I understand Nl5xsk1's point but really there are better examples. Shelton Benjamin is an amateur wrestler and he botches spots a lot in WWE. Bobby Lashley is supposedly a celebrated amateur wrestler and he hasn't shown that in WWE at all.

Luger was a bodybuilder. Goldberg, once again, a failed football player. He fits in the Rock mold really as far as the transition to wrestling. Lawrence Taylor only had one match.

Mongo was a football player, not a wrestler. At least not as good as Kurt Angle or even Brock Lesnar.

They still have to be retrained as a pro wrestler. Kurt Angle was just lucky enough to learn everything and "get it" faster than normal.

Angle's not correctly portrayed as an Olympic Gold Medalist so to say just because he is one means he is a great pro wrestler is stupid. Most of the stuff he does in WWE would get him disqualified in Olympic/NCAA meets.
