Ok I will impart some wisdom. For pitching... I find this method to be successful, considering I've struck out a good 15-25 guys a game (on medium), is that I always pitch the first two balls fastballs to the lower corner that is "cold" it will be displayed as blue, and if you're up in the pitching count like 2-0, then it usually work to throw a wicked curveball at the high corner (take your pick which). Works well. As for the batting, just tilt your control stick up a little, and whack the hell out of the ball. Fielding- I have no idea considering no one ever really hits well against me.

Those short-pass plays are usually on the first page of the playbook. Like where there are the most running plays because they do have wicked short-yard passing plays.

I started a dynasty for Cal... since they're getting no love for beating USC this year, I figured I might as well make them good.
