Russia just beat Slovakia 5-2 in the bronze medal game of the World Junior Tournament. Can't say whether or not it was a good game, as I only saw period number 3. The gold medal game between Canada and Sweden (the latter featuring LA Kings forward OSCAR MOLLER~!) airs on NHL Network in the U.S. and TSN in Canadaat 4:30 Pacific/7:30 Central. I'll be doing/watching other stuff, so I'm recording that for later. Also, the Penguins play the Rangers on Versus in about an hour.

I saw all the games on a DVR delay since I was at Staples center on Saturday night and had people over Sunday. Two games ended how I wanted them to; two ended the way I did not. Fortunately, all were competitive and the ones that mattered had the teams I wanted to win, winning. I'm just glad the Vikings are out, and even though the result was spoiled for me, I enjoyed watching the Chargers win.

I got back a short while ago from the Kings game. What a great time. I've been to many ECHL games this season, but none of them could compare to seeing the Kings play the Philadelphia Flyers in the sold out Staples Center. I was up in the 300's, but I had a perfect view of the ice. My seat was right in between the blue lines, with the center line basically being parallel to my groin, LOL. It was an awesome game. The Kings struggled in the first period and part of the second, but came back to make it a very competitive game. It ended up going to overtime tied at 1 goal a piece. No one scored in overtime, and in the shootout, Frolov and brown scored to give the Kings the victory. It was their first in 6 games wearing the alternate jerseys. Jon Quick, who has a 0.79 GAA and .969 save percentage in his last 5 games, looked amazing, stopping a penalty shot and saving what would have been a sure goal by trapping it between his legs behind himself while on his belly. We were seated above the commentators' area, so we had a direct view of Bob Miller and Jim Fox. I actually saw Miller talking to someone right outside the entrance to our section while I was returning to my seat during the second intermission. I got some really good pics, but they're on my friend's camera. I'll share those when he uploads them.

Well, I'm leaving for Kings/Flyers in a half hour or so. My friend likes to get there early, and besides, while LA is normally only an hour drive, traffic on a Saturday night can be unpredictable. Should be fun, anyway.

I was at a hockey game earlier, so I just now watched the Lakers vs. the Carlos Boozer-less Jazz. LA kept getting up big, but Utah would always make a run and cut the deficit down to single digits, even as few as 3 points. But in the end, the Lakers won 113-100 on 40 points from Kobe and 21 from Gasol, who scored his 10,000th career point.

I had no idea there was going to be an MLB Network. It just went live about 1 minute ago. It's sandwiched between the NFL and NHL Networks on DirecTV, channel 213.

I hadn't watched a college football game all season, but I'm watching the Rose Bowl now. I dislike USC and prefer UCLA, but as an Illinois fan, I'm rooting against Penn State. Should be a good game, anyway. I'll watch just about any sports now with my new high def receiver.

Oh, I forgot. I was one of only three white people there. The reason I mention this is because, other than me and a girl named Roxxi, the other white person who showed up was a dude in tattered jeans and a huge, oversized Raiders jacket. He was an okay guy, but he reeked of cigarettes and ass, looked like he was 35 but claimed to be 25, and was rocking large faux diamond earrings and a mullet.

I went to a party at a Mexican chick's house. I was one of two white people there. I had a shit ton of fun. It started with me and 6 friends, and ended up with like 60 people. My friend was doing DJ work, and some locally famous Mexican rapper showed up ( pre-planned, but unbeknownst to the majority of the crowd) and started busting out to the great delight of the mostly drunk crowd. 6 hours of drinks, food, friends, fun, and hot bitches. The one girl I've been going after kept referring to me as "The Matt Young" and was all over me. Drunk ass ho. I was honored. My white ass danced for the first time in God knows how long. Everyone made an ass of themselves. Best new year's ever.

That WJC game between Canada and the USA was straight hotness.

That Illinois/Purdue game was fun. First college game I've watched all year. I never have liked college sports as much as the pros. I was afraid Illinois would lose after that bullshit foul call with 1 second left, but Purdue only tied it and lost in OT.

I just watched Dirty Harry for the first time. Great movie, but that was the worst fake blood I've ever seen. Shit looked like red house paint.
