-Maria brought a smile to my face. -Rey vs HBK was amazing and one of the best tribute matches I've seen -Angle vs Shelton was right up there with the Rey/HBK match -Again, Maria was fucking adorable and great. The crowd wanted her to win. That's my last thoughts on the show.

Does Andy Reid think Westbrook is completely worthless? If he thought this poorly of him, why didn't he draft a running back?
-
So it's a shoot like The Neverending Story was based on actual events?
-
I think the point he is trying to make is they tell you to do these things (roids, painkillers) to remain in the company and then when your body starts breaking, you have no options because taking time off costs you your spot and could get you fired. He's not wrong. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And let's face it... the only reason Martin is even in the business is because of his physique. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You mean his promo skills and great ring work didn't hold people?

Umm, to make things really hard for the clean up crew? That's all I got Mr. Lewis.

Liberal...conservatives. Doesn't matter, neither one is right. Life will be so much better when they both realize they both suck and don't have all the answers or even really one of the answers.

As deep as this company is, they should be totally able to allow guys off weeks at a time to heal their bodies. The company is big enough. The solution I thought of was one month RAW/SMACKDOWN belong to one group of guys, the next month it belongs to the next group. Means they work six months out of the year. Or, go six months and then switch rosters. It's not insanly pratical, but at least it gives guys time with their families and time to heal their wounds.

David Akers with a chance to make himself a kicking god. ETA: Nope.

The problem with McNabb seems like Reid is going to have to tell him to sit down. Because he is not going to sit himself. He has pyscho leader complex. Reid has to tell him to sit down. Even if they come back to win, they have to sit him.

I agree they looked like it was just another show to them, but so did Eugene and Nova. Like my friend said, maybe that is the only way they knew how to cope. It just seemed out of place. At least Eugene stole the Dean Machine to make it sorta like a tribute.
-
They need to pack him up. The guy is basically destroyed. His body is a wreck and I'd hope Koy Detmer is healthy enough to hand off and make a few key throws. Nothing against McNabb, his body is just not working with him anymore. Time to have the surgery.

Only thing that peeved me was Melina still acting like the titles give a shit tonight. I mean, it might be how she copes to stay in character but I don't see the point in working any kind of angles when no one is going to give two shits. Melina beating Trish in a battle royal on Eddie tribute night means dick. Her belt motion was a little iffy but eh, it wasn't a huge killer.

Crying over a wrestler's death is pathetic
2GOLD replied to Failed Bridge's topic in No Holds Barred
The thing is, you can be effected personally and never meet someone. It's entirely possible. And they have been watching him for what? 20 years? The guy gave his body for them, I don't see the problem with a few of em shedding a tear as a way to honor a guy who put his body through hell to entertain em. The RAW folder tonight...yeah it's had moments of psycho. But seeing people cry when they are big strong guys who shouldn't be crying can get to people. Worst day of their life? Yeah, that's crossing a fucking line. -
Well...on a few songs, they come extremely close. Also, the stupidest thing I've heard: on the next SNL, Korn will perform live.

I felt bad for his family and friends but I didn't cry. It's sad but I don't see the problem with people crying over someone they don't know personally dying. Guy could have been a role model or their favorite or hell they just don't like seeing people die young. You watch someone most of their career and yeah, you'll feel closer to them. I'm sure the people who died after the death of Kurt Cobain or Elvis weren't pathetic people. It's having emotions and it doesn't make you less of a person. Was it a little overdramatic? Yeah, but so what. -
The MVP of the Yankees for me was Kevin Brown and Carl Pavano. Thank you Carl and Kevin.

he won't be taken seriously now <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is ESPN, not Oprah's Book of the Month club. Screw-ups like the one above are minor enough to still qualify for ESPN's MENSA division. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not when you are faced with one of the high and mighty assholes. You have to be perfect otherwise he'll point out the mistake as more "ignorant wrestling fan gibberish".

Who the fuck is Colin Cowherd? I've never heard of him, at all.

Tonight is gonna be emotional. Also, no one bother with the ratings this week. They don't matter.
-
I would think that the effects of previous abuses and the car accident had more to do with it than the chairshot. Course it's not out of the realm of possiblity until we know for sure what he died of. Whatever the cause though honestly doesn't matter much to me.

Am I the only one who'd love to see Christian vs Petey Williams at the next PPV? I know the styles don't match up extremely well but there is something about that match-up that interests me more and seems like a good starting point for Christian considering his start with Team Canada.

Hoping that Chavo vs JBL is the end of the show cause it's the perfect ending.
-
If they both come out doing the hoods, that would be hilarious. And AJ cut a decent promo during Bound for Glory I felt. He has his moments.

If they did an angle where a wrestler was found unconscious in his hotel room...ok, yeah, that is bad taste no matter how you spin it. But if they do a generic injury angle, it's not even in the same ballpark. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Daniels did a big blade job, blood pouring all over ring, alot of EMTs, dramatic shot of the ambulance driving away. West and Tenay calling it a digusting act from Joe...etc. Obviously people will find anything to bitch about, it's the nature of the 'net. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bitching about that would be for the sake of bitching. The two don't even compare and TNA has to go about with their plans. I don't see anything wrong with it. I would avoid any backstage ones where they just find someone though...that's touchy.
