I think that there was only one series that went 7 where the team that was down 3-2 won. Not too hard to connect the dots.

The 2002 WCF was either officiated by the worst refs ever, or they were told to look the other way. I really don't think that they were "following orders", just that the refs were bad and then got caught up in the game, but I would not be SHOCKED if it was proven that the fix was in on that game.

I'm going with Six Feet Under. One of the best written and acted series that I can think of, and particularly well directed too. I always felt this was the most underrated/appreciated shows. The character development throughout was fantastic and the last season (particularly the series finale) was as good as a tv show can be. The series finale fit the show better than any other ending episode I can think of.

The Phils listened to you!

Yeah, I agree with Milky. I managed to without much thought come up with a list of 120 shows, with minimal cartoons (only ones that I still like). I was surprised that I came up with that many shows actually.

Arli$$ didn't crack my top 14,382. But, if this draft goes to 14,383 picks, I'm all over it.

I don't really know what more they could have done either to show he died, short of showing his body exploding into pieces. Again, they had him get to the deck of the boat for dramatic purposes, IMO.

This was a tougher pick for me. Most of the shows I had hoped would come back around to me were snatched up. (note, Friends was not one of these, as I am lacking a vagina ) Anywho, from a tv sitcom standpoint, Scrubs still stands out to me. I might not watch a few episodes from the last couple of seasons no matter how bored I am on the Isle of Dubya, but the first several seasons were just too good. Plus I know that they hold up as I have already been watching them repeatedly on Comedy Central for the past year or two. Scrubs also is one of the few shows I can think of that remains funny, but also can be emotionally draining at the same time. The episode "My Screw Up" particularly comes to mind and IMO is the best example of a comedy show doing a serious episode this side of Arnold and Dudley almost getting molested.

SNL is a solid pick. You've got over 600 episodes, plus a ton of music too, so that's a bonus.

I figured a lot of shows that I had near the top would go quickly so I only did a quick listing not worrying about the order. The five at the top are gone already though.

I was hoping Married would make it's way back to me. Loved that show growing up.

Yeah, you gotta get on finishing the series. If I had the number one overall pick, I would really have had a tough choice between Cheers, The Simpsons and the Wire. The Wire was my favorite show overall, but commedies seem to be much more rewatchable. Didn't matter since I knew Simpons and Cheers would be gone. I was surprised the Wire lasted actually.

I'm in the Jin is dead camp. I think that the reason why he made it to the deck of the boat was to make the helicopter take off with Sun more dramatic for both the audience and Sun. The writers needed to give every reason for her to appear angry about Jin's death, and him dying on the deck trying to get to the helicopter with her seeing him while taking off would certainly provide this better than Jin staying next to the bomb and Sun never seeing him again.

Well, since my top four commedies have all been snatched up, I'm going with my number 1 drama. Really, this is IMO the best show that I've ever seen. Each character is so well developed that I could see myself enjoying it over and over again. The show seems like it will hold up well over time and is one that I would definitely need to have on my island.

That person needs to evaluate their life.

Eh, I knew Cheers wouldn't make it to me, but that would've been my number one overall. Great show and long enough run to keep you entertained for a long time. The Kevin McHale Episodes are still my favorites. My only disagreement with you would be getting funnier with each new actor plugged in. The Coach episodes were the best of the show (Woody was funny, but Coach just killed).

Any rules on if it has to be prime time shows? Do non-prime time cartoons count?

I'm in for this one.

It's an obvious move, but teams are now walking Utley to get to Howard for the Phillies. After the last few years I didn't expect it to come to that so quickly.

Nice show of heart there by Pittsburgh.

The Inside the NBA guys are saying the Barry should have flopped. They just said he didn't sell the flop enough. Nice work fellas. And then Chuck let loose with my biggest pet peeve "if the ref made that call they would have decided the game". FTN. By not making a call and not letting the Spurs get a shot off they decide the game just as much.
-
No way did he fake that one. Plus, you always get the call if the defender leaves his feet. Always.
-
Really, only the NBA could have a critical game officiated by a guy who less than a year ago was suspended for kicking one of the team's super stars out for no reason. WTF. Terrible no call there at the end.

I'm still haunted by the Sixers drafting Shawn Bradley number 2. Spurs somehow managed to get a chance here for the tie or win. They really don't deserve one for how sloppy they've played in this game.

Seems that the Rockies are going to sacrifice Taveris and his ERA tonight. They need him to fight his way through the game after last night. The Phillies need the rain to hold off at the stadium. Everything else is going right for them over these last few games.
