  1. Don't judge me based on Ashlee Simpson alone. I'm not some musical elitist like certain people here, but who knows, I may end up liking some of the same stuff you do. I simply haven't heard most of your type of music. As a musician and songwriter, I have respect for technical proficiency and musical ability, but I can't like a song or performer based on artistic merits alone if I'm not feeling the music. I'm making an effort to see what all the fuss is about with these bands that people here listen to, you especially, Matt, since I will admit that you know your shit. If only I could get fucking Soulseek to work properly.
  2. This sucks. It's nowhere near as disappointing as Matt Hardy and Molly's releases, as they were my favorite male and female wrestlers in the company, respectively. Still, Luther's team with Jindrak (whom I also like) was title worthy, and what's the point of the release? Now Luther's gone and Jindrak's back on Velocity. I guarantee you that if Luther goes to All-Japan, he'll be incredibly over.
  3. I just discovered a Conker demo on Jade Empire. I haven't played it yet, but it's there for those who want to check it out.
  4. I finally got around to starting this (rented it from GameFly). Although I own KOTOR, I have never opened it. This is my first BioWare game. I chose Wu the Lotus Blossom as my character (I'll always select a female protagonist if given a choice, and she reminded me of O-Ren Ishii) and after a little over an hour, I've just beaten the bandit/ghost/assassin beach battle. I did a lot of exploring beforehand. I'm loving the gameplay so far, but I've always been a fan of the martial arts, the Chinese and Japanese imperial systems, philosophy, and the like, so that's not too surprising. I was scared by all the bad reviews and comparisons to Fable, but JE is a lot more fun for me than Fable ever was. I'm seriously considering a purchase. I have a weird quirk about me, where I'll rent a game and barely play it because I feel that I should buy it and add it to my collection if I am to play through it completely. Even if I never play it again, I want to own it. Hmm. I was considering using GameFly's "Keep It" feature and buying the game for $40 since it's in flawless condition. However, I don't believe it's the Limited Edition (How do I tell? There was no extra disc.) and I'd rather have that version for the same price.
  5. Zebra Cakes and those strawberry shortcake Swiss Cake Roll type things>>>> all snack cakes.
  6. It was a great experience. It wasn't just me, though. I went to the show in St. Louis with my friend Nick, and during the last song of the set, Slug came out into the (admittedly smallish) crowd and shook hands with people, etc. After the set ended, he signd autographs for people and chatted with me, Nick, and a group of about 4-5 other people. Slug took us back behind (kinda underneath) the stage and handed us some "Free Beret" t-shirts. I don't even know who Beret is, since I'm just a casual fan who had only heard 2 Atmosphere songs before Warped. But right after that, Slug asked if anyone smoked bud, and when everyone in the group enthusiastically answered "yes", he whipped out a packed chocolate philly and sparked it up. I really didn't say much to him since I'm somewhat shy (social anxiety disorder) and as I said, I didn't know much about the music at the time. Still, it was an awesome experience. After smoking up, I went and got tossed around brutally Flogging Molly's mosh pit.
  7. I keep changing my mind on my list. Also, I tend to rarely get things finished until the last minute, but even if I have to sit in front of my computer writing for 15 hours straight to get something done on time *cough*e-fed show results*cough* it'll be done.
  8. The KROQ Weenie Roast is coming up on May 21st in LA and I really want to go. I don't have the $60, however (I know, you've all heard that story from me before). Is anyone else going or has anyone been to the show in years past? The lineup looks fantastic: Audioslave Foo Fighters Hot Hot Heat Interpol Jimmy Eat World The Killers My Chemical Romance MxPx Queens of the Stone Age KROQ Budweiser Stage Two Special Appearance-Mars Volta Alkaline Trio Bloc Party The Bravery Dead 60's The Transplants Plus, Open Air Stereo Those are all bands I really like, with the exceptions of Interpol (shitty), Bloc Party (only heard 1 song), Dead 60's and Open Ait Stereo (never heard of either).
  9. Thanks for the recommendations, but I didn't download any Radiohead. For some reason, Soulseek wants to take 30-60 minutes for one song despite the fact that I have a DSL connection. Any reason for this?
  10. Bumping for Kotz, along with the fact that I want to see if anyone else thinks the album is as great as he does.
  11. Actually, according to X-Play, a Game Cube is more durable than an X-Box is. Morgan SMASH! To be fair though, they only tested to make sure the system turned on. That Cube likely wouldn't have played any games.
  12. It's really sad the way this has happened. I met Rico before Smackdown house show in June 2004, and he was one of the nicest guys I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I think I'm the kiss of death for wrestlers. I met Rico that day in June, he was injured and dropped the tag titles 2 days later, was released, and is now retired. I met Kanyon at a house show during the Alliance days, and 2 days later he injured himself, was out for over a year, and is now retired. I met Vampiro at a WCW Thunder taping in 2000, and he was gone later that year. I met Buff Bagwell at the same show; he was arrested seconds later. I also saw Nidia and Jazz' last match, and although the majority of my friends on the NMW roster are healthy, 2 of my closest friends, Jeremy and Rob, have career threatening injuries. Jingus has nothing on me! But in all seriousness, Rico's a great guy, so best of luck to him in his future endeavors.
  13. Oh, alright then. Here's a pic of Ken Foree, the man I was referring to, so you can see what he looks like.
  14. I really liked it. I was just surprised that they'd show the guns and shit on UPN. I was also surprised that Cena would be seen drinking and smoking on camera (even though it was fake) since I believe he has claimed to be sXe.
  15. They should have kept everything from the original and added scenes where the Tediz crash a plane full of "Jooze" into the "World Commerce Towers" and where the Pope's carcass gets sodomized by Gummy Worms.
  16. I'll look up some Radiohead songs on Soulseek and listen to them while I get high and talk to Kotzenjunge. If I'm not entertained under those circumstances, I probably never will be.
  17. I like them all, but bring back Atmosphere. I met Slug and smoked a blunt with him at the Warped Tour after the guys' set. Trying to find a balance, bitches.
  18. Slim, I want to see that pic you posted here a while back. I barely remember it, but for some reason I was thinking you look like Kenan's father from the show "Kenan and Kel", although that may just be my imagination playing tricks on me. I remember that because I imagined you fucking up the kid who asked, "Only thirty?" in the same general fashion that Kenan's dad would fuck up Kel.
  19. It sucks, I know. I don't see why they had to censor "twat" or other words like that. What parts of the game did they take out? Lushus, all the things you mentioned were awesome. I also loved the part where Conker had to get drunk (and I love the cartoon animation where his eyes have a meter thing that indicates his drunkenness) and piss on the flaming demon things that were smoking joints and drinking liquor, followed by having to smash the balls of the giant boiler/robot.
  20. I would love that, but I don't know if it could be done since Episode IV is supposedly a bonus unlockable in the original game.
  21. And aside from WWE/OVW continuity problems and the fact that the gimmick will eventually get old, Eugene is great. As a longtime Nick Dinsmore fan, I hated the idea when I read about it, but after a week or two, I was sold. Think of it this way- There would be no way in hell that Nick Dinsmore, straight technical wrestler, would ever move that high up the card, at least nowhere near as quickly. The man had a Tag Team title reign, several PPV appearances, a World Championship match, and a match with Triple H at the second biggest event of the year, all within a very short period of time. He'll need a gimmick change eventually, but right now he entertains me both in the ring and out, and he's had a lot of success.
  22. I'm still debating on whether or not to try this. I do have incredible leg strength for someone whose legs are not much bigger around than my arms (I can leg press 250 last I checked, and I weigh 125-ish).
  23. i got the N64 version for $9.99 sealed soon after it was released. I loved the single player game, and it was one of my favorite N64 titles. I never really played mutiplayer, but with Live capabilities and incredibly improved graphics (along with the fact that the N64 version is no longer in my possession) it's a must buy for me. The only things that I am disappointed about are the increased censorship (that's right, increased) and they could have thrown in a couple new levels.
  24. I have liked Weezer for a long time. I was scared after hearing Beverly Hills, since that was a boring, monotonous, and shitty song. However, the rest of the album is pretty good. I listened to it on My Space the other day. It's not up to Blue Album or Pinkerton levels, but it's worth buying for $9.99, IMO (That's the most I'm willing to pay for a CD).
  25. The Killers- I heard "Somebody Told Me" on a DirecTV digital music channel and bought the album for $6.99. I never liked those newer "The" bands, but The Killers turned out to be pretty good. I'm glad they chose "Mr. Brightside" as a single, because that was always my favorite track on the album. Radiohead- I've liked a couple songs by them, but by and large, I believe they are the most overrated band in history. They're so drab, boring, and just... not good. That may be an unfair assessment, seeing as how I have not heard much other than their singles, but what I have heard leaves me with no desire to seek out more material. They do make good vidoes, at least.
