  1. Minimal He was a restricted FA this past offseason (before the latest injury) when he could have been had for just a fourth round pick and a cheap contract. No one jumped. He is a nice back, but there are a ton of guys out there like him and plenty that don't bring the injury baggage.
  2. Why are you not a Winslow fan? Just the attitude or has he done something else?
  3. Again, I am not saying the D has no problems and I am not saying they are the best in the league. All I am saying is that they are not a liability to the point where they are going to get romper stomped by any competent offense come playoff time. They can hold their own.
  4. And they held all but Dallas under their season averages. They held Washington to their lowest score of the season (less that Pittsburgh allowed). They held Carolina to the second lowest score of the season (a team that has scored 20 ppg since). They held Chicago to their third lowest. They just held the Giants to 6 which is their lowest of the season. So they are doing the job against teams they should be doing their job against.
  5. Well out of those three teams the only one they have played twice is the Giants, who have arguably the league's best running back this year. So shouldn't he have run wild and put some points on the board? Washington is garbage, but every team has played a garbage team. And Dallas put up 21 against them, actually hurting their per game average. So their division has been irrelevant to this point.
  6. I like how 27 keeps getting thrown out there. How about 164, as in total points allowed. You know, tied for lowest in the league points allowed. But the defense had a couple games where they allowed points, oh my god they suck. I have tried to be reasonable here. I acknowledged the front seven has had problems, I stated their starting DTs have sucked a dick, I will acknowledge Lito Sheppard has sucked the last month and that the D has question marks. But if your response is going to be 27, I will respond with 164 and leave it at that.
  7. The Eagles have had some front seven problems. Simon and Walker have sucked a dick this year, it appears the threat of Rayburn and Thomas is working as they played better this week. The DE opposite Kearse (McDougle, Douglas, Burgess) have all been disappointing. They should be wreaking havoc playing opposite Kearse, but that has not been happening.
  8. 2003 was certainly a choke job. Noone showed up to play.
  9. And Westbrook also has 48 catches on the season, tied for the league lead among RBs and creates constant mismatches when flanked out on the edge. His gamebreaking ability is not just based on running the ball.
  10. And there was just a story in the Philadelphia Inqurier where he states he is feeling better every week and is fully recovered from his rib injury. Just because it was not serious (read: broken), does not mean it still did not affect him. I am not saying that he would have done anything against Pitt. Nobody was that day. I am just eliminating that from the "does not show up" arguement, because he was still affected by the injury
  11. Please tell me you are kidding? He had a rib injury and two weeks later it was fully healed, don't think so. I guess it also explains the 9 touches he had that game. "I have an idea, we aren't doing jack on offense, we better avoid giving the ball to our best gamebreaker." Makes sense to me.
  12. What is with the Westbrook doesn't show up stuff? vs. Minnesota - 138 total yards vs. Detroit - bad game 76 yards, Jon Ritchie got hurt and all blocking was lost for the day vs. Chicago - 183 total yards vs. Carolina - 90 total yards And then he got injured against Cleveland and was out for Balt., still injured vs. Pitt. Also, going back through last year in his 343 touches, he has exactly 1 fumble. So he doesn't take anything away from his team either.
  13. Not asking much there are you. If I am the Cowboys, I am making a push for Antrel Rolle or Carlos Rogers in the draft. They need someone, anyone who can cover a WR.
  14. They aren't going to stop until Silva kills Sakuraba are they?
  15. Eagle thoughts: - Steve Sciullo might be playing himself into a job for next season to the point where I would not mind an OL of Runyan/Andrews(stud)/Fraley/Scuillo/Hicks. Goodbye Thomas, good riddance. - Goodbye FredEx. Methinks he will want to be paid like the legend he is in his mind as opposed to the mediocre third down back he is on the field. - I agree that it is likely Chad Lewis will be back, but I disagree about there being no market for him. Tight ends are having a rebirth in the league and there are a few teams who could probably use him, especially with a young QB. - A DE is needed as the production opposite Kearse has been disappointing considering they never get doubled. coughGoGetDavidPollackcough - Sam Rayburn will be a starter next year and Corey Simon will be disappointing some team that saw the name and thought he was still a Pro Bowler - They will address the WLB in the offseason as Simoneau has been disappointing. This reeks of the Thrash saga where the coaches will never talk bad about them in public, but will address the problem at some point. - The secondary they are locked with the contracts they just gave out. Just get the Lewis extension done ASAP (most underrated safety in the league).
  16. 6 Keepers QB- Manning RB - Green RB - Westbrook WR - Driver TE - Clark Def - Baltimore
  17. I want to sell off my Ethan stock ($120) and buy 20 shares of Kate ($6/share).
  18. I wouldn't jump on them for Grossman's injury. He did that diving into the endzone, not on a sack. Now I don't watch them, so the O-Line might be that bad. But I would not jump on them for that. Is Quinn injured or are they just never letting him near the field again?
  19. Bring back Cade McNown (my Vitamin X's Ryan Leaf pick) And of course Len Pasquarelli is the one to get the story up on ESPN.com.
  20. At this point, I have a stronger arm than Tim Couch. A QB who is a former no. 1 pick so will bring some baggage (money, playing time) along with chronic arm problems would not be high on my list.
  21. Krenzel is out for a month. Chad Hutchinson is now the starter.
  22. Well considering there was no "smearing" in the crash then it kind of renders your joke moot.
  23. ESPN would be pretty bare bones if it just limited itself to "sports". Basketball Football Hockey (strike one) Baseball Soccer (talk about Americans not giving a shit about a sport) Tennis
  24. That must be some brilliant strategy from Nextel, FOX and NBC to sink hundreds of millions of dollars into something that only "rednecks and fans of car crashes like".
  25. I am thankful for on-field TO (off field TO makes it miserable to be a fan during the week, but I don't care since they are winning) I am thankful for Kyle Korver and Jim O'Brien and whatever got into AI that makes him *gasp* look to pass for making basketball entertaining to me again. I am thankful for the NHL strike as maybe by the time it is over some of the Flyers veterans will decide to retire and open up a ton of salary. And I am thankful (hopeful) for any accident that could cause ESPN not to air the movie "3".
