No contest. It's the breakup of the Bulls dynasty after the 1998 season. I have been a huge Bulls fan since I was a kid growing up in Illinois, and after Jordan retired and the team was split up, I started losing interest in basketball. I'm still nowhere near as fanatical as I once was about the game. Otehr notables: The Cubs blowing a 3-1 series lead to the Marlins in the 2003 NLCS; Any time the White Sox gave up at the end of July and traded all their players away at the deadline despite being only 3-5 games behind Cleveland. Happy birthday Matt, indeed. Also, Super Bowl 32. More recently, the Illini losing to UNC in the NCAA Championship.

Is this even worth buying, or is it better suited as a rental? The gameplay style and the shooter bonus levels look great, and I think I'll love the story, but the brevity of the game is the one reason why I'm not sure whether to get JE or some other game like Psychonauts or Unreal Championship 2.

HEY! Don't promote the other store... I definitely prefer GameCrazy, but for PS1 games, you can't beat that deal.

The game sounds pretty good from the Gamespot review and the user reviews posted there. I'm sure you've looked at a review or two already, though. I really liked what little I played of Unreal Tournament 2004 on PC, but my main question is this- Is UC2 worth getting since I already own Halo 2 and just downloaded the 4 new maps? I'm about to head over to Hollywood Video now, so if the game's in stock, I'll rent it and post impressions.

Thanks PK. Just a heads up, if you don't find what you're looking for at GameCrazy, GameRush (which is to Blockbuster what GC is to Hollywood Video) has a deal where you can get any 5 PS1 games for $10 or 10 for $20, I believe. I'll have to check on the specifics.

I've heard the game's very good. But just so you know, Lushus, you can play deathmatches against computer controlled bots, and supposedly they're just as challenging if not more so than human players when you select the higher difficulty levels.

I had never heard of this game before, but I went to Namco's website this morning looking for Tales of Symphonia stuff and saw that they had announced it on January 20th. It seems like an awesome concept. I was actually going to post about it today. Have you been watching me?

I know how you feel. I haven't been to GC in a while, but they have a decent selection of older games, including NES and SNES. I really need to replace my SNES collection, which I sold off about 8 years ago to get a Nintendo 64, and I need to replace my 30 or so N64 games that my sister sold for drugs. I'm just hoping that since MoVal isn't a big city and I rarely ever see people checking out the old school games at our GC, there will be some good titles left when I get some cash. I can probably get my friend who works there to hold a couple, but that's it.

I found out that GBA games are excluded, but I believe Game Boy and GB Color games are eligible.

According to Cheap Ass Gamer, where numerous GameCrazy employees post, all older used games, as in systems older than Xbox, PS2, gameCube, DS, and PSP, will be on sale, 3 for $15 in order to clear inventory. I'm pretty sure it's a nationwide deal. Scroby can likely confirm or deny, and I'm trying to get a hold of my friend Daniel from my local GC to ask him about it. Sadly, the only way it appears I will be able to cash in on this deal is to trade in games for credit, which I am very reluctant to do. I figured I'd give you guys a heads up though since I'm sure some of you will be able to make some good finds.

I generally like that type of music, but I was very unimpressed with Senses Fail's latest album. P.S. Nevermortal rocks.

Well, Charlotte got 18 wins (same as the old Charlotte team, the Hornets), 5 more than Atlanta, and they were a true expansion team. I mean, who did they have besides Emeka Okafor? As for the Hawks, though, Josh Smith was badass in the dunk contest. Bring back Dominique Wilkins, Steve Smith, and Spud Webb!

Since others are listing themes by real bands, I may as well also. Out of the current themes, I really dig Dishwater Blonde's theme for Christian, Edge's theme from Alter Bridge, and Randy Orton's theme, by Mercydrive. Other current themes I enjoy: Carlito, John Cena, Triple H, Lita, Chris Benoit. It's hard to remember a lot of older themes, but ntohing tops "Real American" for me. I mark out every time I hear that, and seeing Hogan run down to the ring and take out Hassan and Daivari as that theme played at WM21 was the biggest mark out moment probably in my entire history of being a wrestling fan. I had seen Hogan at a Thunder taping in 2000, but he was in his FUNB anti-New Blood stage. This was the full experience.

I'll add more later, but I must add that Owen Hart's early 1998 theme when he was the "sole survivot", "black heart/Hart", and later, a heel with The Rock kicked all kinds of ass.

I've had those flags there since before the season started, if that's what you were thinking. I've always been a Sox fan since I grew up in Illinois, and I kind of halfway followed the Dodgers. I became a fan of LA once they drafted Jayson Werth, who went to my high school, and now they're pretty much my hometown team and (along with the Angels) their games are shown practically every day on Fox Sports out here. I still prefer the Chicago teams, but LA's my #3. I just hope Jayson gets healthy soon.
