The way I look at it is that there was what, 20 years between the end of the new series and ANH right? You only saw Darth right after he turned to the Dark Side. He had to learn to use those powers to become the awesome power that Obi Wan describes. Now, it taking 20 years to build the Death Star was a little be off for me. I don't care how much training he ended up having. He wasn't seduced by the darkside, he whined and cried until the Dark side, "there there baby, we can make it allll better." They did just a really horrible job of making Darth Vadar.

Nirvana is suffering from overexposure which is what I think is hurting them the most. I thought they were alright when they first hit the scene, nothing special. What made Nirvana into a legandary band is Kurt died, it's that simple. Kurt died and Nirvana was suddenly this amazing great band that will go down for all time as one of the best and blah blah blah. They did their job but they aren't this amazing band they are being made out to be.

Sadly, it wouldn't shock me that by December, Heyman was off the booking and most of the ECW guys had been released.

All I know is the new series absolutely killed the Darth Vadar character for me. They made him into nothing more than a whining little boy with emotional problems. Obi Wan always sold it as Vadar turned to the Dark Arts and became this awesome power than rolled over people and lost himself. Instead he's the little puss who didn't want to think about his wife dying so he started screaming and crying alot. It's sad, Vadar became a poser tough guy. What a rip-off.

I don't see him destroying his legacy, just being the guy who is hanging around way too long and bringing nothing to the table. His promos are becoming cookie cutter and awful, beating him in a match offers nothing anymore since everyone from Goldust to Al Snow has pinned him by this point, and all he's doing is taking up tv time and making me realize how incredibly boring Foley is when he doesn't have someone to respond and react to him. His legacy is fine, it's just he's worth about as much as one of those wrestlers under a Legends Contract. Nothing.

It may not be that far fetched for the Senator to have a child who would end up a Jedi. I mean, she was a strong willed woman who fought for what she believed in (except her kids..they weren't important, it's all about Annie). As for the Pregnancy, I guess they were too busy with the Clone Wars to really pay much attention to who a Senator was banging on the side. They pretty much left it up to Obi Wan to keep track and he failed miserably.

You recycle, people bitch. You don't recycle, people bitch. Damn people need to just admit they want to bitch and save us all the 10000 news stories.

I might go down to my local video store and see if they are doing the same thing. Load up on the horror movies they have that either aren't on DVD or they are asking way too much money for the DVD version. I bought all the Rhino VHS of MST3K and I have a few VHS movies and ECW PPVS, but other than that I haven't bought a VHS since buying a used copy of "Robot Jox" about two years ago.

After that show, would you have the energy to make a sound?

Those two Wednesday matches could really show if ECW or SMACKDOWN is the AAA of the WWE. And I'm confused, why is there even a contract signing between RVD and Cena? Doesn't the Money in the Bank contract already state that RVD gets the title match whenever he wants? So when RVD said the match was to be at One Night Stand, doesn't that pretty much end the interaction? I don't recall Edge having to get it signed by Cena before the match. Course I might have been asleep when it happened.

Rob has been very hit (Rejects) or miss (House of 1000 nothingreallyhappens) so I don't know. I've pretty much accepted Hollywood wants to just remake every franchise but I don't know if Rob is the right choice for Halloween. For the early to late 70's Wes Craven movies, I think Rob is the perfect choice since he seems to know that area of horror extremely well. For some of the stuff like Halloween, I don't think it fits with Rob's directing style but he's only had two films so I might be very wrong. The only thing about Rob is I know he knows his horror and isn't going in with a, "so, who is this Michael guy? He sounds so boring. How about we make him an alien instead!" I won't go see it probably but I'll wait and see for a trailer once he has worked on it.

Sounds like they are starting to bring back some of the old WCW fans that left with the 2.1 but they still gotta find a way to grab the new fans. And that may just be next to impossible with wrestling being as cool and up to date as a Pee Wee Herman joke. If they can hold an audience and keep building on it, it's great news. I'm still in a wait and see pattern as what they do at the PPV and the next couple of weeks could make or break them in half.
-
And I'm confused why they would have a passport on them on a flight from Boston to LA or from Washington to LA. Unless I missed something, California is still in the United States.

Depends on what you mean by "this". 9/11 conspiracy stuff. These are actually some of the more tame insane theories. I've heard some REALLY insane ones lately. And they have been getting crazier and crazier. Including one that claims the government attached missile launchers to the bottom of the passenger jets and when they malfunctioned, the pilots flew the planes into the towers and make it look like terrorist.

Crazy thought, what about Taz vs Angle? I mean, Taz was his first loss in the WWE and Taz's first match in the E if I remember correctly. Seem almost fitting that Angle's first match in "ECW" would be the last match of Taz in "ECW"

Yes. A pile of monkey dicks. They were doing nothing but yap yap yap and each game they would go out, look like they weren't totally sure if scoring was needed at all in basketball and lose. They played almost like they felt they didn't need to try to get to the Finals. Like it was just owed to them or something. If I was a Pistons fan, I'd be pissed. Nothing against the Heat cause they played a fantastic series but the performance tonight in the third-fourth quarter in a do or die game was horrible.

I'd feel bad for Flip if he wasn't such a horrible playoffs coach. Actually, let me take that back, I do feel bad for him. Tonight wasn't his fault, you can't blame the coach when the star player can't make a lay-up. Or a jumper. Or three straight three pointers when the lane is wide open for a drive in for two. The Pistons just looked like a pile of monkey dong the whole series. They were giving chance after chance to score points and they couldn't do it. They just couldn't make baskets to save their lives in this series or the Cleveland series. It seemed like the offense and defense that was being set up was working, the players were just failing to execute.
-
Don't mind? That's a big positive! All I remember is while that horrible plot was going on, I turned to my girl and said, "you watch, Affleck and Garner are having sex." And sure enough, they were. That's all I remember. Is the bells scene in the church made a touch more realistic? Cause I remember I couldn't stop laughing when they were jumping from bell to bell. It looked so horrible.

Rich people gotta save money too. 7 figure income people gotta have a discount too. -
You'll probably get a "You're not Eddie" chant, unless the fans in attendance are WWE fans who happen to know ECW. I was going to buy this if they brought the price down to 30, but instead they went up and turned me the other direction. ECW PPVs were 20 bucks at the highest point for the company and no way would I have paid 30 bucks for ECW back in the day so I damn sure ain't going to pay 40 now.

Korn wasn't important for even a footnote. This word is getting thrown around to way too many bands. Korn wasn't important, they were just another generic rock band with crap lyrics and one of the worse lead singers in music history. I guess they were important to 16 yr old angry kids who liked to pretend they beat people up in school and were abused by their parents.
-
There isn't any reality where Korn ahead of Judas Priest makes one bit of sense.

I love the Directors Cut of ALIENS. I mean, before you don't know the people on the planet nor do you give a damn what happened to them really. Actually giving Newt's family some faces and voices makes you care somewhat about the annoying little girl. Not much, but a little bit. The release version is still good but the DC actually improved on it with some of the questions that were left unanswered.

6-6-06 = staged terror attack to promote war with Iran ??
2GOLD replied to a topic in Current Events
Hey, that explains why I saw so many boats out on Lake Superior this weekend. Those bastards were beginning to drain the lake! It's those people whose plane didn't hit the Pentagon. We gave them a job draining the lake for water to run our Global Bottled Water Pyramid scheme to justify going to war with Iran and soon Canada. -
NYC and DC no longer in danger of terrorist attacks.

They needed 89 million for their secruity system, they got 125 million this year. What exactly did they do with the 207 million from last year? They got a huge chunk last year, they did improvements so now the cities that were left underfunded will get additional money to sure up their defense. They needed 89 million to install their "ring of steel" defensive system and they received 125 million. That leaves them 36 million to play around with. I'm insulted about the "no icons" thing, but not by the change in funds. We cannot leave some cities with extremely high numbers while other cities flap in the wind. You gotta keep spreading it around and try to eventually make all the cities safer, not just NYC and DC even though they are two of our most important.
