No. They will just shift the focus to the next most attractive matchup, and will continue to do so as the matchups are eliminated every weekend up to the Super Bowl when they are left with the least attractive matchup (Perhaps Pittsburgh vs Washington or something)

I root for USC because a few of my relatives went and I always wanted to go to USC (I will next fall). My interest in the school increased when I moved out to California from Illinois so yeah there ya go.

Yeah. I briefly played as Hogan in Season mode and was disappointed that he never said "brother" or "dude" every once in a while. With Hogan you'd have to say "Brother" every other word.
