    NFL Week Eleven

Yeah, at this point they have to win out to even have a shot at the playoffs as 9-7, with losing every tiebreaker is not going to cut it. with a remaining schedule of: Green Bay Seattle NY Giants at St. Louis at Arizona Washington Taking a glance at it, they should have at least a chance to win each of those games. There is still some faint hope, but the margin for error is zero. Sad note: from this point forward they don't play at 1:00. So for other cities, you may be seeing a lot of the Eagles in the "main" games.
  2. To be fair to Paterno, though, there is a pretty good chance that Robinson would have been abysmal last year as the starting QB. It took him an extra year to get to the raw stage he was at this year. Being worse, with the complete lack of skill talent they had last year likely adds up to disaster. Granted it was a disaster anyway, but I don't think Robinson would have done much. Wasn't Anthony Morelli one of the highest rated recruits at QB when PSU signed him up?

As much as they need an OLB, I'd be shocked to see them go that route. If they ever took a LB or RB in the first round, it would blow my mind. If they get a high enough pick, I think they go OL (have to replace Tra Thomas, his body is shot). And lord knows we don't need them taking a LB in the 2nd round. That history is just too depressing, even in the current Eagles setting.

Considering how well the Giants D has played lately, I think a little more credit can go to McMahon as opposed to the Giants making him look good. This game clearly shows what drives the Eagles, the pass rush. In the first half Kearse and Cole were wreaking havoc and shut down the Giants D. In the second half the Giants adjusted, shut down the pass rush and moved the ball at will. The Eagles are screwed though, if Lito is out. He hasn't been having a good year, but it is the trickle down effect that will kill them. Lito out means Rod Hood moves into the #2 slot (he should be fine there, he is a quality CB), but that moves Matt Ware into the nickel back which is going to be a nightmare.

I think this is Trotter letting out some frustration with his dealings with the FO in the past. Remember, he had to come back to the team with his tail between his legs. I think that may be part of why he seems to be TO's main backer, I don't think it would crush him to see someone get over on the FO.
  7. Taking out 2 Top-6 teams in one week just salvaged my season. All hail the Scarlet Knights.

I couldn't agree more. The last few days, after the new batch of comments, all I can think of is that they have such a losers' attitude right now it is unbelievable. A team like the Pats would just say, "Management made the decision, time to move on.". Instead dipshits like Trotter keep toeing the line and spewing shit like "well if TO were to come back and act the right way we would love to have him back." Guess what jackass, if TO was willing to act the right way this wouldn't be a problem. And all those comments do is harp on the negatives, stir up doubt and rile up the morons against McNabb (OMG TROTTERRRR SAID HE WANTZ TTTTT.....OOOOOO....TO.TO.TO BACK, MCNABB IZ TEH BABY).

Honestly, the worst thing that could happen to the team is that McMahon leads them to the playoffs. There is already a contingent of idiots that blame McNabb for running TO out of town. If McMahon got them to the playoffs, next year it would be AJ Feeley all over again, only this time about 20 fold.

The draft depends on Trent Cole. If Cole turns out to be a player, they can go with any of DT, LB, CB, WR, or OL with their first pick. If Cole turns out to be nothing, they have to get a Dumervil level pass rusher first. The lack of pass rush is absolutely killing the defense.

To be fair to Reid, IIRC, McNabb missed Westbrook a couple times on passes out of the backfield. And they likely limited the rushing attempts since Gordon was effective early (no need beating Westbrook up if Gordon was working) and they had him returning punts.

No, he isn't worthless. He just isn't as highly prized as Reno Mahe. Honestly, why the fuck was Mahe on offense at all? Haven't we learned he is garbage.

This is beautiful. They are currently going over the Williams INT play. Apparently the play they called was a play where the WR reacted based on what the defense showed. So in the 4th quarter, of a game you are leading, you call a play where the QB and your ROOKIE WR (in his 2nd game starting) have to be thinking the same thing. What a shock that that turned out bad. McNabb still should not throw that ball, but what a stupid play call.

Time to shut down McNabb. They are three games out of the division lead (2 behind Dallas, plus they have lost to Dallas twice adding a third game back essentially), so let McMahon have a go at it since McNabb in this condition certainly can't bring them back from that. Someone please explain to me why the hell Glenn was not double teamed on that touchdown. It had been working all night and Sheppard has been lit up all season. That was not the time to put him on an island. At least Trent Cole looks like a player (I'm taking a bright spot if I can get it).
  16. Well, thank god Jesse Jackson finally got on the case. From the Philadelphia Inquirer (also contains a quote from Keyshawn about Drew Rosenhaus): In regard to the bolded point, maybe someone should let him know that being a detriment to the team is against the rules (especially in TO's case, after it was made perfectly clear via the letter during training camp.)
  17. I don't think it is fair to say grow a thicker skin. It isn't like this is just a single potshot taken that could be easily blown off. It is a different story when you have your QB under constant attack from him, without the ability to say anything back. I defy anyone to deal with that, stay silent, and not develop some type of problem with it. Another thing people are forgetting is that the team, with TO, was not playing like a title contender this year. This is not like last year, where if TO was a problem, he was the only problem and could be patted on the head and shooed away. This year the team has major issues and can not deal with them as effectively, when they have to deal with this garbage. BTW, against the 6th ranked defense in passing YPG allowed, the top 3 WRs (Brown, Lewis McMullen) had only 10 fewer receiving yards than the top 3 WRs (Owens, Lewis, Brown) had in their most productive game in receiving yards all season, the Chiefs game. As ridiculous as it may sound, I fail to see how the loss of TO really hurt them against the Skins. They had a winning record when TO made the comment. And God himself playing QB in the Dallas and Denver games would not have made a difference.
  18. I don't get how any player could want Rosenhaus to represent him after today. While I don't think TO was sincere, he at least appeared more sincere than usual. If it would have ended there, people might be willing to cut him a little break (doubtful, but still a little possible). But when immediately afterward Rosenhaus goes on his rant that destroys any goodwill that TO just built. What good does that serve the client to destroy what little is left of him? The best part of the PC was after the aforementioned "kicked off the team" question. Look at TO in the background after that question is asked, he has an ear to ear grin and winks at the reporter who asked the question. That can't be a good sign for the TO/Rosenhaus relationship.
  19. I'll tally them up if you want to set it up. Hooray for unemployment.
  20. A question posed to Drew Rosenhaus during TO's press conference: Q: Drew, you have been TO's agent for 5 months now. What have you done for him other than get him kicked off the team? Get that reporter on ESPN immediately.

  22. According to local reports over the last couple weeks, the Fiesta committee is in love with Penn State. While I would be surprised to see any bowl pass on ND as it's first choice, I wouldn't be shocked if Fiesta goes PSU.
  23. Indys and non-BCS conferences need a top 12.
  24. Goodbye fucker and good riddance I am kind of amused that the players' union is filing a grievance. I guess they have to show some support for TO, but there has to be some line where you figure this is not a battle worth picking.

At least the WRs played very well, so they can tell TO to go fuck himself.
