  1. You could probably have a lot of fun at a strip club with 500,000 dollars. I think that it's time to start following this guy around. Hopefully he hasn't learn to not keep money in his car.
  2. One of the morning radio shows here in Philly this morning played clips of the Dean speech. Then they followed by saying they had some more of his speeches to play as well. They then played clips of the Raw where Vinnie Mac had Trish take off her top and crawl like a dog. It was the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. A caller compared the Dean speech to Farley's Kill Whitey speech in Tommy Boy too. Good times.
  3. Sorry to hog the posting, but I have something else to say about gay marriages. I don't think that it is an issue that should be decided by the federal government. I feel that these kind of issues should be decided on a state by state basis.
  4. I'd really like to hear this. I see no reason at all for banning gay marriages and would not be convinced because somewhere it says that "marriage" is between a man and a woman. I know what it says, but I want someone to give me a good reason as to why. I have a problem with all the mentions of religion in the state of the union address. It seems to me that this country is intent on giving everyone the freedom of religion, except for those people who chose not to have any religion in their lives.
  5. Haven't seen his new show yet. He used to be funny on Talk Soup though.
  6. So, do the wrestlers in this series have they're Eighties movesets? If so, wouldn't you only need one button? Also, is that Rick Martel in some of the screen shot?
  7. In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem. If no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire, The A Team. That's all I have to say about this one.
  8. I watched this again last night, and my one buddy told me that in the Jap. version they explain more about how the tape was made. Did anyone see the original, and if so, could you please elaborate on how the girl made a tape from the well or whatever happened. Thanks in advance.
  9. I think that the Eagles will win, and that it won't even be close. This one will make up for last year.
  10. As always some people go way overboard. I hate that people think these celeberties speak for the majority of the liberal side. The Al Franken comment was funny though. Who is Margaret Cho anyways, and when is the last time that Chuck D was relevant?
  11. Green Bay was never going for it on that play. They went out there to try and draw the Eagles offsides. Then when that didn't work, they took the delay on purpose to give their punter an extra five yards to try and pin the Eagles deep (which also didn't work). I'm a life long Eagles fan and have seen all the disappointments, and I was beyond happy when G.B. punted. I honestly thought the game was over, because I assumed that there was no way they'd punt, and that there was no way our tired D would hold them. I just still can't believe that game. I get chills thinking about it.
  12. Eagles will take it to Carolina on Sunday. There's no way that Delhomme will outplay Donovan. Plus, the Eagles just find a way to win every week. This will be no different. In the game to decide who gets slaughtered in the Super Bowl, I like Indy in the upset. The way that offense is playing right now it'll be hard to stop. No matter what defense Denver or K.C. threw at them, Indy moved the ball at will. Manning is just in the zone and making every throw count right now. So, I look at an Eagles/Colts Superbowl and then a parade up Broad St.
  13. The last iffy-call win that the Pats had was the Tuck Rule game in the Snow two years ago. And even that one was the correct call, as the rule had been written. It's not like they went 14-2 b/c of bullshit calls ... plus, it happened against the Raiders, who have a longer history of winning with questionable calls than anyone else. (Immaculate Reception, Fumblerooski, etc.) So, maybe that one was just a bit of karma. The immaculate reception was the Steelers. I always thought that the Raiders got jobbed a lot by the refs. By the way, I call dibs on digging the grave for Carolina. They're not long for this playoff world.
  14. I saw Big Fish Friday night and thought it was wonderful. It was a great story and told the right way. As a side, I don't like when people clap at the end of movies either. There was scattered applause at the end of Big Fish and it just feels weird to me.
  15. Caddyshack is quoted every single time I set foot on a golf course. And a lot of other miscellaneous times.
  16. Yeah, but do you consider Marino a better QB than Montana or Elway or even Farve? I don't because even though he owns all those passing records, he never won the Superbowl, which in my mind he needed to do to be considered in the same class as those guys.
  17. I agree with everything that's been recommended so far as they are excellent places to start. For a couple of different recommendations.... Tower of Power Dave Brubeck And to the guy who recommend Al Di Meola, you have to check out Friday Night in San Francisco. It's Al, John McLaughlin and Paco Delucia playing a live acoustic show. Just the three of them. They play acoustics with more speed and precision than most can master on an electric guitar.
  18. Sweet, I'm Mr. Brownstone: You like to do loads of heroin and pass out under bridges. Prostitutes are your favorite kind of women.
  19. I swear I must be watching a different show -- I think more times than not Colmes gets the upper hand of many of those arguments. Problem is he's a liberal and many people watching the show will consider Hannity the winner no matter what... Maybe it's just that different people have different opinions, but I watch and feel like there is always more for Colmes to say. He seems to get cut off a lot to me, or just agree. I think a lot of my problems stem from the feeling that it would be better to have someone who is far to the left on with a person who is so far to the right.

    20 worst ref calls

At the beginning he says it's from Stuff of 2000. Edit: Already pointed out twice I see. I'm a little slow today.

    Who's greater

I think that it's really hard to say who is greater, since they have such differing styles. They both were incredibly influential to their respective genres as well. On a side note, it kind of annoys me that people are calling Cash a fad and what not because he achieved late success in life for covering NIN. That really belittles what he accomplished in his younger years. For much of the late sixties/early seventies he was one of the most popular/influential mainstream musical performers. There were an absolut ton of Cash fans before his recent resurgence. He just reached a new generation of fans with his recent releases.

    20 worst ref calls

As happy as it made me, the Giants really got screwed on the refs. waiving off the pass interference penalty at the end of their playoff game last year. I think the league appologized for that one.
  23. I don't like Hannity at all and think that he uses very cheap tactics while debating, but I do think he's a smart guy. I think that Colmes is definitely outmatched on their show, which I'm thinking was a plan all along. Fox can say that they're fair and balanced because they have both sides, but to me they have a very smart, very conservative person in Hannity and a less intelligent, more moderate liberal person in Colmes.
  24. I agree. This may not be the most liberal point of view, but these people are coming to our country, so fuck em. If they have a problem with it, stay the hell out. If I'm flying to England or Germany, and they want to fingerprint me when I get there, that's fine with me. I know ahead of time and if I have a fit about it, I can just not go.
  25. I think that I read this differently then the rest of you. I took this to mean that they were sorry for hitting the wrong people. They intended to attack American soldiers and thus were not appologizing for the bombing, but rather for not hitting their target. Either way their assholes. And who is the guy who's appologizing. If he's making statements, why doesn't someone just off the fucker.
