I've had my HD DVR for 2 and 1/2 weeks now, and I love it unconditionally. I'm watching so much shit (and a lot more sports) due to the shows being in high def. I have a 52" RCA rear projection, which friends said I would immediately want to upgrade from, but everything looks excellent. I can tell the difference between 1080i on my TV and 1080i on a plasma, but it's not enough to make me think, "Golly gee, I can't enjoy this without a better television." Still, I do find myself considering a purchase of a 60" plasma if I can pay it off before my gold card starts charging interest, so I guess they were partially right.

Pro tip: Never drink apple juice when hung over. Powerade/Gatorade, breakfast burrito, leftover pizza. All those things are good.

The Bulls lost to Portland,but Luol Deng and, surprisingly, Kirk Hinrich are back. Let's see what the team can do now. 41-41, here we come!

Apparently, the last time LA beat Tampa in LA was in November 1997. Tonight was another loss. The Lightning went up 3-0 not far into period 2 before the Kings decided to pull Ersberg. I think he hasn't fully healed yet, and I hope I'm right. If I'm wrong, then he's not who we thought he was, and that would suck. Quick didn't allow any goals, but we lost 3-1. I went through the tunnels. According to the guide (though I had already finished that mission before buying it), it's approximately 8,164,289 times easier to do it that way than above ground.

Well, the Kings got rocked by the Devils, and the Sharks won their game, which was infinitely more entertaining than the Kings game. Boo.

I know this isn't a Guitar Hero thread, but I figured I'd ask here since I know some of you use GH guitars. In the middle of a session, my strum bar on my GH3 Les Paul stopped working. It'll function maybe one out of every 25 strums, obviously not enough to be useful. Has anyone had this happen? I've heard of RB1 guitar strum bars messing up, but not Les Pauls. At any rate, I have the RB1 guitar which neither I nor my friends like, and the GHII Xplorer which I will use for one player right now. Any deals on the GH: Aerosmith bundle?

I took some workout supplement earlier that had caffeine and some other shit in it. I took my normal 15mg dose of Adderall a few hours later. I figured I'd be fine if I spaced the two apart. Man, I'm wired. I feel even more focused than normal, which is to be expected, but everything's just more enjoyable- especially Rock Band 2, LOL. But I wouldn't try this again. My hands are trembling a bit. Could be not quite so enjoyable if there was a next time.

I knew that, of all the people here, you'd be the first (maybe only) one to get that reference.

I only saw the last period of the Flyers/Leafs game, but based on that and seeing them in person, I must say that the Flyers are fun to watch. Sharks and Canucks next, though I'll be flipping back and forth due to football and the Kings game.

Carolina's going to win this game by about 3-4 touchdowns.
