Meh, he's not really a hippie. He's what we used to call a "hempie". We deemed anyone who went to Phish shows in a $40,000 car their parents bought them to be this. That's what he reminds me of.

... ... ... I thought that the guy's version of "Hello" was really good tonight and the other guy's version of "Hallejuah" was good by Idol standards. As you can see, I haven't bothered to learn any names yet.

That really was a stand out episode, so at least they picked a good one to nominate. The roof top scene with Stringer and Avon is one of my favorites.

Yeah, this show deserved all of the Sopranos awards for the past few years. And I say that as someone who watched and enjoyed every episode of the Sopranos.

Did they say that? I was all geared up to watch tonight too.

I took the wife to see this Friday night. It was surprisingly good to me. Portman was really good in her role.

They might not have said that exactly, but they definitely mentioned that Hanso had originally owned the manuscript.

Who knows with this show, anything is possible. I think that the ship will end up being Penny's father's boat. There was a reason why they had him purchase the book from the Black Rock, and I'm guessing that he sent the boat out there looking for the ship.

Well, "2001" disagrees with you Eric.

I was worried at the end that they were going to do something stupid like having Sayid say "I'm sorry" then shoot Desmond. The Desmond character is just fantastic. My only problem is that the whole Desmond story was kind of a rip off of Slaughterhouse Five. But I do agree it was an amazing episode.

She's also not as hot as she thinks. Clearly she's dirty hot, but she's not hot enough to coast by on her looks, IMO.

The way they left it with Bunk, I was pretty sure they meant to imply that he was molested. That's the way I took it at least. SFU's ending only worked for that show, but it was appropriate for that. I wouldn't want to see that for any other show. The Wire really needs to be kind of open in its ending, as it's not like magically all of B-More's problems are going away.

I still maintain that the finale of Six Feet Under was as close to perfection for a show as you can get. Hopefully the Wire gets something that lives up to the rest of the series.

Kind of spoilerish...

She might be the worst person to ever appear on this stuff. And that's saying a lot.

Not getting into this specific episode, but I think the reporter is going down, clearly. McNulty may too, but the reporter almost has too.

Well, it is Saliva. What's the word on MGMT? My friend has been pimping them as I think her cousin is somehow involved, but I just can't get into them at all.

Homer: Well, crying won't bring him back, unless your tears smell like dog food. So you can either sit here crying and eating can after can of dog food until your tears smell enough like dog food to make your dog come back, or you can get out there and find your dog! Bart: You're right! I'll do it! (runs out) Homer: Rats! I almost had him eating dog food.

You know, the one thing I really liked about this episode was that when Ben rattled off all the info on the girl, they then had him explain where he knew all of it from. In the past they would have made that a 10 episode mystery, then another 10 episodes of trying to figure out who is on the boat. This flowed much better.

Well, that will make it work with the commercial breaks at least.... Just watched the Season 2 finale. Thought that the Season picked up a lot of steam halfway through and really took off. The one open point that could potentially come back was what Lila did with Dexter's tools. I thought it was a good scene where she realized that he was planning on killing her that night, but then they never showed her disposing of the tools.

I don't trust any team that relies on the three this much.

There's so much going on already, I'd rather not see Namond or Colvin again. It's not unrealistic for things to work out for some people. I'm fine leaving that as is.

My dislike for Sandler is much greater than my like of Apatow movies.
