  1. Fear Havoc, I like your sig, but I'm still under the impression that the entire debacle is/was a work, judging from how quickly Edge and Lita "broke up" after the thing went down. But it's still awesome. I'd enjoy it more if I saw the thing in a different light. I hate Matt Young but his avatar is boss. I'm proud to not have not entered the Civil War flavor of the 3 months.
  2. There's nothing really ironic about the post. I've just had a similar discussion over the past week since seeing the promo and thought I'd post it. If he goes crazy and gores like 17 people tonight, good for him, I don't read the spoilers. But if he ends up helping Team Canada win, that's bad for business, IMO, as they need to go on their own already and end another of TNA's millions of WCW ripoff angles/stables. However, having just looked at tonight's IMPACT thread, I do see that everyone seems to be talking about Rhyno and some interview tonight. Which is why this thread is totally different...I in no way think Rhino TALKING is a good idea. TNA does, however, but TNA booking sucks.
  3. I always wanted to see a Face Razor Vs. Face Bret mid-90's PPV bout. With Razor going over to put him as a main eventer.
  4. CHIKARA presents The Crushing Weight of Mainstream Ignorance - Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the American Legion Hall - 935 Main St. in Hellertown, PA ********************************** Mask Vs. Hair Match "A Wrestling Riddle Wrapped in an Enigma" JIGSAW Vs. "The Winged Ring Warrior" ICARUS (rep. The Kings of Wrestling) June 23rd - Team F.I.S.T. costs Jigsaw & Shane Storm a bout with the Thomaselli Brothers. Storm & Jigsaw then cost Team F.I.S.T. a bout against The Colony June 24th - Storm & Jigsaw defeat Team F.I.S.T. when the referee stops the match due to CHIKARA's "Excesivo de Castigo" rule, where F.I.S.T. continued to brutalize Jigsaw despite being able to gain a pinfall and chose not to. June 25th - New Alhambra Arena - An amazing bout between Team F.I.S.T. & Claudio Castagnoli against Jigsaw, Storm, and Mike Quackenbush is stopped when Icarus rips off Jigsaw's mask in a disgusting move. CHIKARA Comissioner Bob Saget appears on the video screen, booking a Hair Vs. Mask bout for July 22nd! *********************************** First Time Ever! CZW World Champion & 1/2 of CHIKARA's Campeones de Parejas CHRIS HERO Vs. "The Unionized Traffic Regulator" SHANE STORM June 23rd-25th - Shane Storm has fought against Hero's "Kings of Wresting" teammates in Claudio Castagnoli, Gran Akuma, and Icarus. With his partner Jigsaw attempting to shave the head of Icarus, Storm can set the KOW a tremendous setback by defeating Hero, who is on a tremendous winning streak- having beat Brandon Thomaselli on June 25th, reigning with Claudio as Campeones de Parejas, and becoming new CZW World Champion. Storm's in tremendous shape and could very well knock off an overconfident Hero, in my opinion. ************************************ Re-Match! "THE KING OF DIAMONDS" EDDIE KINGSTON Vs. 15-Time ICW/ICWA Tex-Arkana Television Champion "SWEET & SOUR" LARRY SWEENEY June 24th - Eddie Kingstons comes out before the main event to tell the crowd how he & Sweeney grew up in wrestling together as great friends, and how Sweeney turned on him and tried to take out his eye. June 25th - Sweeney is disqualified during a heated bout at the New Alhambra, retaining his title in the process. This settled nothing and only fueled Kingston's rage. ************************************* Confusion Guaranteed! "A TIME DISPLACED NOBLE KNIGHT" LANCE STEEL Vs. "A TIME DISPLACED NOBLE KNIGHT" LANCE STEEL June 23rd: Lance Steel and...Lance Steel, one man, two time-displaced incarnations, finally EXPLODED during Night One of the Young Lion's Cup Tournament. With the armor off, the two traded blows, finally deciding CHIKARA was not big enough for the...one...of them? They, er, he was noticeably absent from Night 2 and Night 3, but will return on July 22nd for a match that will finally see the epic showdown...and confuse many. ************************************** Young Lion's Cup Defense! Fresh off a spectacular tournament, and an amazing final against Cheech, YOUNG LION'S CUP CHAMPION "THE ANARCHIST" ARIK CANNON will defend his championship! ************************************** ~ONE-ON-ONE~ "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush vs. Gran Akuma [1 fall, 30 Minute Time Limit] ~YOUNG LIONS CUP MATCH~ Arik Cannon vs. Jon Moxley [1 fall, 60 Minute Time Limit] ~SINGLES ACTION~ Equinox vs. Claudio Castagnoli [1 fall, 30 Minute Time Limit] ~MASKS & BUGS GALORE!~ Fire Ant & Soldier Ant vs. UltraMantis Black & Hydra [1 fall, 30 Minute Time Limit] ~TAG WARFARE~ Darin Corbin & Ryan Cruz vs. Cheech & Cloudy [1 fall, 30 Minute Time Limit] _______________________________________________________________________________ COMBAT ZONE WRESTLING presents Ultraviolent Tournament of Death V - Saturday, July 29, 2006 at LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED July 19th - in Smyrna, DE ******************************** First Round Match "THE ULTRAVIOLENT ICON" Zandig Vs. DJ HYDE Vs. DANNY HAVOC Havoc has won over the fans with recent performances against JC Bailey and Hyde, and a great bout with Arik Cannon in CHIKARA. Zandig's troubles with BLKOUT and the Canadian group who recently cut off his hair may have him unfocused? Could we see an upset? DJ Hyde thinks so, and he's been steamrolling everyone in his way as of late to prove his point. HYDE Vs. HAVOC will finally come to a head, and one of them may not make it out alive! It's the return of the Ultraviolent Icon to TOD...and the continuation of a rivalry that has literally torn the CZW Arena apart! ******************************** Also Participating: THE NECRO BUTCHER BRAIN DAMAGE "THE FUTURE OF HARDCORE" NICK GAGE J.C. 5. TNA has completely dropped the ball with Rhyno. Last week, he delivered an AMAZING backstage promo, with inclusion of his "shoot" at the ECW Arena. But it was the psychotic look on his face, the crazy eyes, and screaming rage which hadn't been seen since 2001 that got me most interested. And immediately afterwards he should have come out, had a squash, and piledrove someone through a table. Instead. Monty Brown, who both the live fans and internet now hate, came out, worked a shitty squash, looked fat, and did nothing of note. Now, TNA has Rhyno once again lumped in with Team Canada on tonight's Impact!, playing BIG TOUGH BABYFACE. Christ, when will TNA (and WWE) learn? RHYNO ONLY WORKS AS A PSYCHOTIC HEEL. No disrespect to Rhyno, perhaps he doesn't "only" work in that way, but he sure as hell works BEST that way. _______ If TNA wants a heel for the live crowds and internet to adore, they must: 1) Get Monty Brown off TV temporarily. 2) Turn Rhyno heel, attacking someone's girlfriend or someone's vulnerable friend/valet/manager during a special moment. Get the ECW memories back. 3) Have Rhyno, speaking little IF AT ALL, demolish opponents, goring them through tables and piledriving through tables. 4) Eventually build to Rhyno Vs. Joe. THAT will draw money. The old Rhyno would never team up with Jay Lethal, I'm sorry. Lethal's a fantastic worker, but Rhyno's character only associates with scumbags (Corino/Victory/Cyrus, Edge/Christian) or those who doesn't have tp argue with because he can't understand them (Tajiri), IMO. Rhyno's an awesome talent that's been totally ruined and turned into "mid-card babyface #19" in TNA. Fix this NOW, TNA, before it's too late. Want further proof? When did Rhyno's heat in WWE die? When he teamed up with CHRIS BENOIT of all people. Was it because Rhyno sucked? No, he worked good matches and bumped well. Was it because Benoit sucked? Good god no. Was it because their opponents sucked? Yeah right, The World's Greatest Tag Team, Eddie & Chavo Guerrero, and Palumbo & Nunzio were very capable opponents. Yes, even the FBI, who at that time were booked stronger, getting PPV wins and working with Undertaker. So what was the problem? Booking Rhyno as a babyface with feelings who cared about the fans. You can put the guy in there with Benoit, Eddie, Shelton, AND IT WON'T MATTER. GIVE THEM PPV TIME? DOESN'T MATTER. HE NEEDS TO BE A HEEL. FIX IT, TNA!
  6. Hogan submitted cleanly to Luger's Torture Rack in August 1997 when he lost the WCW World Title on Nitro.
  7. The game should only be played in the absolute dark in your room with the lights off.
  8. So I guess WORLD CHAMPION Jeff Jarrett gets the night off oh, the PAY PER VIEW.
  9. I used to rush home in 2002 to catch Raw after work. And it wasn't very good then. Seriously, this has been the worst year ever in WWE history. Ever. I know Smackdown! has produced a couple good matches, nothing great, every year in WWE history has produced at least a few excellent matches, IMO. This year hasn't. It's the most fan insulting, talentless, dissapointing year ever, with poor PPV payoffs, cornball humor, and shitty workers. This is the last Raw for me for a while, probably until the generally pretty decent December to January period. I'll give Smackdown! one or two more tries. Hendricks, Umaga is awful but has gained 'net support for being so stupid he's cool on a ship full of scurvy.
  10. "Yeah, I know I look a little like Napolean Dynamite which is a cool little coincidence." You do know that he's an ugly, awkward, oddball...don't you?
  11. Michaels putting the net on Triple H caused me to laugh.
  12. Ric Flair is wrestling on ECW? Jesus Christ.
  13. As if the level of suck couldn't get worse.
  14. For anyone that watched all of this show: Ryan Howard was against the wall about to be eliminated in the first and second rounds and came up big time with the gold money balls. He then beat Wright in the finals easily, and with his winning home run hit the "500 Free Flights" sign. Awesome.
  15. Who is the new inferior ring announcer?
  16. At least they used my much wanted & appreciated "homers carry over" rule.
  17. What is the main event?
  18. They squashed the broad. Haas is gonna pull a wildpegasus and show Vis some dirty pictures now.
  19. This is pure, actual WrestleCrap.
  20. BTW, I can't think of a more deserving match for this crowd than Vis/Haas. SHE DROPPED THE FRIEND CARD. Kill her.
  21. Hey Jim Ross, Lillian was the one who wanted to marry Viscera, not the other way around. Keep your stupid angles straight.
  22. Flair wanting a hardcore match makes no sense. Oh jesus. I will now turn the show off for several minutes.
  23. Taped Foley promo Vs. Ric Flair promo. SAME OLD SHIT YES! Monthly WCW reference!
  24. I'll admit, I turned off the game during a "ERROR WITH GAMECUBE" sanity effect.
  25. The last time WWE Raw was in Sioux City: Randy Orton teamed with Chris Benoit to defeat Triple H and Batista. Orton pinned Big Dave with an RKO clean.
