I'm a huge Pantera fan and I know that anything having to do with the Beatles would be more significant then anything having to do with Pantera/ Dimebag. I mean, the Beatles are one of the greatest bands in history. Pantera is just a metal band that ran a long time, put out some (somewhat) revolutionary music by combining elemtns from other rock. metal styles, and did a lot without much mainstream recognition. The Beatles redefined music with every album they put out. The comparison is just not there.

So what's the deal with J.R. now? Is he going to be doing the online thing or is he completely fired?

Why hire dead weight like Goldust, Vader, and these "legends" when we could be building up our current crop of stars? Even guys like Eugene, Conway, and Masters with their limited, retarded gimmicks (no pun intended) need to get the rub, and finding these obscure workers is cool for the smart crowd, but they're killing their business long term and they don't seem to realize it. We need to start building stars now so that, in five years, when guys like Michaels, Angle, and Undertaker can't work, we'll have an established upper-card (Batista, Orton, etc.) and a solid mid-card filled with some of the wrestlers were seeing now. So, in short, Goldust should be released after Taboo Tuesday. Period.

I only found out about COB because of Alexi Laiho's column in Guitar World, and I was curious so I downloaded a few songs and then purchased Hate Crew Deathroll, their 2003 album, and it's all quite good, if slightly generic. Their new album, Are You Dead Yet?, is coming out on October 25. They've posted a few cuts on their MySpace. Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you guys are fans of COB or if anybody has opinions on them. Personally, the vocals suck, but the guitar riffs are awesome. The drums and the keyboard and guitar solos are amazing, but the song sturctures are quite basic, verse/ chorus/ verse stuff, but maybe that's the charm they have that I can't deny...

It's got the aggression and groove of their debut with the melody and songwriting prowess they introduced in thier second CD. It also has the heavy drumming of their second Cd mixed with the hooks of their first. I am a huge Disturbed fan, so I do have a bias, but it's still worth checking out if you're a fan of commercially viable heavy rock.

I'd watch just because I'd want to see where they would actually go with it. (I voted "yes", by the way.)

Well, Armageddon 2005 is coming to Providence on December 11. Will you be going to that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My friends are thinking about it. Considering it's a Smackdown! PPV, I, personally, am erring on the side of "no".

I wouldn't go even if they came to the Dunkin Donuts Center here in Providence. (Yeah, I'm a liar, but any kind of Wrestlemania card in March 2006 will be dismal at best, given the talent they have right now.)

Unless they make Cena lose the title only to win it back after a heated one-month feud just to make him a two-time champ and increase his prestige, I'm pretty sure he'll be hanging onto his title while Batista is shoved back down to the mid-card.

I don't want to sound ignorant since I don't know much about this stuff, but I really doubt there is a way he looks the way he does and isn't on them.
