You must have really wanted Abreu over Burrell then, since I threw two pitchers in with Pat.

DVD Aficionado's compare prices page I went with a blind purchase on this, based on RRR's whoring of it alone. And I was very, very pleased.

Vicente Padilla went on the DL with elbow tendonitis. They recalled Geoff Geary.

Salazar gave him a pill to take care of the symptoms for the time being. Who knows, he will probably still have the addiction and may get it taken care of. I would assume no major damage considering he kept on the rest of the day. You can call it a cop out of the storyline, but I don't think you can call it aborted Well when she got killed I would imagine that would end the romance. We should know by now Jack isn't going to mope around for days about his plight when there is shit going down. How was this dumped? She ended up killing the guy. Who cares? Why would they bring this up when it is three years after their ordeal. How stupid would it be if the gave a random dialogue about a failed relationship of Jack's? I kind of remember Kim being a little pissed. Um, I think the matter he is up for treason should close this one for you. How was this aborted? Michelle made them the offer and they left it at that, we didn't need anymore. Hell, the storyline was probably just to make Chapelle look more sympathetic so people cared about his death. It would have been quite the slow down if we are in the middle of chasing down Saunders, then 2 episodes later we jump back to the hotel just to see people take the pills. The medical crew was setting up quarantine zones to look for the people. IIRC, they were able to find the people who came in contact with the man who escaped. But either way the show focuses on CTU, not the medical crew.

Phillies lose 9-3. I can't wait to hear why Roberto Hernandez is still brought into games in important situations. "Well we want to have a veteran reliever in there who has been in these situations before." Despite the fact that their best pitcher all year has been a rookie. There is no excuse for walking a guy who shows he is going to sacrifice bunt as soon as he got up there. If someone squares around to give up an out, let him fucking hit it, you do not walk the guy.
-
God fucking dammit Roberto Hernandez sucks.
-
Awwww that's horseshit. Eh, seems fine. It is funny seeing Carlos Silva get dropped after the blowjobs he was getting for the first month of the season.

I think we can officially announce the newest X Games sport: Surviving the Phillies walk off celebration. Perez got the ever loving shit kicked out of him. The odds have to be 50-50 that someone gets hurt during the year with one of these celebrations.

It isn't fair to compare Clemens to this. Clemens wanted to be with his family, Mondesi said his family was in danger. Big difference there. It is a disgrace that anyone would pick him up and I don't see how anyone could look him in the eye after this bullshit. He is a fucking worthless human being.

I am officially treading in the NL league. As in tread water and hope to high hell that AJ Burnett and Nick Johnson come off the DL this week and give me a boost. And in the mixed league (non H2H) my strategy is to get every single pitcher in the league on my roster at some point.

Don't forget about Lindros. Having the guy who was supposed to be the next generation of Gretzky and Lemieux and seeing him end up as a vegetable wasn't too great.

In the search for Brian Morris I was led to some team named the Englewood Marauders. Where I there is nothing stating whether he is a pitcher or position player. He was named to the Irish national team, however. Unfortunately this is for a softball team.

MLB: Jim Thome NHL: Sami Kapanen - These playoffs showed he is one tough SOB. Shot him up about 20 notches in my book. NFL: Brian Westbrook - Everytime he touches the ball I inch closer to the TV knowing he can break one off any play.

It really makes no sense unless they are getting Greg Miller or Edwin Jackson as the prospect, and Encarnacion is throw in just to get rid of some money on the Dodgers part. That deal would have me worried though, as Miller, IIRC, is coming off surgery and Jackson's control has seemingly gone to hell this year. In 46 2/3 IP he has 32 Ks and 22 walks, 5 hit batters and 3 wild pitches.

The athletic ability of Michael Vick with the pocket presence and QB intelligence of Peyton Manning. The body of David Boston with the hands and head of Marvin Harrison.

How am I supposed to limp my way to 500 with this crap? It's all a conspiracy I tell ya.

I was wondering how you could choke all the time when you have had two winning seasons in the last 19 years as well.

Couple tips Mik, Bull's BBQ is overrated as hell. Go to Harry the K's for some real food. It is expensive, but it fills you up so it works out the same as running to a food stand a couple of times.

I have no problems with moving Polanco and benching one of the others, I just see no chance of that actually happening.

I want to not be pissed about the Flyers losing, since Tampa is the better team, but they could have won that. They committed too many turnovers, couldn't stop a TB power play to save their life and shot 1 out of every 2 pucks high and wide. Too much depth from Tampa in the end though. Primeau couldn't play against Lecavalier, St. Louis, Richards, Modin and Fedetenko. I like Tampa in 6. Just so many scoring options that at least one of them will show up each game. This series is going to be a bitch for traveling on these teams.

If you could put 12 single games on one DVD

USA vs. USSR (1980 olympics) Flyers vs. USSR Flyers vs. Pittsburgh (5 OTs) Flyers vs. Lightning (2004 Game 6) Flyers vs. Senators (million PIM game) Phillies vs. Red Sox (June 2003 awesome game, I was there so I want it) Phillies vs. Royals (1980 WS winner) Eagles vs. Cowboys (4th and 1 game) Eagles vs. Packers (4th and 29) Eagles vs. Cowboys (Bounty Bowl) And from NASCAR since you are biased towards the four major sports (or just because I am struggling for games) 1998 Daytona 500 2001 Atlanta Spring Race -
I wonder if the Yankees are still interested in Placido. And one thing that makes me feel real good is the fact he isn't hitting the cheap CBP wind carried ones, he hits the type that would go out anywhere so the power numbers should carryover everywhere. He gets his money's worth out of them.

I have no problem hating Dontrelle.

He played it a little in spring training. But other options if Thome goes on the DL would be Wooten (GOD NO!!!), Perez, and Pratt. I wouldn't really want Perez or Pratt getting extended time.
