Isn't that the way of the government though?
Try to call them out on something and they're still convinced what they're doing is the "right thing" for us
The War on Indecency is bullshit
I think supporting at most one other team is acceptable, so long as it's not a big division or "classic" rival
My initial NFL and MLB teams are the Vikings and Reds, but Frigidsoul's Massachusettsian influence got me to adopt the Sox and Pats as my other teams back around '99.
Starting pitchers have won it in past sweep WS, but those were all teams with three-man rotations (discounting the anomaly of the '89 WS)
The only pitcher to win in a sweep in the last decade was a reliever (Rivera)
Koufax ('63, '65) and Gibson ('64, '67)
And while I like Schilling, I'd have a hard time giving the MVP award to a pitcher who only pitched one (phenomenal even) game. Every pitcher who has won WS MVP pitched at least two games (unless I find a counterexample after I make this post)
EDIT: I was right
To pose the question from earlier, if it's over tonight, who is MVP?
Only candidate I can see is Manny (.462, 6H, 4RBI)
Maybe Foulke if you want to entertain that argument (4IP, 2.25, 7K, Game 1 win)
You can swim in this game? Falling into water is no longer automatic death?
Sweet
Unfortunately I don't have a PS2 so I'll have to wait for the PC release
Hey, the Yankees supernatural squad already had their shot and lost.
Time to let the Cardinals ghosts take a shot at it... maybe Musial has something for them
"But he's not dead!"
...well... good luck then
If Boston wins the WS, does that mean they can start chanting "2000" to the Yankees?
The rhythm would be all off.
Two thou-sand
Three syllables, not hard. It would go to the same rhythm as "You fucked up!" or "You sold out!"
And as for the anti-climacticness, I don't really care
It would just be fitting that the Sox won the WS by beating the two best teams of in MLB this year, as well as the two franchises which historically gave the Sox so much trouble
