I think the 4 #1 seeds are St. Joe's, Stanford, Miss St. & Duke. Gonzaga just doesn't have enough quality wins in my book to be a one seed. I agree though that it is more of an honor than an advantage. 16, 8 & 4 aren't that much easier than 15, 7 & 3. I think that these small conference play-in games are stupid. If a conference isn't going to get an at large bid, why would they run the possibility of their best team getting upset and losing a shot at the tourney.

The Mule is the best thing going right now in music and put on one hell of a good show. With Warren in the Dead now, I think that they'll bring it too. Leftover Salmon is a very fun live act. I've seen them a couple of times and really had a blast. "Wake and Bake" & "Pasta on the Mountain" are two of my favorite live songs.

I gotta go with Kanye West "through the wire". I know that it's getting overplayed and I'll eventually get sick of it and there's probably already a backlash about, but damn, it's catchy, so let me enjoy it.

Has Gavin Floyd thrown yet? Is he even at ST?

I stayed up for around 55 hours straight back when I was in college. My mind was playing tricks on me by the end. Let's just say that it was an assisted period of staying awake and leave it at that.

I'd say TO is a distant third to Moss & Harrison. Besides the obvious headcase issues, Owens hands just aren't that great.

I know that London is popular here, but to the average fan I think he's a nobody. I've never really heard him get much reaction. I would drop one of Tajiri's henchmen for a surprise entry though. 10 seems like the right amount of participants to me. You don't want the match to get all clusterfucky.

I don't think that Gonzaga will get a #1 seed unless Duke loses again & it would need to be early in the ACC. The selection group hasn't given Gonzaga a good seed in any of the past few years and seems to knock them down a couple of spots for no good reason.

I haven't heard much about Emmons. Is there any chance of bringing him back at LB? I thought that he did a really good job last year. I'd be alright with giving up a 1st rounder for McCarins if they can't trade up for one of the big 3 WRs coming out in the draft. McCarrins will be better than who they could get with their pick.

Why won't RVD be in this version? They have Scott Steiner, so I'd assume they could have RVD too.

This year I wouldn't really be surprised by anyone with a 12 or better seed making the sweet 16. It's really wide-open. Right now I'm leaning towards taking Stanford to finish the year undefeated. They haven't been tested too much, but have look strong the whole way. My early sleeper pick for the 16 is Mizzou, assuming they make it in. If they do, they'll have continued their hot streak and I'd look for them to ride it a little ways in the tourney.

I actually think that McMullen has a chance to be an above average receiver. But I'd still make the deal. This window has been open for a long time for the Eagles, it can't stay open forever.

There's been a lot of talk here this morning that the Eagles are close to trading for TO. A second round pick is what they said it would take. San Fran really wants to dump Owens as soon as possible apparantly. Baltimore is also in the running.

I think that Georgia Tech has a good chance to go far into the NCAAs. They're a very athletic team, and well, if you can beat Duke in Cameron, you can beat anyone anywhere. I think Duke will still be a 1 seed if they beat UNC and then make the ACC finals.

So, is Duke still a lock for a 1 seed, or do you think that they'll need to go deep into the ACC tournament?

7.5 sacks from your DE's is even more pitiful than I thought it would be. Kearse was the best UFA end available, so, I'm happy with todays events.

Eh, Kearse started 14 games last year. They'll be a physical before anything is official of course, but I've heard that he is very close to 100%.

The Eagles may have been 9th in sacks, but they did not consistently get pressure on the QB. A lot of their sacks come from the blitzing scemes that Johnson has the Defense run, which they will have to limit in the upcoming years without a shutdown cornerback. The Defensive ends were completely worthless last year. Assuming they go out and get a good WR, this is a great signing.
