whoops, double post.

Way to be your usual rational self. Abyss is an OK big man, I didn't say he sucks, but Joe is worlds, no, solar systems better. When Joe-Styles comes out on tape, from all accounts, it was an MoTYC that will surely blow away Styles-Abyss. Styles-Abyss wasn't bad, but it was way overrated by fanboys here that think anything above shit is great. The fact that Abyss is a decent big man is irrelevent however, when there are better big men that will do the job better for the same price. Why settle for "ok" when you can have great?

It's a new year, so what can be done on 1/7 to get the year off to a real good start? Well, first of all, the odds are that they're going to book Sting-Jarrett for the title along with Ultimate X. We'll also finally get to see CM Punk get some mike time, which should be great if he lights up that crowd of worthless alcoholics. The show looks promising. However, what can be done to reverse the current path of boredome on the show? Ever since the 1 cent show, things have been going downhill, they should take these 2 weeks to stop the bleeding. * Give CM Punk a microphone and 10 minutes and let him become the biggest draw TNA has. The crowd will be ready to riot by the time he's done. A long, drawn out feud with turns, bloody matches, and the eventual win for Raven to get his blowoff with JJ will DRAW. * Get the title off of Shane now. Put the title on Chris Daniels, who already has an issue with Low Ki. With Sabin, Skipper, Ki, Daniels, and Shane all intertwined, we could have some great matches. * Let AJ and Dlo chase after the tag titles. Everybody is sick of the damn AMW chase, and god knows Styles won't be getting the title. * Bring in some guys while cutting loose some others. Guys like Samoa Joe and Chris Hero would get way over in a hurry, and so would Colt Cabana. Why does Abyss have a job while Joe doesn't? * How about we get a babyface commisioner who wasn't a jobber on WCW Worldwide? Erik Watts is a JOKE. Get this clown off the screen. Hire Steamboat or something. Hell, do we NEED commisioners? Can't they be different than WWE and have wrestlers handling things themselves? Have pre-set matches made by the board of directors, and grudge matches can be made through challenges. * One last thing. We need to have circumstances on the show, once every 2 or 3 weeks where a big match is made at the beginning of the show in some kind of interview and then HAPPENS on the same show. There HAS to be some sort of unpredictability. If fans think something big might happen, they will buy the show even if the preview looks lame. As it is now, I only buy shows if the preview looks great.

I think its funny that you can brag about TNA's 1000 live fans when it's a FACT that 75% are comped nearly EVERY WEEK. It's a miracle anyone buys tickets with that comp rate. The buyrates have not been going up at all lately either, not that facts matter, or anything.

They don't want B-Boy for a number of reasons that I can tell. 1) He will come across as CZW talent being used on an RoH show, much like the Backseat Boys did for a while. Gabe likes bringing in great (relatively) unknown workers. 2) The flyout cost is not worth it. 3) Him and Low Ki in the same promotion will take away some of the Ki novelty. And if you think Ki is done forever with RoH, you're nuts.

Oh man.... Classic Atheletes? The Red Shirt Security? And what if I don't like seeing wrestlers that can have better regular matches being shoved into circus acts? A regular 4-way with 20 minutes would be better than a rope-climbing contest, why not just have the regular match? The TWO BEST TAG TEAMS IN THE WORLD? Are you on drugs? Or do you see nothing other than TNA and WWE? Half of the teams entered in the PWG tourney in January are better than any team in TNA. And the Styles comment is wrong. He's not better than Paul London. Not that London is really on SD, anyways. The irony of this point is that Chris Daniels is better than AJ Styles, you should be making the point using Daniels. By the way, what makes JJ a solid main event champ? The groan every time he wins? His lack of any good matches since his match with Raven? His midcard-for-life stigma that will never go away? I refuse to appreciate a product just because it's better than shit (Raw). TNA is like dry dog shit to the WWE's wet dog shit. And once again, you have to pay 10 bucks a show, so it SHOULD be way better than Raw. TNA could be so, so much more. They have access to every Indy wrestler in the U.S. that would love to get on nat'l TV. How can the show *not* be great? TNA last night was a decent show. Decent is not good enough when you're paying. If every week was like last night, I would not pay 10 bucks for it.

Yes, I expect 20 fucking minutes when I PAY TEN BUCKS FOR THE SHOW. Obviously you and the TNA bookers share mutual cluelessness when it comes to this fact. People are paying for these shows. if TNA is the alternative, shouldn't they be giving out long matches between great workers to highlight their strengths? I mean, this is fucking ridiculous. They worked a story built for a 20 minute match and squished it into 7, resulting in a mediocre match. Ki and Shane was alright, but hey, it's fucking Michael Shane. I bought the show tonight, and I was just left scratching my head in the end. A bunch of wierd-ass booking that was obviously thought up that afternoon just so they could throw together an Ultimate X match, which is, by the way, a horrible waste of the talent of Ki, Sabin, and Daniels. I enjoyed Simon/Swinger vs. D-Lo/AJ, it was a good match, but the overbooking of this show killed me. I've seen multiple episodes of Mantell's IWA, and it was very clear that he is attempting to turn TNA into it...lots of factions, chaotic booking, etc...it could work. The trainwreck=excitement theory can work, but things need to make sense...tonight, it seemed like nothing made sense. For weeks, we have been waiting for developments...ANY developments...and then he goes ahead and has all sorts of crazy shit in one night. Positive: The CM Punk turn. Now he needs to turn on Julio next week and rip on the hicks of Nashville for throwing their lives away.

Hooray for Tajiri vs. london on velocity.
-
When was the last good Bob Holly match? The good news is this means No Way Out in my backyard may have Lesnar-Benoit.
-
The whole entire show was based around the return of a legend to the ring. The announcers talked about it EVERY TWO MINUTES. Clearly, it didn't result in a lot of viewers. And somehow I don't think Orton-Foley at WM will even be close to ****....maybe **1/2 if Foley has his "A" game.
-
Haha, true, Slugger really sucks. To Dave: Xavier/Walters is the most likely screwy finish, due to the status of Xavier in the Prophecy, the whole Lucy thing, etc.
-
Why would they have it produce screwy finishes if the entire goal is to have athletic contests with clean finishes? This accomplishes a few things: 1) Makes reversal sequences logical, because by reversing instead of grabbing the ropes, you save yourself a break. 2) Discourages punching, making the matches purely technical. 3) Keeps the action in the ring with the 20 count.

wrestling-wise better, not as good storyline-wise.
-
Briscoes were a team since march. The fact that AMW sucked sick on a national scale doesn't make them any better. HOW CAN YOU BE TEAM OF THE YEAR IF YOU CAN'T EVEN WORK A HOT TAG???
-
With Jericho turning face, doesn't this seem like the likely route? Other than Austin, Foley, or Rock, who could realistically main event Wm with HHH other than Jericho?
-
That's the only one you're confused about? Tag team of the year going to AMW is a damn joke. The Briscoes have had FAR better matches, AJ and Red were better, the Backseats were better, X Foundation was better, AXP was better, Havana Pitbulls were better, Daniels and Maff were better, WGTT were better.........???
-
How is it an act of stupidity to bitch about something you don't enjoy? That's pretty much what messageboards are made for, to express content or discontent. I love wrestling too, and if TNA was really an alternative I'd buy it, but it's not.

Beating The Odds! Please leave feedback. Agree? Disagree? Hate me?
-
I agree with Besus, hell, we all knew that the show was going to suck, look at the lineup for Christ's sakes. It's baffling that people still pay for this shit, and even more baffling that people who know it sucks still pay for it.
-
It would be cool in a horsemen way if ANY OF THEM COULD WORK A DECENT MATCH.
-
I was sitting next to ASSHOLES....that IDIOT who was at least 50 lbs overweight mocking body size of wrestlers, and the guy who ruined Joe vs. Whitmer. I used to think SD was overrated too OSICON, but man after you see his FANTASTIC performances on *every* pwg show....you'll feel the love too.
-
As it was just shown, he was hiding in a small hole deep underground.
-
Guess that's personal taste, I found Xavier-London from FB 2002 far better than the streetfight.
-
Sorry, should have said "disappointing match." It wasn't bad.
-
He doesn't have **** matches a lot or anything, but his match with walters was supposedly quite good, and he has been having solid **-*** matches all year long without facing any of the big stars. His matches with London were a HELL of a lot better than Sabin's was on TNA. BTW, I agree with you that they are misusing him. Either commit to him or not, because there are plenty of other indy guys that could use that slot.
