It's about time Henderson takes the Big Stick award from me.
-
That Phillies game was great, ending was a little anti-climatic, but we all wanted to go home by that point. A quick survey of nearby fans shows that Bowa is having less and less support among the fans. Most admit to having been defenders, but he is costing too much at this point. And I want Madson in the rotation now. Trade Myers for a third baseman.

Ok, it is time for me to get an official Fire Larry Bowa Fan Club card now. When asked why Thome wasn't used, Bowa only stated he wasn't available. When asked why he wasn't available, Bowa only stated he wasn't available. Thome is, however, playing tomorrow. So apparently the only reason that Thome did not play is because Larry Bowa is a worthless cocksucker.

NBA.com Expansion Draft Rules There is the NBA.com page with the expansion draft rules.
-
I think there are some curveballs in the NBA draft however. I think the teams are allowed to give the expansion team picks or cash if they take someone off the hands of a team. Example: The Sixers want to dump AI off their cap. Instead of trading him and taking a salary back in return. They can expose him and tell the expansion team that if they take him they can have their first rounder.

Am I the only one wondering how in the hell Jim Thome did not get sent in to pinch hit in the 9th? Jason Michaels, Ricky Ledee, and Tomas Perez were all trotted out there, but Thome couldn't get an AB?
-
It can be dangerous when you stretch like that, you can pull something.
-
Be careful you don't pull a hamstring.
-
Bringing in Roberto Hernandez with the bases loaded and two out in the 8th inning should be a fireable offense. Heaven forbid you let Wagner get four outs instead of three.
-
I wish I could see Jim Johnson's face today. He is going to tee off on this poor kid. The Giants O-Line is terrible, the running game sucks, and he can't just throw it to Shockey every play.

Ok, I have watched it again and am jumping on the Sergei bandwagon, because I want as many chances as possible to hear his entrance music. His entrance kicks all kinds of ass. -

*watches Sergei bandwagon pass by* Eh, Sergei had a nice size advantage and Murilo looked like he was trying to perfect his Ricco Rodriguez look tonight. If he wins next round I'll jump on. I was impressed as hell with Herring's GnP. Like I said above that match reminded me of Vov/Inoue in the sheer ground and pound ass whomping goodness. *already regrets not jumping on Sergei bandwagon and chases after it hoping it slows back down* -

I was thinking after tonight that PRIDE feeds him someone in June. Just get a punching bag in there with a weak chin and build a star. Unless they just want to give a big fuck you to K-1 and continue the destruction of the kickboxers. -

At least it won't be three days before the event when we know what is going on for the next event. We know: 4 tourney fights Sak/? Mark Hunt/? So that only leaves 2 or 3 more fights max for them to set up. I would imagine CroCop is going to want to fight someone, since he seems to fight on every card and is certainly going to be looking for a win. -

What do you think we are looking at for round 2? Schilt/Silva seems obvious. And I would imagine the will keep Fedor and Nog away from each other until the finals since CroCop is out. And I don't see them putting Ogawa against either of them since he is their Japanese draw. Predictions: Schilt/Silva - Battle of the Giants v2.0 Ogawa/Randleman - Randleman looked pretty clueless on the ground against Sak. So this is probably Ogawa's best draw. Fedor/Kharitonov - can't have two Russians in the final four Nog/Herring - Pride 17 rematch? Even if Herring has slipped, I'm there -

Spoilers if you haven't read/seen it. And I am not putting everything in those tags, too much red. I thought this was a really good show. Coleman/Fedor - I thought Coleman had him when they were stuck in the corner, but Fedor made a great escape. Nog/Yokoi - This was a great fight. Very competitive round 1 with Nog trying everything and Yokoi escaping. And a SWEET fucking submission in round 2. That was fucking awesome. Randleman/CroCop - HO-LEE FUCKING SHIT! That was ridiculous, especially considering the terrible performance against Sak at Final Conflict. Leko/Ogawa - Eh. I'll have to watch the tape to see if Leko slipped or if Ogawa caught him and knocked him down. After that they should have just called it and saved the minute. Silva/Sentoryu - I am disappointed as Sentoryu was supposed to represent us fat folk. How the hell did he get so gassed just sitting in Silva's guard? And even I, a fan for all of 9 months now, would think to roll through like Quinton Jackson in Jackson/Illkouhine (sic). Kharatonov/Ninja - Well we can obviously see how Ninja made weight. I wonder if Sergei is that good or if Ninja was just really bad tonight. Herring/Takahashi - This was just your basic Vov/Inoue ass whomping, but those are nice and entertaining. One final though, I want this announcer douchebag gone. I know PRIDE is good, you don't have to tell me every 5 god damn seconds. WE SIGNED STEFAN LEKO!!!! PRIDE GOOD!!!! OMGWTF?!? -
I can't rate the Eagles draft as I have no idea who the fuck the people they drafted were. I like the Andrews pick since he will likely be a starter in Welbourn's spot now. I really like the Matt Ware pick as he gives them the big corner they lost in Taylor. On day 2 though I am lost. The QB they took is just their next attempt at an AJ Feeley. It worked the first time so I won't doubt them here. I like Bruce Perry a lot in round 7. Outside of that it is Oline and safeties. I would imagine at least one of the safeties they took can play CB as they only have four CBs on their roster now with Ware. Being that they grabbed Rod Hood and Clinton Hart (both showed a good amount of promise) as undrafted FAs, I won't doubt them on the safeties either. And they needed Oline depth as they lost Welbourn, they will lose either Thomas or Runyan after this year, and Mayberry is turning 30 an is coming off an injury. It was certainly an unspectacular draft, but I won't punish them for that.
-
Their draft is going to be built tomorrow as they have 7 picks. If they can grab either Johnnie Morant or PK Sam with one of their 4ths and Michael Turner with the other that would be ideal to me.
-
The pick of Matt Ware in the third round made me feel a lot better about the first day's picks. I am liking the Andrews pick more and more. By the second round pick they gave up the top tier of LBs, RBs, and WRs were gone. And they ended up getting a good CB in round 3. I especially like the fact they grabbed a tall CB as Brown and Sheppard are smaller guys. They needed OLine help as their line is going to be in a state of flux in the near future (Mayberry is hitting 30, Welbourn's is a bitch, and one of Runyan or Thomas are likely to be released after this season).
-
This segment is terrible without Romanowski. They should just invite Chavous to the main set (he seems to know his stuff) and dump this idea.
-
Holy shit these RBs are going much much higher than I thought. Julius Jones to the Cowboys
-
A cynic would say that they don't have the clock so they can put up the "current selection" whenever they feel like instead of actually covering the picks as they happen. <------is a cynic
-
Oklahoma State. Big time performance at the combine as he had the fastest 40 yd dash and the most bench reps of any RB. His problem is a case of fumblitis.
-
Tatum Bell goes to Denver, quite a bit higher than I thought he would go.

Good thing we haven't heard enough about Eli Manning yet.
