  1. For those wondering, Proud American stopped being tracked, though it is still playing in three theatres in the Midwest
  2. I like when Virgil goes to roll Yokozuna up and he just sits on him. Also, I always felt sorry for Kamala during this feud. Wasn't his fault.
  3. It'd be London/Danielson IV

    NFL Week Four

Jamar Nesbit got suspended for four games. Come on, football gods.
  5. Seriously Smues. Is it an inside joke or can you just not spell? Good to see the Braves finally beat the Phillies.
  6. Nailz's voice is awesome
  7. Two posts above you. Come on Braves, I know you can beat the Phils at least once
  8. Even though these games are meaningless, it'd be nice if the Braves beat the Phils once down the stretch

    NFL Week 3

It's always hard to win when you don't have your top WR, top TE and Pierre Thomas is your running back. I'm not giving up or making excuses, it's just frustrating.

    NFL Week 3

Jeremy Shockey is out 3-6 weeks. I don't want to give up on a season in Week 3, but this just too much.
  11. Sisterhood 2 was really good. Not as good as the first one, but Amber's story was excellent and they actually did something with Blake Lively this time. Last I heard Amber was dating a black guy, didn't know she was tapping Tobias. I haven't met him per se, but I did once see Cross on the street.
  12. Wait a minute... you mean Sorry, I should've made that clearer. I just hated that scene. Everyone jumped when it happened and I was like: Holy shit, this movie rocked my world. And then it was just such a lame comedown.
  13. Meltzer said the plan was always Sid-Hogan, and never was going to be Flair-Hogan. From a Meltz post at WrestlingClassics- On the "planned" Flair-Hogan main event for WrestleMania VIII: QUOTE The plan was always Hogan-Sid, dating back a year. Business was very different then. House shows were advertised big. You didn't do 2-3 matches in every market on a house show and then the PPV. I knew Hogan-Sid as the main event maybe 10 months out. When they did the TV announcement of Hogan-Flair, it was just an angle as Flair already knew he was facing Savage by then. What people don't realize is that Hogan-Flair started off doing good business, but it had petered out by December, months before Mania. Vince was going to build to Hogan legdropping Flair at the house shows early 1992, but after a terrible house in Florida, Vince felt it had run its course. He changed all the shows to Hogan & Piper vs. Flair & Sid, and it was Hogan-Sid drawing the money. The only Hogan-Flair Mania hint was in September of 91, when they started their house show run, and Flair wanted to do 30:00 matches and Hogan wanted 15:00, he told Flair they needed to save the 30:00 match for Mania. But when crowds for the program dropped, and second time in our market they only did 5400 at the Cow Palace, and our market had it first, there was no Mania in their future. In hindsight people think it would have been a big deal, but it had already run its course months before Mania and WWE promoted the program ass backwards and Flair wasn't considered special by WWF fans. I'm a friend of Flair and have never had any interest in paying to see Sid, but that is how it was then.
  14. Well they turned their #1 face heel and aligned him with the one man everyone had been conditioned to know that he hated with a passion. Of course he wasn't going to draw well. And you can't compare Sammartino's run in the 60s to Austin in the late 90s. For the record, Hogan is the face of the WWF. He's still a big name in the mainstream media, while no one cares about Austin
  15. That's not really true, as Austin returned in 2000. The show where he returned, Unforgiven, drew a monster buyrate. Business didn't start to go down until after he turned heel in April of 01, which was months after he returned.
  16. That's one less vote. Damn
  17. So, when we banning Vanhalen?
  18. That's what Nyquil is for
  19. And Tiger Stadium hosted the Detroit Lions for 36 years as well. In many ways, Yankee Stadium could not compare to Tiger Stadium. You're not even trying al.
  20. Because Yankee Stadium had a lot more World Series and legendary players. Again, really no comparison. Plus, NYC isn't letting Yankee Stadium rot away like Detroit is. Also, a lot of what Smartly Pretty said. I do agree that it is annoying that people conveniently forget that Yankee Stadium was rebuilt in the 70s. Weird how Turner Field is probably one of the oldest NL stadiums.
  21. No, there's no comparison of Yankee Stadium to Tiger Stadium. Plus, who would get the curtain call at the last game at Tiger Stadium- Damion Easiley?
  22. Jose Molina is now the answer to a trivia question. That's awesome
  23. It's like in basketball when they call a timeout to let a player soak in the applause. He's the most popular player on the current Yankees, and probably the most popular player since he joined the team in 1996. He just recently became the all time leader for hits at Yankee Stadium. He's currently the face of the franchise. One has nothing to do with the other. It's the last game in the most famous stadium in America, it definitely deserves to be a big deal. Personally, I think it's stupid that their moving to a new stadium anyway.
  24. He's the most popular player on the team, and just recently set the record for most hits at Yankee Stadium. Girardi gave him a chance to get one last standing ovation at Yankee Stadium, just like they put Rivera in to close it out.
