  1. Only Nicholson will get one, but they were all just awesome.
  2. I loved Blues Brothers 2000. Then again I was 12, but the music is awesome
  3. What do you call 655,000 dead Iraqis A good start
  4. EHME's gotta protect his niggers
  5. I loved every second of this movie. Just awesome. Alec Baldwin, Jack Nicholson and Mark Wahlberg, all deserve Oscars
  6. Scroby v. Barron: Next week, it's personal. Baldwin can't be the main guy on 30 Rock b/c of his movie career. His waffling on whether to join 30 was a major headache. I hated The Class pilot, and never went back. I like Jason Ritter, but seeing Janice Ian play a 28 year old is weird. I'll keep watching Help Me until it gets the axe
  7. They really shouldn't give Big Dave the title next week- if he's going to win it, make it at a big PPV so it's a huge deal. Finlay has to interfere- Booker's just so good as King Booker that it's too soon for him to lose the title
  8. I loved last night's episode, and this show is so good. Sadly though- Week two of ABC’s The Nine completely squandered its Lost lead-in, with a distant second-place 7.0/11 in the overnights, 8.41 million viewers and a 3.2/ 9 among adults 18-49. Compared to it’s week-ago debut (Overnights: #2, 9.1/15; Viewers: #2, 11.91 million; A18-49: #2, 4.6/12 on Oct. 4), that was a loss of 23 percent in the overnights, 3.50 million viewers and 30 percent among adults 18-49. The Nine also declined significantly at 10:30 p.m. with a loss of 18 percent in the overnights (7.7/12 to 6.3/10), 1.93 million viewers (9.38 to 7.45 million) and 25 percent among adults 18-49 (3.6/10 to 2.7/ 7). (From http://www.mediaweek.com/mw/newsletters/pr...ider/index.jsp) If The Nine keeps tanking, I hope ABC gives them ample word and maybe they can wrap up some of the mysteries. With Lost starting to turn-off viewers, I think putting two serialistic shows back to back just wasn't the right move
  9. More on 30 Rock/20 Good Years- With three successful shows co-existing in the 8 p.m. hour (plus baseball in the mix on Fox), there was little room for the premieres of NBC’s highly touted 30 Rock and the largely panned 20 Good Years. 30 Rock kicked off with a modest 6.3/10 in the overnights (#4), 8.26 million viewers (#3) and a 2.9/ 9 among adults 18-49 (#3) at 8 p.m. That led into 20 Good Years at a not-so-good 5.7/ 9 in the overnights (#4), 6.97 million viewers (#4) and a 2.5/ 7 among adults 18-49 (#4t) at 8:30 p.m. Compared to year-ago failed occupant E-Ring (Overnights: #2t, 6.4/10; Viewers: #2, 8.56 million; A18-49: #4, 2.3/ 7 on Oct. 12, 2005) that was, on average, a decline of 6 percent in the overnights and 640,000 viewers, but an increase of 17 percent among adults 18-49 for the two comedies. Of note: The last time NBC opened the season with sitcoms in the Wednesday 8 p.m. hour was in 1997 with The Tony Danza Show and Built To Last, and both those shows were gone by December. 20 Good Years is not long for this earth, but I think increasing 17% from E-Ring is a positive sign.
  10. At 8 p.m., ABC got a 12.3/19 from the "Dancing with the Stars" results show to easily win the hour. CBS' "Jericho" maintained the audience from its first three weeks and finished second. FOX was third with a 5.2/8 for baseball, just ahead of the premieres of NBC's endlessly promoted "30 Rock" (5.5/9) and "Twenty Good Years" (4.7/7). The NBC comedies did average more viewers than the Tigers-A's on FOX. The CW's "America's Next Top Model" was fifth with a 3.7/6.
  11. CBS, NBC call for backup By Nellie Andreeva and Andrew Wallenstein Thu Oct 12, 2:25 AM ET LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - CBS and NBC are bringing in the midseason reinforcements for Tuesday and Wednesday nights with newcomer "3 Lbs." and returning drama "Medium," respectively. ADVERTISEMENT NBC also is throwing its cards down in the wee hours with plans for an hourlong poker series set to air Monday-Saturday at 2:05 a.m. CBS has slated "3 Lbs." to premiere November 14 in the Tuesday 10 p.m. slot previously occupied by "Smith," which was canceled last week after three airings. "3 Lbs." revolves around the relationship between a rising star brain surgeon (Mark Feuerstein), and the brilliant but unpredictable surgeon he works under ( Stanley Tucci). NBC will bring the Emmy-winning drama "Medium," starring Patricia Arquette, back to its primetime lineup in the Wednesday 10 p.m. slot recently vacated by low-rated serial drama "Kidnapped," which has relocated to Saturday. "Medium," entering its third season, is expected to move into the Wednesday berth by mid November. NBC declined comment. NBC did confirm Wednesday that it has greenlighted a new overnight entry, "Poker After Dark," that will air every night except Sunday at 2:05 a.m. "Dark" is a one-hour poker competition series in which six professional card sharks play in the back rooms of Las Vegas casinos for a $120,000 prize. "There's a vibrant late-night audience looking for original programming," said Marc Graboff, president of NBC Universal Television, West Coast. "We felt this inside look at the professional poker scene is perfect for late-night television and those viewers seeking an unique and original broadcast." The Saturday night edition, which will air at 1 a.m. ET following "Saturday Night Live," is a recap of the week's competition featuring commentary from the winner. "Dark" is hosted by Shana Hiatt, former host of "World Poker Tour."
  12. Yes, he was fired for not wanting to rehab himelf and his body b/c he's a drug addict. TNA, always looking out for those guys!
  13. Wait a minute- theres someone else who watches Help Me Help You? If ever a show screamed "cancelled" it's that one. It's so low budget, I don't see how it got on the air. Danson's awesome though. I'm not saying 30 Rock was great, but I'm just so excited at seeing Alec Baldwin on my TV every week
  14. It's the same premise, but both shows are totally different in terms of presentation
  15. Who's going to watch 20 Good Years? At least Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin have a fanbase. Plus, it's up against the last half hour of Dancing with the Stars, which will hurt. Of course, Studio 60 is tanking and I'm always wrong about this stuff, so who knows.
  16. K-Mart
  17. 30 Rock doesn't have a laughtrack. My fear for 30 Rock is that Baldwin's not going to be the lead b/c of his movie committments. Tracy can't be the centrepiece of the show- that will be disaster.
  18. Even if you didn't like the show overall, no one can hate on Alec Baldwin. He was perfect 20 Good Years was just John Lithgow overracting with an annoying laughtrack that roared at every line he delivered. I like Lithgow but he was too much. Awful show, won't last.
  19. File this under tough shit
  20. OMG
  21. Didn't suck at all. I had some problems with the opening bit (allusion to Mary Tyler Moore- wtf?), and I thought it tailed off a bit at the end, but I enjoyed it. Baldwin was tremendous, and I loved the scenes with him and Tina. There were also some really good scenes (the scene at Alfredos and the strip club), and Jack McBrayer is going to be the breakout star if anyone watches this show. If the show is basically the three main characters bouncing off each other with Jack McBrayer popping in and out- it'll be fine.
  22. Living the gimmick
  23. Actually, last night CSI did MUCH better then Smith. Weird. They haven't cancelled Friday Night Lights yet, but I think sending it to Friday is deal. The problem with Sunday is that you ruin the flow of the football by putting Friday Nights Lights in there.
  24. You should stick to being a professional otaku
