Both sides are funny for their own differing reasons. I will give Mike, Eric and Jobber credit for actually going over there and engaging in (ever circular) discussion with them rather than just talking about them over here, especially snuff's comical performance which evokes an image in my head of a 50's greaser with his sleeves rolled up and a switchblade in his hand going "Come on! Come on!"

No Ironman Triathalon for you!

Saw it yesterday. As a straight-up action flick it was okay, albeit it felt quite rushed. When it was over I looked at the clock and couldn't believe it had only been about 1:45 or so. As a comic book movie, the absence of any characterization struck a bad chord with me. I'd rate it as average, overall. As for the whole "not staying true to the comics" spiel, I thought we'd long moved beyond this with these comic book movies, from the little things Wolverine not having his yellow outfit and spiked mask or Cyclops not having his blue+gold outfit, or even big things like Spiderman being a mutant instead of radioactive (different movie franchise I know, but same point), but apparently five years later we still have people who like to cry "THEY'RE NOT BEING 100% FAITHFUL TO THE COMICSES!!!"

I will agree Dragonforce is not that great, though I don't agree with your standard rag on Rhapsody and Strato, but that's for another time. As for the English band question, I would cite the three kings of 90's English doom metal: Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride (probably my two favorite bands ever) and Anathema (who were really good before falling off the wagon with Judgement and gradually worsening subsequent releases)

Not really sure how Slapnuts fits into that. Not to say he doesn't have his own unintentionally comedic history, but that isn't one of the items that comes to mind for me. I got the inspiration for all that IEWM stuff from Jim Rome, who over the last several years has gotten terrible when it comes to that sort of thing. I'll be listening along, laughing at the callers and e-mails (the main reason I listen in the first place) then someone chimes in with something mildly offensive (or some athlete/celeb says something) and onto his high horse he jumps! It's so bad, I change the channel until he finishes
