  1. If I didn't include it, someone would have asked, which would have led to 5 replies. Or, someone would say "there was never a "." in Booker T's name", check the Smackdown roster at wwe.com. Saving time.
  2. If a newbie TNA fan were to turn into Impact! tonight, he'd see a Monty Brown Vs. Abismo Negro match. Just found it interesting to have a competitor labeled as "Negro" and have Monty Brown doing his insane, screaming gimmick.
  3. Like JBL has time to talk to the fans. Pshhha. The guy's the WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT CHAMPION. What's that you say? At the house show you attended he jobbed to Johnny Stamboli? What? The house show was a ciuple months ago?
  4. Frigid, I'll give you an unbiased Jericho/Guerrera review from SuperBrawl 8 in about a half hour. Hell in the Cell with Triple H isn't as "bad" as HHHaters say, but it isn't anything special, at all. I've got the "best of jericho in japan and ecw" 6 hour comp., so i can give you some matches from that to include, altho not all of them are great.
  5. Alex Shelly needs a new name. It sounds like Primtime has to fight two little girls. Sounds decent tho, watchin' it at midnight tonight.
  6. Curious. I've seen all of these but 1, and obviously know the results of it. If you were to pickup these 4 movies, what wouldja watch first? Not asking for help, curious to your personal tastes. They were 5.99 each, buy 2, get 2 free. 1. WWE Unforgiven '99 (6-Pack Main Event...E & C Vs. Outlaws) 2. WCW Superbrawl 8 (1998...Hogan/Sting, Steiners, Guerrera unmasks, Booker T wrestles 2 clinics) 3. WCW Uncensored '99 (Flair/Hogan, Horsemen/Windham and Hennig, Saturn/Jericho) 4. WWE Breakdown (Sept. 98) Kane/Taker/Austin, Rock/Foley/Shamrock, Edge/Owen The triple cage of Shamrock/Rock/Foley *made* Rock that much more over, IMO. Never saw Booker's two big TV title bouts back to back. Personally, I'd go: Superbrawl 8, Breakdown, Uncensored, Unforgiven
  7. 1. G.I. Bro = Indies circa 1990 2. Booker T. = GWF/Texas circa 1991 3. Kole = Initial WCW name with partner Kane (Stevie Ray) circa 1993 4. Booker T. = WCW re-name (Their "real names" as said by the announcers...) 5. Booker. = Minus the "T" early in 2000, after losing rights to Harlem Heat and the "T" to Stevie Ray and Big T (Tony Norris, aka Ahmed Johnson) 6. G.I. Bro = Stupid Russo idea, briefly captained the Misfits in Action, circa mid-2000 7. Booker T. = resumed use of "T" in name before a tag match in mid-2000 on Thunder 8. Booker T = Dropped the "." after the "T" after joining the WWF in 2001.
  8. Just a comment on the trailers. The trailer (complete) for Blade: Trinity played THREE TIMES before the movie (First, middle, and last trailer to be shown). We also got Christmas with the Kranks, Catwoman, I, Robot, and I think 1 or 2 others.
  9. One of the funniest posts I have ever read. Glad I finally got to. MY KNEES WON'T GOOO!!!!
  10. 2 Reasons: 1) Internet Wrestling Smark Newbies are excited to get any "secret news", and don't know any better. 2) Keller is to the internet what, say, Montreal Canadiens are to the NHL. Both started out powerfully and now totally suck and never do anything, but have been around pretty long and thus, can't be ignored.
  11. Check some hotels and such if you're really bored? Just have a good time, tailgate/BBQ before hand perhaps? (Or tell your story from the "embarassing night" thread, and they'll probably let you meet Mr. McMahon)
  12. I think Guerrero was a lousy champion. If you're gonna rip up Diesel for not being a draw or having memorable matches, then you must do the same for Eddie. House shows are being cancelled everywhere. Smackdown! is lousy. He's the main focus. He didn't have any stand-out defenses, save for Angle. And he lost it to a mid-carder.
  13. He didn't wrestle. He got involved in Lawler's "King's Court" session when Lawler blasted him and his new show on USA Network, "Tek World".
  14. Wasn't as good as last week's? Did they personally reach out of the television and punch you? That's the only way it could have been worse than last week's snore-o-rama. Main Event sounded cool?
  15. The Raw match between HBK and Y2J, IMO, barely touches **. The WM 19 match, however, was eons better, around **** with a silly, anti-climatic finish.
  16. AhhHHH!!! Get out of my way!!! ::::taps:::: She's in the basement!!!!!!!!
  17. I hope they announce a GAULTLET FOR THE GOLD! That could into Shamrock (who won the first one) returning.
  18. You fools. Eddie's winning the belt at SummerSlam, I bet. Just so a face can walk off with a "World Title".
  19. I am one of the biggest Booker T in WWE haters in the world. But the fact this thread was started by a message that says "Booker T was supposed to be this great WCW wrestler" etc. shows stupidity. Supposed to? Did you watch WCW? NO!? Then WATCH some tapes. Although Booker T in WWE has sucked, yes. He has however, despite your claim, had a great WWE match, at WWE Armageddon 2002. That's one of a few good/great matches he has had. Still, don't put Booker over as a "guy who was supposed to be great", using the words "supposed to" in future arguments. That's contradicting yourself. He can't be "supposedly" good if there is no documentation for his work. Since you started the topic, you're responsible for said documentation.
  20. I've got: Teddy Hart and Trent Acid over Homicide. Rave & B-Boy over Strong. Ruckus and one of the other two over the other...unfamiliar with those 2. Webb & Sonjay over Petey. Hart over Acid. B-Boy over Rave. Ruckus in the final 4. Sonjay over Webb. Hart and Sonjay in the finals. Hart wins. Predictable...yeah, but it'd make for the best.
  21. Luther Reigns in action? :::hops on Ticketmaster:::
  22. Kane wins World Title tonight, I predict.
  23. Anyone actually paying $35 for this show?
  24. <- LOL at CM Punk to Ric Flair "great match" comparisons.
  25. Not the only thing. The Cruiserweight Division had just reached the end of a GREAT run (soon to be ruined by Rey's title reign while a member of Master P's gang and fighting heavyweights, and Lenny Lane getting the title). But still, you had Psychosis, Rey, Juvy, Kidman, Blitzkrieg all busting ass on random Nitros and PPVs.
