  1. Seems like a rather pointless topic if everyone is picking the same people.
  2. The "NEW IC Champion Bret Hart" was on the '91 Summerslam match vs Perfect.
  3. I guess Anya could always just go back to those dime a dozen fighting games because it's SO COOL for her.
  4. But he has shown he is far from ready. Fact: Now that they have brought Christian in, it's becoming painfully obvious that if they continue with Monty's push it would rival Jericho/X-Pac in stupidity, with WWE continually trying to show that X-Pac is better than Jericho when every fan knew otherwise.
  5. I also have a problem that the TNA fanbase here seems to want to kill off a legitimately good thing just so they can push a sucky wrestler whose only apparent appeal is in screaming "POOOOOUNCE!".
  6. Apparently Nate Quarry is in Amy's myspace network. FEAR HER.
  7. I think Fishyswa likes the attention.
  8. His name is Fishyswa. Try to work in that extra S somewhere.
  9. As much as he didn't really do well in Detroit, I always thought McMahon could have been a quality mid-career starter a la Matt Hasselbeck but with better scrambling ability.
  10. Gotta agree with MisawaGQ. His best work was in Japan as Black Tiger. I bought a compilation tape of his Japan work. It blew me away. So many matches that he just did awesome in...
  11. Thanks for reminding me of the Truth. The Truth deserves a better run with the belt.
  12. Thank you for proving why it should be Christian. I said they should build Christian towards the belt for 2006. With Austin, who I assume you refer to in that statement, he was visible in WCW and ECW prior to coming over to WWF. Then he worked in WWF for 2 years prior to his belt win. With Christian, he's been visible in WWF/E for 7-8 years. The fans in Orlando and everywhere else (when TNA expands) needs to have a visible guy as their champion. Christian could be it. Monty... no. He's only been seen in Orlando every two weeks or however often they run shows, so it's very easy for him to establish himself there but when TNA decides to run house shows and shows outside Florida, they're not going to do well with Monty as their standard bearer. That's my opinion on it. I do agree they need to pull the trigger on Monty, but as of now, Christian should be the long term plan for their champion.
  13. Angle also has a heart condition.
  14. I'd lean towards HHH. He's a bigger name. Batista is relatively newer than Eddie so he wouldn't make bigger news than Eddie (though I might be wrong).
  15. Guess? Shit, son, the answer is obvious.
  16. Yeah sure. Give Monty the belt and remain a bush league promotion. Whatever works, hey?
  17. But can the family prove Eddy DID NOT take them?
  18. I hear them too... though it sounds like *puck being slapped around on ice by wood*
  19. And Texas's opponents.
  20. Now if he was built up nicely for as long as you say, DH, then yes I can see Chavo being a main event material player. As far as now is concerned, which is what most people in this thread is talking about, no. The most he should go at this point is the IC/US title level. If he has a good run with that belt, to the point people can buy his ascension to the next level, then so be it.
  21. Chavo is good enough to be IC or tag team champion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I already responded to this.
  22. HE IS NOT MAIN EVENT MATERIAL. ACCEPT IT.
  23. The way I see it, if they do Christian/Monty for TP, fine. But what I would do with it is have it go down to the wire, with Christian ducking/avoiding the Pounce and sending Monty sprawling to the canvas. Christian quickly hits the Unprettier and pins him for the win. Then they have Christian go "Monty, you were so close, but no dice. Try again later, kid." and Christian then gets the Monty build up towards the title, while Monty gets more feuds with the upper midcarders that can work, so Monty could learn a bit more about the craft. Realistically, if Monty gets the belt soon, he'd be over for a while before the fans start longing for someone else with a real character to take it... so to avoid that, they need to hold off on Monty for a long while.
  24. A push to the US/IC title level is fine with me. The way some people here sound, it's like they're calling for Chavo to be the next undisputed champion, with Eddie's gimmick to boot.
  25. The thing is, if Christian is a long term TNA guy now, they need to switch around so that Christian gets Monty's push (because he has a better character and better mic work), and let Monty build his character up more. Have Christian be the long term plan for 2006 and Monty for like 2007 or later.
