I'm guessing it was homosexual-like 'ala Goldust's promos back in 95 - 96? No! He was like "oh, you want to dedicate your match to Crash, well isn't that nice. Too bad things are going to go tragicly wrong..." His wording was much more to the effect of "Crash is dead and I will piss on his death."

Maven played the heel in the match, choking Val with the towel. Big John was also the heel against Dreamer. Looks like they wanted to test the crowd on a heel turn for both of them. The crowd seemed to buy it.
