are a danger to other people or themselves. That's not true. And did you see the list of my symptoms? That's 9 years of that shit I've gone through. I've attempted suicide several times and have been in jail twice. Also, my ability to function has been highly inhibited. Through age 16, I displayed a high rate of self motivation and academic prowess. Now, I'm 24 years old and I live with my mom. I can't hold a job because, while half the time I'm a social fucking butterfly, the other half of the time, I'll shut myself off from all human communications- sometimes for weeks at a time (internet excluded, obviously). A couple years ago, I walked off a high paying 3rd shift job site at 2 A.M. during a smoke break and wandered the streets of downtown Riverside for hours, determined to never go back. Just an hour before, I was a motivated, quality employee with no desire to leave. Leo- I felt the need to share this here because of the way I have acted and what people know about my personal life on this board. And I have experienced no negative side effects other than drowsiness thus far. -
That made me legitimately LOL. Lakers win 105-100, toppling the Tracy McGrady-less Rockets and their Von Wafer/Carl Landry offensive juggernaut (seriously). Yao Ming was a whiny bitch.
-
Damn... where did this Von Wafer guy come from?

Dandy, this is what I was referring to when I said I had something to say about your comment regarding me getting better at taking things on the board less seriously. This is a big reason- my treatment. And thank you. Czech, my family life is quite good at the moment. My stepdad's been out of the picture for 2 years (left while I was in Illinois and he was out here) so that huge problem has long been solved. -
The Wizards brass is already a bunch of fucking morons for signing him to the contract that they did.

I got David Morrell's The Spy Who Came for Christmas for, well, Christmas. I read it in about 4 days, in 50 page sessions. Really good book, and highly recommended. I'm about to start on Generation Kill.

I have manic depressive/bipolar disorder type 2.

Well yeah, everyone has that one, just not usually as pronounced. Smues, nice pic. There's an animal orb in Castle Crashers called Bipolar Bear who attacks the injured, whether friend or foe. EDIT: Holy shit! Bob capitalized his name and removed the underscore. -
Over the last 2 months, I have been evaluated by a therapist and, eventually, a psychiatrist. I was diagnosed as bipolar/manic depressive (same thing for those who don't know) and it was narrowed down to bipolar type 2: http://www.depression-guide.com/bipolar-ii-disorder.htm On December 31st, my psychiatrist prescribed Abilify. I am going in tomorrow for a checkup. The stuff seems to be working fine so far, but I'm far from being "cured" (well, absent of symptoms the majority of the time; there is no cure). It's only been 2 weeks, and I'm not sure what normal feels like, anyway. I've been experiencing symptoms since I was 15. I just had no idea what the cause might be. My mom and especially my stepdad, who carried the influence in the house and was abusive both verbally and physically, claimed that nothing was wrong with me and that, despite my academic intelligence and intentions to accomplish things, I was a worthless prick who chose to be lazy. It took years of problems, a couple suicide attempts in my teens that I realized later on were the worst possible idea especially since it was over stupid shit, and a drinking problem/eating disorder combo that lasted for 4 years before I was able to even get on the right path. It took another 2 and a half years for me to figure out what my problem might be and to get treatment. Here are some of the symptoms I've experienced over the last 9 years, most of them being recent but some stopped or were stopped years ago: So that's the gist of it. I don't feel like writing more now because I'm tired from little to no sleep over the past 2 days (not unusual for me). But today is the first time I have shared this information with anyone besides a few close friends and family. If you want to ask anything, I'll answer later. I'm sorry to the people who I know I offended or treated badly due to this illness and its effects. Don't get me wrong- Regardless of reason or cause, a man is still responsible for his own actions. I did what I did, and I am accountable. But I hope, given the circumstances, no one will hold that against me.

Yeah, both parts/all 3 hours. Yay high-def pop-up Lost!
