  1. One fun Shane Douglas promo, where he comes off like a combination of the Franchise and Sgt Slaughter.
  2. Jericho's triumphant return happens this Saturday night when WWE Superstar Chris Jericho stars with JOESPH "JOEY" LAWRENCE in ANDROID APOCALYPSE, starting at 9/8, only on SCI-FI! ....damn I really miss Cyrus. I'll keep my grain of hope in the jar for this Tuesdays show but something tells me it'll be worse this Tuesday than it was last week.
  3. To be fair, he IS the God of War and should be an absolute master of battle and total pain in the ass. I think that was the battle I liked most because of how much of a pain he was.
  4. Why not, I'll toss out some picks while I'm here KOTM: Christian wins, becomes cocky Captain Charisma TAG: AJ and Daniels Joe wins by DQ while Steiner goes all chair insane on him, ends with Joe out cold in recliner Nash after tons of interference by Shelley James Gang because of Brother Runt Rhino by GORE GORE GORE of D'Amore Sensai wins, starts his rise to the X title The Naturals over Team Canada
  5. Scary... What are the odds that WWE fans would pick a WWE PPV.
  6. I'd love to see a Truth title win. He brings tons of intensity, his promos are solid, and they have been pushing him so it wouldn't be too much of a shock. Although I get the feeling the Alpha Male will come out and hit him with the POUUUNNNNCEEEEE off the ladder. I think Sting will just try to keep JJ from winning it so that leaves Abyss and Christian. I can see Christian retaining but going super cocky heel during the match or after the match on IMPACT. If that or the Truth victory happens, I'll be pleased with the outcome. Hell, I'll accept Abyss as the World Champion.
  7. I actually want Ghana to beat the US and advance to the next round. I like the way they play more and I enjoy the speed they bring. The US really looks like they are moving in slow motion most of the time.
  8. Of course you can't always stop the tackle once you realize you'll only hit your opponent, but that's why the players are supposed to make sure they hit the ball before they jump in for a sweeping tackle. Flying into the opponent's feet with barely a chance to hit the ball is just stupid, especially if you're already booked like Pope was. The refereeing in this game has been pretty much spot on, the discipline of the US boys has not. Still, the US is plaing surprisingly well and I hope they get a draw. That'll make for an exciting third round. Mastroeni did touch the ball! And got a red card. The refs were very biased. Not that I care. Unless the US beats Ghana like 3-0, they're gonna need many things to go their way to have any chance at the 2nd round. Don't they just need Italy to beat the Czech Republic and they need to beat Ghana?
  9. Well, that prediction just got flushed.
  10. That was stupid, or a brillant swerve. Seems stupid though
  11. I'd rather see the Sandman get girl drink drunk each show.
  12. They could have had Johnny Depp show up backstage with Burchill, it would have been the best movie tie in ever.
  13. It's Oliver Stone, we'll probably have a scene where Cheney is sitting at a desk with a big cigar laughing and saying, "Everything is going according to plan". And a bunch of Generals standing in the background as shadows with visible name plates.
  14. Maybe that is the answer to everything. Just have the crowd sing his theme song. Does anyone have to pay if the crowd is singing the song? Course a Smackdown crowd didn't even know who he was, just looked at him like, "umm ok"
  15. Tonight, after ECW, stay tuned for the network television debut of...BATS! Actually, the lame striptease thing would've been the perfect time for it. Right as she's about to take her top of, we hear "EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME!" and out comes Cyrus. CM Punk could play the Steve Corino role. The Zombie and that vampire bloke could be the Dupps I don't care what anyone says, Cyrus as the leader of the Network was great. He really sounded like he gave a damn for TNN shows. I still want a three man commentary with Taz, Joey Styles and Richard Dean Anderson. The WWE should be making this happen. He could tell stories about the set of Sci-Fi's hit series STARGATE SG-1, which would totally appease Sci-Fi. Plus it draws in that surprisingly strong Richard Dean Anderson demographic.
  16. All right, tentacle rape finally comes to Argento films!
  17. I wonder if he got a date with a attractive girl who made it clear she would date him and fuck his brains out every minute until the day died...I wonder if his boss called and said someone needed to cover because one of his co-workers decided to go to Cancun for the weekend, I wonder if he would cancel the date to go to work?
  18. Jesus fuck, he either looks like he got the shit beat out of him or he's drunk/stoned. Christ, he's literally wasting away in the WWE.
  19. The fact someone thought that what they put on the air was a good idea shows you just how "special" the new ECW is. As for the OLD ECW, it had much edgy angles well before the WWE and incorporated some parts of the japanese and luchador style into American wrestling. Mixing in violent conflict with solid wrestling (in some of the matches, not all), ECW basically put on tv what would start the WWF Attitude Era. It wasn't perfect, it had a lot of really bad wrestlers, but it also helped push forward some of the biggest names in the wrestling industry. Not discover them, just give them the chance to shine on a televised show and allowed them the freedom to show what they had. It was basically, "ok, you got a character? So, make it work". The difference between an ECW battle royal and what we saw last night is the weapons in ECW were actually treated as weapons. You didn't see guys get hit with a sheet and just be like "ow, that kinda hurt", no you watched them go down.
  20. Looks like about what I expected. Pass.
  21. Because they know we have all of this damn talent in football and just come off like, "Who cares, it's only soccer right?" They deserved to be treated like shit. They showed no life in the first game of the World Cup. Hell, the teams that know they have no shot in hell of scoring a GOAL showed more life than Team USA in game 1. We have no bigger fish to fry in sports because when it comes to competing against other countries, we roll over and die. Good thing things on this planet aren't completely decided by sports else we'd be a third world country.
  22. AND DON'T FORGET ECW FANS, TUNE IN NEXT WEEK FOR THE FOREVER KNIGHT MARATHON! FOREVER KNIGHT, only on SCI-FI!
  23. The trouble I'm seeing is ECW hasn't gotten the upper hand once on a RAW superstar. It took six of them to try to slow down Cena and when the number was reduced to three, they were destroyed. They can have Raw "superstars" show up on ECW every once and a while, it would be good if you use it to set up a feud but the purpose HAS to be to GET the ECW wrestler OVER and not the other way around. Edge is already over, Cena is already over, but the ECW roster is getting to where it has no one who is over. Plus now they have Angle, Sabu and RVD all in situations where they are going to lose at the PPV. This isn't how to start a brand, it's a good way to kill one. You can't have the first matches on ECW TV be Sandman beats up a Zombie and Angle choking out Justin Credible (a former ECW world champion) for a grand total of two minutes. You can't do a battle royal that any fan can look at and go "this isn't impressive at all". That has been my problem with ALL of this. So far, they haven't built up anyone except Kurt Angle and he didn't NEED build up. Sabu is sorta getting build up but that doesn't make sense since his body really isn't going to hold up long. RVD has been going the wrong way for a month.
  24. If you watch the show from start to finish, the ECW fans in attendance go from excited, to hopeful, to bored, to obviously pissed the fuck off. Excited at the start Hopeful after the promo and zombie Bored after the strip tease Obviously pissed the fuck off by the end of the night
  25. This pretty much confirms the feeling that Smackdown was about to drop to 3 on the importance scale. They cleared out Angle, they cleared out Orton and now they moved out the head writer. I don't understand it, I don't watch Smackdown because it's on a Friday night and I always have something else going on but from what I heard it was always the consistent well done show.
