  1. Okay Mike- we'll just agree to disagree to here. I see your point about expecting nothing going in. I would've given the match ****1/4 regardless but I just got more joy out of it since I did not expect anything going in. Zsasz- You know my feelings about HBK and even I was marking out like a bitch when he was attacking HHH and JR was screaming about the match being non sanctioned
  2. He should've done the job to Booker T. When you book a feud called: White guy doesn't think black people are good enough and the white man wins- that does nothing for nobody
  3. The ME at Slamboree wasn't okay. It was awesome. I haven't seen the match in a while but it blew me away since I wasnt expecting much going in. Jarrett, despite his numerous faults, is a good worker.
  4. 1) That's SK's viewpoint. 2) Have you seen the match yourself? 3) SK's admitted that he was fully loaded himself recapping 1999 PPVs. Yea- Edge and Eddy only had two MOTYC in the span of a week. Is that because Memphis booking=money, heat and the other good things that you want to achieve in pro wrestling?
  5. Considering how in WWF D-Lo was forced to wear a turban and work with Tiger Ali Singh I think he's happy with his current position in TNA. That's great that SK thinks that- watch the match and form your own opinion next time
  6. Triple H v. Goldberg was not watchable at all. The match was boring with Goldberg not ready to work long matches and HHH not being able to do anything with him. It also featured a horrible anti-climatic finish and was just dead throughout
  7. I don't know- I think the money that D-Lo is making is causing him to not mind so much. Watch the match- Edge did not carry Jarrett there. Edge wasn't even that good back then.
  8. Where do you get the impression that I like Jeff Jarrett? I think he's a cancer in TNA and deserves to have his quad tear off. But Jarrett IS better then Triple H in terms of ring work. One good match at Summerslam does not a better worker make. When the company began- who do you think was paying the bills? Panda Because Jarrett is a face as well
  9. The fact remains that even though AJ won- D-Lo was heavily protected and was made to look very strong. As for the tag team thing, well since, AMW are protected in the promotion (and bitch and complain when they have to job, and painfully average wrestlers, and, in Storm's case, just plain weird looking) I'm sure he's quite happy seeing how he is making more money then he would have in WWE. Yea- The feud was so well written that the crowd was just on fire throughout their 38 minute snoozefest at Armageddon. The feud started out okay but it just died at the end. Fully Loaded 98 v. Val Venis Summerslam 98 v. X-Pac Fully Loaded 99 v. Edge Summerslam 99 v. D-Lo Brown There ya go- There's 4
  10. That cage match was awesome- Probably the best match WCW had in 2000. You can hate Jarrett all you want but the man is a good worker.
  11. No- At least Jarrett is putting his own money into the product. HHH just has to fuck Stephanie. Your ignorance just astounds me. D-Lo was still in the main event after he lost to Jarrett. He had a month long heavily hyped feud with AJ Styles and main evented several shows when they were a tag team. Glenn Gilberti's main event push ended due to injuries to his back. Raven IS NOT BEING BURIED. His feud has gotten the most airtime, the most hype and the most heat from the crowd. He's the #1 face in the company for God's sake. And if you don't like how the feud is going- Go cry to Raven about it.
  12. I hate the Yankees with a passion. I hate the Marlins with a passion. But in this World Series I will root for the Yankees. Fuck Loria
  13. Associated Press OAKLAND, Calif. -- Oakland Raiders linebacker Bill Romanowski was sued Thursday by teammate Marcus Williams, seriously injured when they fought during practice. The suit, filed in Alameda County court, seeks unspecified damages for alleged battery, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Williams celebrates the Raiders' AFC Championship win last season. Romanowski instigated the fight Aug. 24 when he ripped off Williams' helmet and punched him in the face, breaking a bone around his left eye. The fracture put Williams on injured reserve -- ending his season before it began. No criminal charges were filed, and Romanowski apologized publicly several days later. On Thursday, Williams' agent said that was not enough. "Seeing Bill's somewhat cavalier attitude in terms of apologizing after each incident and saying it wasn't going to happen again and never being taken to task for it was getting underneath Marcus' skin," agent Lee Kolligian said. The 37-year-old Romanowski has been known for fanatical behavior during his 16-year NFL career. This was the latest physical episode involving Romanowski, who missed just one day of practice after the fight. The lawsuit includes two graphic photos showing close-ups of Williams' swollen and bleeding eye socket and asks that Romanowski pay for Williams' medical expenses. Romanowski has not played since a loss Sept. 22 in Denver because of a series of concussions and is considering retirement. He was in Pittsburgh on Thursday being evaluated, Raiders coach Bill Callahan said. Romanowski has been called a racist for, among other things, spitting in the face of 49ers receiver J.J. Stokes during a game in 1997. He has been called a headhunter for a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit on quarterback Kerry Collins. Three years ago, he was accused of illegally obtaining prescription diet drugs, charges on which he was later acquitted. Calls to Romanowski's agent, Tom Condon, were not immediately returned. Cases in which professional sports teammates sue each other are rare. "I did not find a situation where one teammate has injured another teammate during a practice in this way," said Williams' lawyer James Brosnahan, who has tussled with the Raiders in court before. "And for good reason. Teammates have to treat each other with respect." Brosnahan represented the Oakland Coliseum in a case that ended in August when a jury decided stadium officials owed the franchise $34.2 million for luring it back from Los Angeles eight years ago on false promises of a packed stadium. The team had sought closer to $1 billion and though both sides claimed victory, they also said they would appeal. Romanowski and Williams fought at the end of a running play during a 9-on-7 drill. Williams, who played mostly on special teams last season, was taken to a local hospital for tests and has been seeing eye specialists since. "Marcus Williams wants to continue as an Oakland Raider but this assault has put his future in doubt," Brosnahan said. He said that while Williams will lose playing time this year, "the big issue is whether he can come back and play" at all. Williams' agent said the Raiders have kept tabs on Williams. "They're very interested in Marcus' condition and they have been inquiring about how he's coming along," Kolligian said. Brosnahan said it would probably be a year before the case goes to trial. The case is Marcus Williams v. William Romanowski, 03-122024.
  14. Yea- The grammar stuff they teach you is the sucky part of journalism

  16. I am a journalist as well 1inch punch- (I actually am- no joke) and I can say using everything I learned in journalism school so far- You're an idiot
  17. Can anyone post a video clip of it for those who don't get ESPN
  18. Yea- Everyone was there just to see Dustin Diamond so no one got any heat. Dux with his dancing and antics actually had the crowd behind him- I was impressed
  19. I went to a BCW show in September- D-Lo v. Synn, Sabin v. Young and Hacksaw/Anvil v. two local guys were the big matches. Shelley worked a three-way with Tyson Dux and someone else.
  20. Not to nitpick but Owen worked for WCW in 1991. I also didn't realise how much Stu has influenced wrestling until I actually thought about it. Does anyone know when he stopped training guys?
  21. Statement from Vince McMahon, Chairman, World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. It was with great sorrow that we learned today of the death of Stu Hart. Stu was a pioneer in professional wrestling. More importantly, he was a great man. His influence within our industry, his community and his country was immense. He will be missed, but his legend will live on. All of us at WWE™ send our condolences to Stu’s family. Our thoughts and our prayers are with them during this difficult time.
  22. That would be so awesome if they did Storm v. Jericho as a tribute to Stu.
  23. Ever since he got raked over the coals for ignoring Lou Thesz and Wahoo McDaniel- Vince has been pretty good about giving big name wrestlers their due. (ie Curt Hennig and Freddie Blassie) And I think Vince and Stu were always on good terms (He let him do a match in the Dungeon after Montreal) so I don't see why he wouldn't get a mention
  24. They probably won't mention anything on Smackdown! but he'll definetley get something on RAW.
  25. I just watched Wrestling with Shadows a week ago- and the scenes with Stu stretching that guy is still one of my favourite parts of the movie. Thanks for everything Stu.
