  1. UConn, Oklahoma, UNC all lose- does this Memphis is going to be #3? Wow.
  2. Toronto v. Vancouver comes to Sundin on the shootout? Come on, you can't beat that
  3. Neither is The Rock!!! Techncially The Rock isn't African-American because his father is African-Canadian... American= North American. Also, it's not half black history month.
  4. You can't hate on the guy. It's not like he does paycheque movies for the sake of paycheque movies like Eddie Murphy.
  5. The Supporting Acting categories are made for shockers. It's one of those categories that no one cares about a little after the fact but it makes for good chatter and adds to the anything can happen feel
  6. Josh Brolin has the best shot at pulling off the upset Bullshit. Philip Seymour Hoffman is going to take it. No, he's not. Hoffman has already won before, and is considered a longshot at best. If Ledger doesn't win, the odds on favourite is Brolin, who has been tons of praise for his performance. I still think Ledger will pull it off, since it will look so bad if he doesn't, but it wouldn't shock me to see Brolin win. It would also be a way of rewarding him for his quality of work the past few years, particularly his performance in W.
  7. Josh Brolin has the best shot at pulling off the upset
  8. Memphis v. UTEP will never not give me a heart attack
  9. http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/975...-Leaves-TNA.htm Sonjay Dutt Leaves TNA Posted by Larry Csonka on 02.21.2009 So long Sonjay… According to Pwinsider.com, Sonjay Dutt is done with TNA. The two sides were trying to come to terms on a new deal, and when they couldn't, Dutt opted to leave the promotion. As of last week, TNA was still working on plans for Dutt, so they did not expect him to leave. Also, Dutt was essentially the face of TNA in India, where Impact had done very well on TV. Dutt's profile has been removed from TNAwrestling.com, and as of now, there is no word on the future of SoCal Val, who had been Dutt's on air valet and love interest.
  10. Sonjay Dutt being gone should be it's own thread, it's not a random thought, guys.
  11. Shopgirl was pretty good, I thought, though a little too slow.
  12. Uhhh what? Burke was huge in Vancouver. He rescued them from the doldrums of the Keenan era, putting them in the playoffs and rescuing a floundering franchise. Under Burke, they made it to the second round in 03 for the first time in forever. It was the organisation that idiotically let him go in 04, instead of firing Crawford, which is what they should've done all along. I didn't know making it to the Cup Finals was the be all end all.
  13. Don't worry LA football fans, you'll have the Saints to root for sooner or later.
  14. There's no bandwagon to jump on
  15. You completely ignore his writing, which is great. I loved Pure Drivel and Born Standing Up, and his pieces for the New Yorker are hilarious. His movies are hit and miss since then, but he does the movies to fund his art collection and to allow him to continue to write. I love Bowfinger though, that's a great movie.
  16. Andy Richter was the big surprise guest? Really? That was worth NBC blurring him out? Decent show tonight, the Conan plays 1864 baseball clip was great
  17. I haven't heard anything about it. Norm lives in LA, and Conan loves having him on, so it wouldn't be out of the question, but the guy does tour a lot.
  18. And it will still be better than your posts! Up high?
  19. Fuck, I'm going to see the Isles on Thursday
  20. It's a TSM thing where every couple months we talk about the death of the board. It's getting tiring
  21. No, for two reasons. One, it wasn't exposing at all. Only when Bob Zmuda's book on Andy Kaufman came out did anyone admit to it being fixed, and it had quite a few people guessing up until then. Second, wrestling has been "exposed" all the way back in the 1920s or '30s. That's not true. It was admitted to being a work in a 1995 documentary on Andy Kaufman.
  22. Aronofsky commissioned Siegel to write the script, and Siegel and Aronofsky both had Rourke in mind.
  23. Cheech has a topic for everything. Damn. And really, EHME, Screech is still the best you can come up with?
  24. Vince, The Rock thinks you should fire him. Stay out of this, you stay out of this. The final segment makes no sense, but Austin, Vince and The Rock are hilarious
  25. Because a lot of of people weren't wrestling then? I ony knew him b/c I know all the champions in order. I wish there was a tag title one...or even Euro champions
