PleasePleasePlease not a Y2J/Kane match.
-
I miss the part of the opening where Mark Henry does the "money" handsign when it says "THE MONEY!"
-
Batista: "I should get the first shot at him! I had to take him to Chuck E. Cheese... Ric Flair: "CHUCK E. CHEESE?!?!?!?!? I'm RIC FLAIR!"
-
"Chuck E. Cheese? I'm Ric Flair!"

Damnit, Thome is up at the derby...

I bought a handy bottle of Smirnoff vodka to help make Raw easier to watch tonight. Honestly, the last few times they've came off a PPV, it has been ugly, save for Backlash, a show bookended by Y2J/Christian (Tomko's debut) and Benoit/Edge winning the tag titles.
-
I hope there are some wrestling matches tonight.

The OAO Nightmare on Elm Street thread
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to JN News's topic in Television & Film
I liked when the Dungeons and Dragons kid "zapped" Freddy with the "magical" wizard powers... Freddy no-sells it, bashes "wizards" and then kills the kid in a second. Honestly, after part 3, the series as "horror" is completely downhill. It just turns into Freddy being a comical idiot. -
Didn't call it a 25-minute rest hold. Said restholds for 25 minutes. Okay, so I exaggerated. The restholds lasted about 18 minutes, Orton running out of the ring lasted 5 minutes, and the action was about 3 minutes. = ** of crap.

Triple H = 8 World Title Wins (Mankind, 6-Pack, Big Show, Rock, Jericho, Awarded via Bischoff, Michaels, Goldberg) Lesnar = 3 World Title Wins (Rock, Angle, Angle) Rock = 9 World Title Wins (Mankind, Mankind, Mankind, Triple H, Six-Man Tag, Angle, Booker T, Jericho, Undertaker) Undertaker = 4 World Title Wins (Hogan, Sycho Sid, Austin, Hogan) Jericho = 3 World Title Wins (Rock, Rock, Austin) The "Undisputed Title" is ONE TITLE BELT made up of two championships (The WWE Title and The World Championship). A reign of "Undisputed Champion" is a World Title reign, that is undisputed. Not two title reigns at once.

Clearly whoever just said that restholdmania was the best match Edge has ever had did not watch Edge's 5-6 better matches at least with the Smackdown Six.......not to mention SSlam 01...not to mention other "average" matches that didn't put me to sleep.

Competiton for WWE in the future??
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to Kizzo's topic in General Wrestling
Post the FUCKING STORY or don't post a new thread. I'm sick of people posting links to the NEWSZBORES lately and having pop-ups for fucking "Earning Your College Degree in 15 days"... -
Benoit PUNCHED EUGENE as Eugene was standing on the apron deciding whether or not to get the referee. Storyline: Benoit could take "no chances" with a "member" of Evolution out there. The Truth: The crowd briefly gasped and boo'd Benoit for his heelish action. All seeds for drawing the crowd's love away from the champion from Farmer Hunter.

Disturbing Quote from Velocity
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to Phoenix Fury Legdrop's topic in The WWE Folder
The internet dubbed it the "Hollycaust". Not WWE. -
**** 1/4 for Orton/Eugene? You're out of your fucking mind. The ENTIRE MATCH was one big rest hold. I don't care if Orton "twitched his legs"...that isn't psychology, that's compensating for your lack of in-ring skill. Crowd liked Orton and shit on Edge at first. And then after ORTON DID REST HOLDS FOR 25 MINUTES the crowd turned on Orton and apathetically supported Edge. 3 (hot) minutes later, a new champ, and a thankful end to a shitty bout. STAR RATINGS: Tajiri/Rhyno Vs. The Coach & Cade: * 1/2 Batista Vs. Jericho: * 1/4 Eugene & Flair Vs. La Resistance: ** Kane Vs. Hardy: * 3/4 Edge Vs. Orton: ** Molly Vs. Victoria: * 3/4 HHH Vs. Benoit: *** 3/4

Opening tag: Decent and solid. Jericho/Batista: Good "big man vs. little" match. Still, very boring. Edge/Orton: AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL, and BORING. Very hot last 4-5 minutes, though. Could have sworn they were going for a draw. Lay off the rest holds, Orton. You fucking suck and Edge is equally as boring. World Tag Titles: Very hot crowd. Mostly A)chops and B)La Rez slapping Flair around. Decent tho. Women's #1 Contender: Solid, if underappreciated. Good psychology by Molly. Kane/Hardy: The crowd was actually a little more into this than I predicted. Lame ending, but Hardy worked his ASS OFF. And it wasn't a "Kane beatdown" for whoever "reported" that, Hardy got a bunch of shots in with weapons, chairs, TV monitor, and reversing the tombstone into a (very sloppy) twist of fate. Equally sloppy chokeslam in the match, too. World Title: Very solid bout...highly enjoyable. Terrible ending. Okay, so the chair knocks HHH down. I get it. But he STANDS UP and then gets simply rolled up? Lame. Kill this stupid Eugene shit. Eh, great Raw. Awful $35 PPV.

Haha I saw DEMONS at a theatre during a special horror showing. The end driving/80's music sequence just kicks ass. It's a fun movie.

New Mattitude Commentary-- Be positive, guys.
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to The Mandarin's topic in The WWE Folder
Matt Hardy is boring. His music sucks. His "look" sucks. This angle with Kane sucks. His style sucks. I do not like watching him on television. My friends go and get snacks when he appears, or groan. But I shouldn't say "sucks" he says. Make positive suggestions. "Dear WWE, I do not like Matt Hardy. Please get him off television and I think you will have more fans be interested in your product." His knee problem sounds really bad, though. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. -
The Eagles have done nothing, except go to the 80-81 Super Bowl. Their recent "success" IS the torture. Come on. 3 straight title game losses. Favored in 2 of them...up at the half in the other. The Phillies have the worst winning percentage of any (non-recently expanded) sports team in HISTORY of the big 4. They've gone 11 years without playoffs since 93. The Sixers have been awful since the early 80's, minus a really GREAT 2000-01 season and a couple shitty playoff appearences where you knew the team was going nowhere. The Flyers...god. I don't even think I can talk about it.

Anchorman- The Legend of Ron Burgundy
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to DMann2003's topic in Television & Film
Based on TV ads, the movie looked STUPID, even with Ferrell. I saw it tonight. I laughed a lot (as did the crowd, who applauded a few times at certain things). It was entertaining. I was in a bad mood when I went to the theatre. I left smiling. Go see it. When in Rome. -
I've recently totally eliminated beer & regular soda from my diet and stuck with mixed drinks (or just vodka shots, etc.) and diet sodas. It really works wonders. Had a Diet Pepsi slurpee the other day. Just a tremendous aftertaste. Had a regular Coke slurpee for some reason on July 4th and it just didn't have the "kick" that the Diet one did. My purpose was to get more trim and cut, and exercise whenever I could. It's easy. One-Two GOOD meals a day. I recommend: - Serving of Romaine Lettuce. No cheese, no croutons, no dressing. - Eaten with 1-2 breasts of Grilled Chicken (try to get Carribean or Cajun, for FLAVOR!) - Sides of string beans and asparagus...asparagus are one of the BEST THINGS YOU CAN EAT. Lots of nutritional stuff, but hardly ANY carbs and no fat! - If you need to fill up, grab one or two SMALL CHILIs from Wendy's. Try to work out (I'm not a gym guy). I recomend SWIMMING (40 min-1 hour) and Running the Treadmill. If you're overweight, you'll see dramatic results. If you have a little babyfat or whatever, or have just not been eating properly, you'll see a TREMENDOUS change in your mood, sleep, and energy. Good luck.

Coming this Friday to The Smark Marks
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to JasonX's topic in Television & Film
I saw an attempt to post the "first part" of this on the main page yesterday, but the link led to nothing. Do we really need a review of this crap. -
I wouldn't throw Mysterio into the match. The buyrates aren't going to change because the show is already purchased. I find it silly to have him not win in the match, as well. Also, Jericho's cruiserweight run can't be denied! Plus, at this time, keep in mind that Rey's knee required major surgery. Also, keep in mind that Booker T is one of the few wrestlers who used a title to develop major mainstream credibility (ala Orton). His "surprise" win over Disco on Nitro helped build what would be a solid fan-base. Everything else is cool, but Bobby Heenan? Eh...why add more non-wrestlers/guys who won't actively manage to the fold?
