I had no interest in the series at all. Then when the second one came out, a female friend of mine (hot) told me she was going to see it, and wanted to know if I'd go with her. Well, I wasn't turning down that opportunity, so I agreed. I also did not want to be lost, so I rented Fellowship, and watched it over the course of two days, as the walking that was mentioned, was very tedious. We went see the movie, and since I'm a completionist, I had to see the third one so I could see how it turned out. The 2nd one has some good battle scenes as does the third one, and I will reaffirm that they get better with each installment. My biggest gripe was that the third one was, and seemed like it, longer than the rest. The last 30-45 minutes was pointlessly drawn out and I wanted to jab my eyes out. And in the second one (with the girl) stupid me orders an extra large Minute Maid, and of course after 90 minutes I had to pee. I didn't want to miss anything, so I was miserable. I digress. As a whole, I enjoyed the trilogy. However I don't think I will ever watch them by choice again. Too long. I rather do other stuff than watch it. I frequently have to question these extended four disc sets they release with all the extra footage. I mean seriously, wtf?

Renteria always reminded me of one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the live action movie made in 1990. That being said, I always respected him as an above average player, but not to the extent that he gets that amount of money for that small span. Many people say it is not that much, which when compared to A-Rod, it is a lot less, but honestly, the man isn't making or breaking anyone's season.

Can I assume you moved Arkansas State out of the Sun Belt conference? Or did some freak miracle happen and several Sun Belt teams get ranked?

Just in time for Thanksgiving, south Louisiana has finally got some 50 degree weather. As far as snow, we haven't had any since 89-90. Sometime around 95 we had a flurry, but no significant blanket of snow for almost 15 years.

I just bought a 120 GB external harddrive for like 179.99 at OfficeMax. It's only going to cost 99.99 once I get all my rebate checks in. Well, I got a 30.00 instant at the register, so in reality, it only cost an initial 149.99, with 50.00 more coming back to me in a few weeks. It's REALLY nice.

It'd be nice if they had some sort of Phonetic chart thing to where you can select the pronounciation of your CAW. That way you can have your CAW "John Doe" and you can select the phonetic spelling (see the chart in Webster's dictionary) and the ring announcer can announce the CAW as such. You know they have the capability of doing that in this day and age.

I'm looking at getting the Death of WCW book as it looks very promising. As far as the Wrestlecrap book goes, I really enjoyed it. However it was essentially the website in book form. I had a lot of literary deja vu reading it. It was still enjoyable considering the stuff that was rehashed, I haven't really looked at in a while anyway. The pictures were the best part in my opinion.

During the Goldberg streak when they fed Enos and Bloom to him, the next day in school, some "insta-fan" was talking about the previous night's Nitro to some other guy. (Goldberg had just beaten Enos I think) The other guy says "Did Goldberg fight?" and the insta-fan was like "yeah he beat some jobber..." Knowing the history of them two, and then he just dismissing one of them as "some jobber" well, yeah As far as Jannetty goes, I think I would want to forget about being teamed with Leif Cassidy. (no offense to Al Snow or anything)

Students had class this morning, so they went to bed early. I am still bitter at South Florida. My I-AA school almost beat them last year, but a few questionable calls cost us the game (aside from being over matched my a I-A team). We blocked Santiago Grammatica 3 times in that game. Later I spoke to someone from the defense and he said "That had to be the worst kicker I've played agaisnt so far since getting in college." Anyway, we were sitting even with the goal line. It was fourth and 2. The coach decided to go balls out and go for it. The RB broke past the chains to the one yard line. The ref picked the ball up, put it back on the other side the chain, and motioned a turnover on downs. USF held on from that point. Anyway, I'm sure I'll get over it eventually.

Very true, I just never owned a Dreamcast, but when a friend would bring one by, or I'd go visit, and we'd play one, it was just as frustrating, if not more so. I just called Nintendo and reported what I saw in my mall, and they were very thankful to me. I should have seen if I could get a free Gamecube out of it.

Seen them selling some here in Louisiana today. I thought instantly of the thread that was here a few months back. I think I'll inform Nintendo of this. And by the way, Doesn't it seem silly to be playing an 8bit game with a N64 controller anyway? That has got to be the worst case of video game controller design I have ever seen. I loved my 64, but the controller frustrated me at times. And it was even worse when I had to babysit and parked the kid in front of the TV with the system. (I'm so responsible)
