  1. That's a real shame, he seemed like a decent guy from the little bit of him I saw.
  2. I also know of Clapton, Jerry Garcia with the Grateful Dead, and Phil Lesh with his band doing it
  3. Oh, I skipped that because I have the ECW Bareky Legal DVD
  4. Probably the TNA thing.
  5. It's probably just me, but I swear even bad matches with the WWF in the corner feel better than bad events with the WWE there. I don't know why, but a lot of people here have disliked Wrestlemania 2000 and X8 and yet I like them quite a bit.
  6. I'll be getting the Hogan set, if only on Netflix, if nothing else
  7. I'm pretty much the same
  8. I'd say so, especially if you missed out on ECW's brief DVD releasing period(which was all after the company tanked, it looks like)
  9. The one where he tries to stop the match because of Ian's cut? Yes. Then some stuff happens before Tod Gordon comes out and says start the match
  10. I got the DVD on Saturday, there were a ton of them at the Best Buy I work at. I watched the whole thing now other than the extra Public Enemy vs Gangstas match, it's pretty good. The only really bad match there is the Taipei Death match, but that's more about blood than match quality anyhow. The best match is probably the Rey/Psycosis match. I'm pretty happy with it. what'sinteresting is they seemed to want to minimize the WWE feel to it by not putting the logo on anything like they have everything else. It's a nice touch. I'm all for more ECW and WCW stuff being released since I didn't get to watch them until they were dead other than couple of Nitros I saw in Spanish.
  11. You can't blame a guy for that, though, tattoos, as I understand it, hurt like crazy to get, so if I put myself through that, I wouldn't want to get it messed up if I can do something to work around it
  12. Oh God, I still can't believe I bought that when it was new...that seriously is the worst wrestling game in a couple of generations
  13. Good to hear, I'll be looking foward to the DVD. I'm betting this is TNA giving the finger to WWE for wasting Christian
  14. I've got a match! Otaku II vs. Flex Phillips!
  15. I'm curious, are the Hoytamania shirts fan made? I don't see them on the website, all they have are AJ, Daniels, Team Canada, Raven, and Jeff
  16. I haven't played the second one, but Day Of Reckoning isn't bad at all, quite nice, in fact. Legends of Wrestling 2 can also be found for cheap, and it's good if you don't mind that you have a health meter. The LoW games are also the only games on the current generation of systems that allows for a true Survivor Series match
  17. One could day that the Grateful Dead never seemed to be quite happy with how their songs are played in concert and I think that's why Phil Lesh still tours, because he knows the fans love the music and to continue to try differant ways of playing their large song bank, trying new band members(he's even had Joan Osborne and Ryan Adams in his band at the end of 2005)
  18. Their DVDs have good matches and look fine, that's all that matters to me, and the shirts look pretty good...but that's me
  19. Real classy after Eddie dies of heart failure
  20. Games that didn't do big business are also dropping like flies, the newest Tony Hawk for $30, Gun and Genji for $20 and of course the X Box got killed dead by the 360 release
  21. Actually, looking at the jacket and whatnot, it screams "Guy trying to stand out" whereas I always thought Sabin was a guy who relied on his ringwork to make him stand out, which was cool in my book. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree, but heck, if it means Sabin winning some PPV matches, I'll take it.
  22. Terribly sorry, again, I had a big old brain fart, just leave a slot and I PROMISE I will have at least a promo for this show before the end of the weekend
  23. I'll have something, a promo, at least
  24. The MJ game wasn't bad, it was just hard and kinda cheap. It had a unique gimmick in the basketball as a weapon and I think it was well integrated
  25. That game has an odd history. It's based on a Konami arcade B-Ball title called Run n' Gun (which was unlicensed). There was a 3DO title that was a virtual clone called Slam n' Jam. Shortly after, Konami released NBA Give 'n Go on SNES. Konami decided to be a wet blanket, and released their 32-bit follow ups to Give 'n Go as "NBA In the Zone." Just about all of them are decent to good, though: tight arcade-style gameplay and an excellent game perspective. Since the GBA NBA Jam sucked, Konami should make, like, "NBA Jive 'n Drive" for it. EDIT: Damn, I think the GBA NBA Jam 2002 is the only basketball game on the system. Cool, I never knew all that. It's also a game that benefits from emulation, because it didn't have battery backup for some reason, but you can use save states to make up for that(at this point though, I'm not bothering to screw with the roster). It also didn't have Shaq for some reason, he seemed to be like Jordan for a while and not appear in video games for some reason around '96
