  1. The slow moving USA left and a surprisingly fast, fundmentally sound team USA showed up to score a goal. Hopefully that team stays and the turtle speed squad I've seen before this moment will stay gone.
  2. WWE listed it last night on the ECW schedule. Looks like it's not very unlikely, it's happening.
  3. Why, what happend with Axl? No showed three or four times, didn't show up for ONS2, didn't tell them he wouldn't be there and has because left everyone in the dark and left Tommy hanging in the wind. It wouldn't surprise me to hear that the Axl situation is what basically caused Tommy to lose most of his power within the new ECW.
  4. I doubt if it ever gets less than Smackdown. Smackdown is just stuck in horrible timeslot land.
  5. If it's to be broadcast live, what's the problem? Shouldn't the arena be set up for Smackdown and THEN changed over for ECW by 10?
  6. I wonder why!?! That is extremely odd. I guess they have changed it to a live taping and feel the ECW Arena is too bush league for their tastes. That's all I can figure out.
  7. Resiliency: not a word. resiliency n 1: an occurrence of rebounding or springing back [syn: resilience] 2: the physical property of a material that can return to its original shape or position after deformation that does not exceed its elastic limit [syn: resilience] So for once, WWE.com didn't screw up a word.
  8. Soon they will be listed as "jobbers" and finally "unemployed". Also, Johnny Fairplay? God dammit, no. I hated that worthless sack in TNA. What the hell do people see in that guy? I'm intrigued which new guys will show up in ECW. I am still desperately holding out hope for Damaja and Doug Basham.
  9. There we go. Will we see any hippies getting killed on TV this week? That will definately get me to tune in. I'm just watching to see if the Alien shows up and does the sad walk from Arrested Development again.
  10. What worries me is the party seems to find someone progressive WORSE as they go. Hopefully this time they are starting with the bottom of the bin and working up to someone really good on the top.
  11. I don't understand this. She's not a wrestler and isn't trained to take bumps, so how do they justify giving her heat for this injury? I can understand how her unexpected yelling in pain could be distracting, but extenuating circumstances should prevail here. And I see no problem with her telling the fans she's fine considering they were probably going to ask anyways. She's a woman. If she was a black woman, they would have fired her.
  12. Larry had power back then, now he has lost all his power and the only way to keep any kind of power was to stick with Jarrett. Which makes sense back from the Dudley funeral segment. Earl is the same way, a fear of Cornette and a desperate need to keep power. That's all it was about and that's all the whole angle since the Dudleys and Sting arrived: Power and how to keep it.
  13. Yes, it did EXTREMELY well internationally which got it the sequel. It was cute, about what I expected out of a Garfield movie. The second one I haven't seen nor will I for seven to nine bucks. It's only 80 minutes long, screw that. The original had a budget of 50 million, it made 75 million in the US and 123 million overseas. So more than likely, this one will again do extremely well overseas but it won't justify a third one. Least I don't think it will but it might do huge. And they made a Road House 2??!?! The fuck?
  14. So basically, what you are saying, is if things stay they are right now the Democrats are likely to offer up Clinton or Kerry as a choice? With the outside on Warner (who I sorta like, it's early) and Feingold who I don't know that much about yet. The last two sound more appealing than the picks of doom.
  15. Well, my Tuesday night was just decided by this line Rescue Me, here I come.
  16. Marvin, what about your WB station? What is it switching too?
  17. Was it really that early? I remember WCW Saturday Night and the Clash of the Champions being my big thing in the 80's. My Monday Night Wrestling viewing didn't kick into high gear until the 90's and since then, it has been habit. Smackdwn sounds entertaining but it's on a Friday night and I'm very rarely home on Friday night anymore. Plus starting in July, SG1 and Atlantis start up and Smackdown takes a very distant backseat to those. DVR, my good man...it's a wonderful thing! I know Primetime was around as early as 86, I just can't remember if it started out on Mondays...I know it DID run on Mondays, just not sure what year it officially started, but yeah, Monday night wrestling has been on for almost 20 years. My recorder is usually handling something esle. Smackdown fell to like important program number 9 when it moved to Friday. Tonight's RAW doesn't sound that interesting but it also sounds like it has potential to be entertaining. Something RAW hasn't been for at least three weeks or long now.

    2006 NBA Finals

I stopped watching after game 2 because of the refs in Dallas. I saw bits and pieces of the other games and it confirmed what I expected. The refs will really give the home teams an over the top benefit of the doubt while treating the visitors like they shouldn't be allowed to guard someone. I saw it in the Dallas series and as a Mavs fan, it was pissing me off. I hate that hometown officiating bull that is going on in the NBA. It's making the games really slow and boring after a REALLY exciting first couple of rounds. Plus the two night delays between games also sucks. The Finals compared to the other rounds are night and day. The officiating sucked in the other rounds as well, but not as bad as this. Least not that I remember. The final play last night was definately a foul but the traveling, double dribble and the other violations the officials just seem to now ignore has gotten annoying. Whatever happened to calling it right down the middle?
  19. Monty had an interview on the preshow which made absolutely no sense. I love Monty but he confused the living hell out of me with his promo last night. Monty really isn't that fun as a heel and they killed all of his momentum with those Jarrett matches.
  20. Was it really that early? I remember WCW Saturday Night and the Clash of the Champions being my big thing in the 80's. 21. Joe winning with a powerslam makes sense because it allows Steiner to go nuts, claiming he lost on a fluke. It sounded like a fine ending to the match to me. I thought it would go DQ but Joe winning out of nowhere works just as well to set up a pissed off beyond belief Scott Steiner. It's a great feud, it should be extended and that's what they did.
  22. That sounds like a horrible ending to what sounded like a PPV that had the makings of being great. Stupid move TNA, really stupid move.
  23. See, comments like this are why I'm pissed I couldn't afford the PPV this weekend. Stupid big Fourth of July celebration eating all my funds.
  24. That's what I wanted to happen but I'm shocked as hell it actually happened. Early signs indicate maybe Nash is serious about putting the division over. I'm sure he'll change his mind soon though.
  25. One fun Shane Douglas promo, where he comes off like a combination of the Franchise and Sgt Slaughter. Sgt. Franchise? If he only he called them maggots and told them to drop and give him 20. How DARE they disgrace the Zombie!
