(via count out, of course) 1987's house show has an interesting 6-man tag team main event. Man, that second 1995 house show looks BRUTAL. The 1996 MSG show here was used in main angles at the time, especially Diesel hitting HBK with the chair, which was shown a lot in the buildup to the April IYH match between the two. 1997 has the RAW episode with Bret saying "this is bullshit" on live TV, so that's pretty cool. 1998 has Austin vs. Rock in one of their early matches. I've never seen this, is it any good? They always seemed to have good chemistry. 2002 of course has Wrestlemania 18 on this date.

Watching my Summerslam 2000 DVD again the other night, I remembered how great the Tazz/Lawler feud was heading into the show. The match wasn't good, and I don't remember what they did between Summerslam and the rematch at Unforgiven, but the stuff leading into Summerslam was gold, with King sticking up for JR, Tazz blasting Lawler's rental car with JR in the passenger seat, busting Lawler open at the announce table, etc. Any other examples of short but fun feuds?

What was the first PPV that the WWF did a pre show video package for? I'm thinking Survivor Series 1995, did they do any before that? What was planned for the Invasion angle before they changed everything on that one memorable episode of RAW? Clearly they were building to a champion vs. champion match with a heel Austin and a babyface Booker T. Anything else?

I don't think it ever made TV, but Steiners vs. Hart Foundation from the Wrestlefest 94 tape is a GREAT babyface vs. babyface tag team match. The 123 Kid/Razor vs. Shawn/Diesel match from the Slamfest tape is a great match from Superstars that is a pretty famous battle of the Clique. But if you've never seen it before, it's definitely worth checking out. Waltman is friggin' AMAZING in that match. I ran across some really good RAW matches from 1996 when I was watching a bunch of old RAWs I had never seen. Steve Austin vs. Taker was solid, Shawn Michaels vs. Marty Jannetty for the title was very good, and Undertaker vs. Mankind no holds barred a few weeks after Survivor Series is a great little brawl that you never hear mentioned.

I'm almost positive the first motion graphics were for Unforgiven 2001. I remember it for the Jericho/RVD match.

This is a thread to great matches most of us have probably forgot. I read a post on another board where somebody talked about a great series of Marty Jannetty vs. Kato matches which I'm assuming happened on Superstars leading up to Royal Rumble 1991. Anyone else remember these? As for me, I watched a great match between Jannetty and Bam Bam Bigelow from RAW in 1993 the other day that I've never heard anyone mention. Also from RAW in 1993 is a good 2/3 falls match with Doink and Marty. Anyone else remember any good matches from Superstars, RAW, Wrestling Challenge, Prime Time Wrestling, All American Wrestling, Worldwide, Saturday Night, or any other show that deserves mention?

Here are a few questions for those who know: 1) Why did Arn and Tully leave the WWF in 1989? 2) When the Colossal Connection beat Demolition for the tag straps in 1989 so that Demolition could win them back at WM6, how did the title change happen? Did the heels cheat to beat Demolition? 3) When/how/why turn Demolition heel in 1990? 4) When the Rockers beat the Hart Foundation for the tag team titles, but then had the decision reversed, who was in contract negotiations with WWF at the time? Neidhart? 5) Why did LOD leave and then return in late 91/early 92? 6) Why did the Steiners leave the WWF after only a year? 7) Kerry Von Erich as IC champ...why? How did Mr. Perfect win the belt back from him? 8) When Bret dropped the IC title before the 92 Rumble, were they that worried about contract negotiations? Did he almost jump to WCW?

Angle wins clean with the Ankle Lock after Jannetty had escaped it a bunch of times. Huge chants for Marty and he was over big with the crowd. -Booker T faced Luther Reigns. Don't remember who won, but afterwards Heidenreich did a promo saying that Booker had inspired him to be more ethnic, and did an Akeem-esque promo. -London d. Kidman with the 450. -Big Show interview about Akebono. -Contract signing time. Bischoff is with Orton. Orton says he isn't afraid of Taker, but Taker starts up the spooky pyro, Orton gets scared, and runs off. Cena/Eddie/Rey d. JBL/Bashams. The angle during the show was that Cena would lose his title shot at Mania if he touched JBL any time other than in the match. After the match, Cena laid out both Bashams with chair shots."
