Yes, he does. I don't care about the Canucks, but with him out, I'm stuck with Marty Turco and Peter Budaj on my fantasy team. On a somewhat related note, I'll actually be able to watch some Canucks games and other assorted non-Kings games in a few days, and in high def. I'm getting my HD dish and HD DVR installed Friday, so I can record HNIC and watch the Canadian teams as well as the games on Versus. I'm usually gone on Saturdays so I don't get to see HNIC.

It's more frustrating when your team is in their division. I'm just wondering if they'll actually be able to advance past the second round this year.

That happened in single player, too, not multiplayer. I really liked multiplayer, although I could never make it through more than 1 level with 3 people and couldn't connect with 4.

I just saw The Godfather for the first time. Yeah, seriously. There are a lot of movies people consider classics that I either haven't seen or didn't see until much later than most people. I didn't see any Star Wars films until the DVD set came out in 2004. I never saw any of the Terminator or Indiana Jones movies until this year. Anyway, I don't get the hype. The Godfather is a good movie, certainly, but I don't see what puts it anywhere near "best movie ever" territory. It kind of dragged at several points. I enjoyed it, but it's not something I'd want to watch again and again. That being said, Netflix is the shit. In the past month, I've watched almost 40 movies on disc and streaming. $8.99 a month for 1 DVD at a time plus over 12,000 titles streaming (I have 218 in my queue that I can watch from my PC or Xbox 360) is just incredible.

Oh, for sure. With almost the exact same SOG differential, LaBarbera gave up 5 goals to Buffalo last week. There's a reason they're starting Quick now rather than him.

The Kings practically doubled their opponent's shot total again but actually won this time, 3-0 over the Blue Jackets. It was Jon Quick's first NHL shutout, and snapped the Jackets' 5 game home win streak while ending the Kings' 4 game losing streak (though 2 of those losses were OT and shootout).

The Packers losing to the Lions next week as time expires would be the ultimate low point in a season full of heartbreaking losses. So yeah, it'll happen.

They have the best record against division opponents, so I'd say that makes them better than the other teams in the division. One of those losses, the one to the Vikings, they lost by 1 point. They've had 5 losses by 4 points or less, games in which one play could have swung the result the other way. Though, to be fair, the Bears have lost a lot of close games, too. Still, if the Packers win this one, they clinch the best record vs. divisional opponents in the NFC North. As I said before when people criticized me for not posting in threads during regular season games, I hardly get to see any Packers, Bulls, or White Sox games here. Hard to comment when I can't watch. Czech, I never said anything about them being close to a championship. Does it mean anything as far as the end result of their season? No. But a victory over a division rival is satisfying, regardless of circumstance.

Yeah, this potential victory is the only thing the Packers have left to play for. They're still the best team in the division, but they've just lost so many close games.

It'd be great if Trish came back and faced Beth at WrestleMania. The "Cuck Fena" sign was gold.

Is it just me, or has this Edge DVD been promoted a lot less strongly than the usual WWE release? I didn't even know it was coming out until seeing a commercial in Smackdown this past Friday. It's only $20 at Best Buy this week, and Edge is my favorite, so I must get it.

A couple things I've noticed on Smackdown so far, 30 minutes in: The WWE title used to have a Smackdown plate, but it was changed to one that says "Mon Nite Raw" when Cena switched brands. But even now, the belt still has the Raw plate. I know there's an unwritten rule that in WWE, black wrestlers invariably feud or team with other black wrestlers. But why has Hurricane only worked with black guys since his return? He's wrestled against MVP and Shelton Benjamin in singles matches, then against both in a tag match with R-Truth as his partner. Next week, he faces Shelton 1 on 1. Maybe Vince saw Helms' do-rag and got confused. Finally, does anyone actually get MyNetwork TV in HD? I'm getting my HD receiver and dish for DirecTV next Friday, but they don't offer MNTV in HD.
