Explain. The segment was incredible and Mayweather is a legitmate star that the sports media won't trash like Pacman. Is the boxing match worked or shoot? Either answer carries their own risks. Worked- Boxing fans who MIGHT order the PPV to see Mayweather will not appreciate seeing a worked match involving their biggest star, and they will not likely stick around once Mayweather ends his commitments with the WWE, so you'd have to put Mayweather over your giant heel to send those fans home happy, and the WWE won't really get to see long term benefits of it, outside a possibly bigger gate than normal for Mania. Not to mention it makes Big Show look even worse for losing to a smaller boxer, even if the whole "David vs Goliath" aspect is a hot draw. I read once some wrestler wrote about Shane McMahon is that McMahon gets to do the big stunts because he doesn't have to wrestle the next night. The opponent does. Big Show will have to work in the WWE after this match (assuming this is not an one-off match for him as well), and he will have to live with the fact he lost to Mayweather. Shoot- I don't even have to explain the ramifications of a shoot match between the two.

I don't know. I actually rate the Flair match below the ECW title in terms of importance. No one is really buying him losing tonight, so this is a pure exhibition match of some sorts, whereas the ECW title actually has something believable on the line. Although this is not to say WWE feels the same way.

I am not sure, but probably a bigger media market (that's a given) with a front office that is more than willing to put talent around him and is committed to winning. The Cavs might be committed to winning but they still seem stuck in that mindset that they are an average team with a superstar, so they don't really seem to try and are content in whatever success LeBron gives them and just rake in the money that his presence makes them. And yes New York Knicks is a possibility, but Czech's likely joke of the Nets is probably not too far from the truth, especially if they play in Brooklyn (they will need a superstar to attract fans).

Kidd is not going to give Dallas the title. It has nothing to do with other teams being better positioned to win the title. It has more to do with the fact the trade would severely hurt Dallas in the postseason in terms of a depleted bench. Not to mention what Cheech said before about how Kidd isn't so good that he's worth Harris and about 5 or 6 others. And even though I'm overreaching by saying the title is just about theirs (among the three I mentioned), it's really the best bet. And I don't think a broken pinky would affect Kobe that much other than that he might miss a few more shots per game. They have Gasol now to help take the pressure off Kobe. That is undeniable. I just don't buy Phoenix that much, they couldn't win with Marion and now with a broken down Shaq (motivated or not), we're supposed to take them even more seriously? Golden State had a good run last postseason, but I think this time around teams are not going to sleep on them as much, and Utah is always a solid team but they seem to be missing something that you need to make a serious run. Denver is probably the darkhorse out in the West, but I don't trust a team that has two guys that likes the ball in their hands going too far in the postseason where they will probably think they have to up the ante on their own personal scoring. In a way you're right that I can't hand a team the title right now, but at least acknowledge that the teams I mentioned (Boston mostly) has a real fucking great shot to win it all. Probably moreso than most. Oh and the reason why I don't care much about the struggles the Spurs have right now is because they always do that. Then they shake it off and bore people to death en route to a deep postseason run, that sometimes end in a NBA title.
