When I came into this thread, I assumed they threw Chemical Ali a birthday party. I was sadly disappointed.

Y'know, Topher Grace (Eric on That 70's Show) wouldn't be that bad of a Spiderman. Laura Prepon (Donna) could probably do Mary Jane well too.

CM Funk's Once a Day *IN DEPTH* Match Review
The Mandarin replied to The Mandarin's topic in General Wrestling
I'll do this one first and later tonight I'll edit that above post with my review of Mind Games. -
Nonononono. Edge vs. Orton was done last month and it shouldn't be expected that they can do anything more than that. Why not Edge vs. Batista instead? They had a good match on RAW, and it would free up Orton, because Orton vs. Jericho is where the $$$ is. I'd like to see a Orton vs. Jericho Streetfight somewhere down the line. As for JBL being a long-term champion, did ANYBODY see Diesel's reign?

I dunno, some argue OJ did make the cut. Both of them.

New Storm Commentary
The Mandarin replied to A Guy Who Injects Heroin Into Kids' Eyes 's topic in The WWE Folder
So there's the updated list. Lance has said there's only 9 people he hasn't faced, and the list has 20+ left. Royal Rumbles don't count, so I'm assuming battle royals don't either, which means we don't know for sure if he's fought Nash. From all the house show reports I've read, too, there's not one instance of him ever facing Batista or D-Lo. -
If you'd like to comment on one of the matches I've already reviewed here, feel free to do so in this thread. You can find my recap/review in the match reviews link. This is generally regarded as the best match in their series, which also included SummerSlam '03 and the Iron Man. You'd think that was quite odd, being that Kurt Angle's neck put a limit on what they could do in the ring and Lesnar completely blew the ending to the match. Lesnar and Angle had a lot of pressure on them as the match was built up for a long time on-screen and even longer off-screen. Since they were known as two great amateur wrestlers, the general idea was that it had the chance to be a classic-- until Angle got hurt. Incredibly, Angle risked further injuring his neck rather than cancelling their planned main event. So to spark up some discussion, modnote: please don't spark it

I haven't read the entire thing yet, but so far I am at about ch 10 and I'd say no. Scott Steiner and Eric Bischoff are two that come to mind.

Might not be an "old school" question, but what exactly does "JIP" mean during the review of a wrestling match? I see Scott Keith throw it around so frequently I want to hurt myself.

Smackdown (*Spoilers*) for 07/15/04
The Mandarin replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Well, I guess this is building up to Angle/Guerrero at SummerSlam, which is good news. I hope Angle's neck holds up so they can have a match that's okay in comparison to WrestleMania (which I thought was excellent). -

Tony K. called Ken Jennings a dickweed.
The Mandarin replied to The Czech Republic's topic in Television & Film
Some guy on Press Your Luck won somewhere around $200,000 in one show once. He discovered that the pictures would light up in a certain pattern and used it to his advantage. They fixed it after that incident. It was on some GSN two and a half hour special. I still can't believe I watched the whole thing, it was 70% commercials and the actual show was very boring. And you'd get a car of your choice. Yeah, but he's the only one picking the questions since he knows the answers to everything. -

I thought Bret was still recovering from the stroke. Wouldn't it be a tad..difficult to do that? But then again, he said "someone like me", so I'm assuming he's saying that someone will come to his defense.

Joe Schmoe 2 Premiers Tuesday June 15th on Spike!
The Mandarin replied to a topic in Television & Film
This episode was one of the best in Schmo history. I'm getting the box set of this one as soon as it comes out. Still haven't gotten season one though. Tim is really likable now. He was great in the last episode, and he was pretty funny tonight. He'll NEVER touch Matt Kennedy Gould, though. Anybody willing to rank their favourite actors on the show? Go here (Schmo 1) and here(Schmo 2) for full cast listings. Mine: 1) Ralph Garman 2) Kip 3) The Hutch 4) Bryce 5) Molly, the Virgin And of course, OriginalSchmo is the best non-actor. -
Flair/Hurricane was better than most of last night's matches.

Anyone heard if Manchurian Candidate is good? It looks alright.

My closed captioning just picked up JR's commentary as "Thank God Grenier did not sing the Can D.N.A Tornadian anthem." ..?

Ken's "meep-meep" after mentioning the roadrunner was hilarious.
