  1. A horrible, slow Raw IMO.
  2. What happened after Orton threw Michaels off the top, the digital cable got all scrambly due to the weather.
  3. Shhhhh, don't mention talented posters around this message board. They might chase you away, too.
  4. For those of you who haven't heard of Phil Mushnick... Late 1997, Raw would cut to a couple-minute long "shoots" by Jim Cornette, giving his opinion on hot topics, on the air. Oct 6th "blah blah, the nWo is a bunch of assholes. Nash promised us he'd stay and then walked out on us. Sean Waltman goes to WCW, he's only there because Hall & Nash like to see him puke on himself when he's drunk, and he carries their bags." Oct 13th He brought up Mushnick, who apparently wrote a column about Pillman's death. Internet and WWE opinion were that is was biased and slanderous. I think it was. It was VERY controversial, unlike this article.
  5. They're both terrible and remind me of WCW 2001, in that they hype every basic maneuever as if its groundbreaking, despite their company being incredibly bush league in an attempt to equal production of WWE.
  6. Actually, I don't think its Perfect's injury that caused the quick tapout. I believe this would be the first time Bret had the hold applied on Hennig. It was a reversal sequence. For Hennig, I think it was just difficult to tell whether, VISUALLY, the hold looked fully applied. The crowd popped for the reversal, so Hennig just accidently assumed it was fully applied. After all, there was no TitanTron back then for Curt to stare at, as he was face down/sideways. Curt didn't do it on purpose...I think he just assumed the hold was on and looked properly secured.
  7. Orton was the best IC Champ since the 1990-1995 era. As a heel, his title reign should get heat, if done correctly. Keep Bob Orton around. Play up younger, fresh challengers, as opposed to boring feuds we've already seen with Taker. At Armageddon, do Rey/Orton. At Rumble, do Benoit/Orton. At Mania, do Batista/Orton.
  8. Updated through Nov. 20. Heidenreich #4 and climbing.
  9. The best moment of 2004 for me was Benoit/Eddie's WM celebration. The best moment of 2004 to my casual friends was that ridiculous song that played for Kane & Lita. They still mock it at random all the time. "She's havin' my baby!" "What a lovely way to say I love you!" "Well she's havin' my baby!"
  10. The best of the three was Music City Showdown, IMO. That's really awesome, that we each have three different opinions and would rank either as the best of the 3.
  11. Eh, so sue me. For what its worth I always admired Bret's great ringwork, I just hated his character.
  12. If Edge keeps up this injury pace, he'll also retire undefeated at WM.
  13. Please keep Christian away from horrible Raven and horrible Jeff Hardy.
  14. ________ 11/19: 1) Joe vs. Jerrelle Clark 2) AMW vs. Siaki/Apolo 3) Abyss vs. Rhino Main event is a Christian interview _________ I'll be watching my first Impact on Spike tonight. Looking forward to a hard-hitting Joe squash. That tag match sucks. Abyss and Rhino I guess would be okay, but Tenay and West's horrible "OMG THIS IS SO CRAZY, EVERY MOVE IS SUICIDAL!! CALL A DOCTOR!" commentary will ruin it. Christian, woohoo. I think I'll watch from 11-11:10 and 11:50-midnight.
  15. WWE.com announced: Orton/Batista Street Fight title match Benoit/Booker T U.S. Title match Orton is on Team Smackdown! at Survivor Series...they claim the team is now Batista, Orton, Rey, Lashley, and JBL.
  16. Don't get me wrong, Jericho's WCW run as Cruiserweight titleholder is like, IMO, one of the top 5 most creative characters ever, I loved it. I have the Georgia Dome Nitro where Goldberg wins the title on tape. Jericho and Malenko in the ring. Neither can TOUCH THE OTHER or they're outta their Bash at the Beach match. OF COURSE Malenko won't actually touch Jericho, right? Can't SCRAP the match. Jericho goats him. "blah blah...you're a jobber...your dead father sucks..." Malenko is furious. "He's just trying to bait you! You're smarter than this! be the ICEMAN!" yells JJ Dillon to Malenko. Finally, cooler heads prevail...they're about to leave. Jericho: "Oh, one more thing. Dean, you and I are a lot alike. Your father was a great athlete, as was mine. Thus, we both grew up without our dads around. It had to be hard for Mr. Malenko to be all alone on the road. His wife not there. I mean, have you ever wondered, Dean, why you and your brother look ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ALIKE?" Malenko SNAPS, ripping Jericho's hair out, assaulting him.
  17. Konan did two appearences as Max Moon. Bret blatantly ripped off Sting by using the Sharpshooter. Sting = US Champ, Popular face At the same time, Bret's push to the #2 title began, popular face...why he chose to use the Scorpion Deathlock, I don't know. So between WCW spring/summer 1991 you had the two #1 contenders making babyface comebacks leading into the Sharpshooter/Scorpion Deathlock. I HATED that.
  18. Owen'd better get one before Eddie.
  19. For y'all that saw Smackdown! already...there is a Cruiserweight battle royal. Did Juvy come to the ring wearing the title?
  20. Catherine Sutherland, who was even HOTTER than the ultra-hot Amy Jo Johnson, played "Cat", the new pink ranger. As I kid I lost interest here. Actually, she wasn't hotter. But the accent was really hot. http://imdb.com/name/nm0840059/
  21. Is there any way this could be referring to JESSE VENTURA? Screw the "locker room watch", perhaps the sheets are wrong, as usual. He's the most mainstream of any pro wrestler. And he looks awful. Amy Ace said: "As far as Kurt goes, its not just a rumor, I have first hand knowledge, and have been worried about him long before Eddie died." Do you also have a members.aol.com/ websiteZ for me to visitZ? Stop posting "inside know all" without specifying, and explaining who you are. If you're that important that you can't share the details, then fuck off.
  22. Well, we do offer an illegal service by providing alcohol to minors. But I also said that while I think the kid is at fault, the partyholders are, too.
  23. Bret signed my copy on Tuesday. He looked EXHAUSTED. I discussed how I had never seen the Bulldog/Bret IYH match before and loved it, because that night I was at an Eagles/Lions playoff game (55-10 or so stomping by Eagles). He looked at me like I just asked him to sign it to "Mike Hickenbottom". Oh well, it was free. Scary thing was, after waiting 3 hours to get a good line spot, the girl's like "OK, show your (Best Buy) receipts!" I bought mine at FYE (better price, free skull hat). However, one of the foolish Best Buy clerks gave me a pink sticker to put on the box (Bret's DVD from FYE came in a big box, in addition to the DVD case). She let me go. So unlike the Hitman, I was able to avoid being screwed.
  24. The Jericho "1,004" holds angle lasted all of 1 minute. And ended, after the commercial break, with Prince Iaukea getting ON THE MIC, threatening Jericho, and Jericho leaving, afraid (?!). The 1,004 holds thing was horrible, IMO. When they returned from the break, Jericho was still reading the first page, but was on hold # 730 or so. Lame. ________ From that same Nitro. When discussing the #66 (about Goldberg). Heenan: "66. Wasn't that Wayne Gretzky's number?" Tenay: "Why, why yes it was!" Heenan: "See, they're both great ones!"
