You mean you weren't like the rest of the marks at the time who wanted Slaughter to die?
-
This is supposed to be the new section for polls, yet you can't start one. Just thought I'd point that out. (Unless I'm an idiot and I'm missing something, so if that's the case, sorry)
-
Really? I thought it was a massive improvement over their match at IYH a month earlier. -=Mike Agreed, I like the KOTR match a lot. The one the month before is pretty damn boring, though, since they thought they were going 30 minutes and then had to end it quickly around the 22 minute mark.

I will remember Taboo Tuesday for several reasons. It was the first of its kind and didnt dissappoint. Intercontinental Championship Chris Jericho vs Shelton Benjamin Great choice for the opener. Awesome match. Jericho and Benjamin have great chemistry together. Shelton becomes the champ after landing his T-Bone suplex. Jericho shook hands with him at the end of the match. 9/10 School Girl Battle Royal For the Womens Championship Trish vs Stacy vs Victoria vs Jazz vs Gail vs Molly vs Nidia WOW these women are HOT!!!!!!!! ALL the women looked hot in this match especially Trish and Stacy. WE were the real winners in this match however it was quite good for a womens match. 8/10 Chain Match Kane vs Gene Snitsky Awesome match. Very brutal and bloody. Lots of emotion going into this match. Kane was more infuriated than i have ever seen him. Post match was brutal as Snitsky did to Kane what Kane did to HBK a few months ago with the chair. 9/10 Hair vs Hair Match Eugene vs Eric Bischoff Hilarious match. It lasted 2 minutes but the post match haircutting was hilarious. Coach has to wear a dress!!! Funny stuff here. 8/10 World Tag Team Championship Chris Benoit & Edge vs La Resistance Good match. Shawn Michaels had won the vote to face HHH for the World Title so in turn the 2 losers would face La Resistance for the tag titles. Edge abandons Benoit but Benoit forces Conway to tap and win the match on his own. 7.5/10 Lingerie Pillow Fight Match Christy vs Carmella Thankfully this was the last time Carmella appeared in WWE again. Christy was beautiful as usual and beat the crap out of Carmella. Probably the worst match of the night. 6/10 World Heavyweight Championship Triple H vs Shawn Michaels I have never seen a better performance in a match until i saw this match. HBK was actually hurt and gave one of the best performances of his career. It would have been great if HBK had have won but Edge comes out and spears HBK costing him the title. The match however is great thanks to HBK's performance. 9.5/10 Steel Cage Match Randy Orotn vs Ric Flair Very emotional match. Probably the best of the night. There was a lot of tension going into it and there was a lot riding on it. It was very bloody. In the end Orton RKO's Flair and then pins the Nature Boy. Flair and Orton then shake hands and hug each other in the ring. Perfect ending to the match. 10/10 Overall very impressive. I will pick it up when it comes out. Bad Blood review: 1.La resistons v.s beniot and edge 6/10 Beniots first match of the night and it was pretty lame. beniot and edge win by dq but dont get the titles 2.Chris jerico v.s tyson tomko 6/10 Boring!!! i mean come on a 6 miniut match and jerico wins after an insugury!!!! 3.Randy orton v.s shelton benjemen 9/10 simply put sick match would have gotten a 10/10 if shelton won 4. Fatel-4way women match ............HUUUUU WHAT oh i fell asleep 1/10 5. eugene v.s coach 5/10 bad match but coach got his ass kicked!! 6.Beniot v.s kane 9/10 Some people say this match sucked but i say it kicked BUTT beniots 2nd match of the night and he wins both 7.HHH v.s HBK 500000000000000/10 OH MY GOD THIS COULD BE THE GREATEST HELL IN A CELL MATCH EVER!!!!!!! THEY DIDNT GO ON TOP BUT THE ELBOW THROW THE TABLE OF THE LADDER FREAKING MADE UP FOR IT MATCH OF THE YEAR IN MY BOOK!!!!!!!!! Jericho vs. Tomko review: Chris Jericho v. Tyson Tomko Let me get this straight you have the greatest IC champ ever beaten TYSON TOMKO with an INSURGIRY! Give me a break. Jericho still rules.

Yeah, they'll turn him into the usual WWE big man who does spinebusters and side slams. But if they can retain some of his uniqueness, than he'll be a good pickup.

What about Amdrag stuff from Jan - March? Was he just doing New Japan stuff then? Any other picks, people?

PWG Offers "Free Admission!! (Just Kidding)" 11/13
JoeDirt replied to PsychoDriver's topic in General Wrestling
Great stuff as always, Paul, a really good read. -
Who has wrestled the most four star matches in 2004, and how many do you think they have? Obviously this is something subjective, but I just want to see the lists people come up with.
-
Velocity: 1) Funaki vs. Eddie Craven 2) Kenzo Suzuki vs. Hardcore Holly 3) Bashams vs. 2 jobbers 4) Booker T vs. Rene Dupree Smackdown: 1) Spike and Kidman vs. Rey and Chavo 2) Orlando Jordan vs. Josh Matthews 3) Eddie and RVD vs. Reigns and Jindrak 4) Big Show vs. Kurt Angle Plus, Tough Enough crap (it looks horrible), JBL talks about Survivor Series, Eddie's fourth team member is announced, and a Heidenreich/Taker segment. (Unless they edit it out or something)

Stuff I'm looking for, and stuff I want to sell
JoeDirt replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Lowered the prices for the stuff I'm trying to get rid of...PM me if you're interested in anything. -
Yes, Booker wrestling on VELOCITY going into his title match at Survivor Series... Wow. I don't know what else to say.
-
My own thoughts: -Sounds like a pretty boring "last show before the PPV" show. Big brawl to end the show with both teams in the ring, blah blah blah. -JBL says he'll leave Smackdown forever if he loses to Booker T? So is it safe to say that JBL is retaining? -I'm glad the Tough Enough stuff is so thoughtful and intriguing... Honestly, who thinks this crap is a good idea? -Josh Matthews gets another win...yay. -Why have Taker get his hands on Heidenreich on the last show before a PPV? Why not prolong it until the PPV to try and get at least SOME anticipation for that match?

Got the spoilers here: (Hope they're legit) http://www.pwrestlingnews.com/headlines/102072641.php Thanks to Glen Bratton for the following: This was the first wrestling event to ever be held at the new American Bank Center. Except for a small portion of the upper deck the building was full. It was an OK show overall. No Dark matches tonight. VELOCITY Funaki def. Eddie Craven with a tornado DDT. Hardcore Holly def. Kenzo Suzuki with the Alabama Slam. Booker T def. Rene Dupree with an ax kick. The Bashams def. Slam Shady and Russell Simpson These were two locals. Post match Danny and Doug argued all the way to the back. SMACKDOWN The Tough Enough contestants entered the ring and Al Snow announced that Nick Mitchell has been eliminated from the competition. Next we jumped into the Torrie Wilson Sex Test. The rules of the test were that each contestant would have to make out with a WWE diva for 15 seconds. Then the Diva would choose which contestant would make the best lover. Of course the Diva picked for this task was Mae Young. The lucky winner was Daniel Puder who then received a lap dance from Mae. Rey Mysterio walked in on Chavo having a conversation with someone Chavo claimed to be an old friend. Which made most people in the crowd think Chavo Classic because he works indie shots in town on a semi-regular basis. Rey Mysterio and Chavo def. Kidman and Spike when Rey hits Spike with a top rope splash. Orlando Jordan meets up with Josh Mathews backstage. He tells Josh that he respects him and then attacks him with 2 hard slaps. After the commercial break, Josh Mathews asks Teddy Long for a match against Orlando Jordan. JBL will be in Jordan's corner and Booker T will be in Mathews' corner. Josh Mathews def. Orlando Jordan after interference from Booker T. RVD, Eddie, and Big Show cut a promo concerning who will be the 4th member of their Survivor Series tag team. Eddie and RVD def. Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak after a double frogsplash. Carlito Caribbean Cool is on commentary during the match and spits apple at Michael Cole. Post match Eddie names John Cena the 4th member of his Survivor Series team. Carlito cuts a promo with Teddy Long on John Cena. Tough Enough voting segment. JBL vows to leave Smackdown forever if he loses to Booker T this Sunday at Survivor Series. Paul Heyman comes out and argues with Michael Cole and eventually shoves Cole. Tazz scares Heyman into the ring and out comes Heidenriech. Tazz removes his jacket and starts up the ring steps and out go the lights for the Undertaker. After a short brawl, Taker chokeslams, then tombstones, Heidenriech. The Big Show def Kurt Angle via DQ when Jindrak and Luther Reigns interfere. Both Survivor Series teams were at ringside for the match. Carlito laied out both Eddie and RVD with the chain, which led to the finish. Kurt Angle, Luther and Jindrak put Show in a submission hold. Finally Show was helped to the back.

Didn't see this posted anywhere... "After debuting at the Victory Road PPV, Randy Savage called up TNA officials this afternoon and pulled out of all future appearances. According to one source, Savage claimed the company had a "unsafe working environment" stemming from Savage's meeting backstage with Hulk Hogan at the PPV. According to the source, when Savage blew off Hogan backstage during their brief conversation, Hogan offered to step outside and settle their differences, or to let everything be in the past. Savage ignored the comment and walked away. Savage, who made a cameo appearance at the end of Victory Road, had been scheduled to appear at tonight's Impact! taping. The Turning Point PPV was originally scheduled to feature Randy Savage & Monty Brown & AJ Styles vs. Jeff Jarrett & The Outsiders in the main event on 12/5, but with Savage bolting, that is out the window. credit: PWInsider.com"

NOT LAMONT~!~!~!

Wow. That's all you can say for this one.
-
I don't know if they really explained it much other than he wanted to win the title, so he teamed up with Luger to double cross Hogan and take the belt from him. I also know that two weeks after Fall Brawl, where Sting won the title, he had a really good title match with Benoit on Nitro.
-
For some reason this made me laugh my ass off.
-
Tony Schiavone constantly called things "THE BIGGEST IN THE HISTORY OF OUR SPORT!" Jim Ross is great at overhyping things as we know, with great stuff like "DAMN YOU TRIPLE H! DAMN YOUR BLACK HEART TO HELL!" What's your favorite announcer overreaction or overhyping of something that you've ever heard? What did they just freak out trying to sell that you just weren't buying?
-
I taped RAW and kind of skimmed through it tonight. I liked Benoit's promo a lot. But did I miss anything, because didn't he say he was going to do something "unthinkable" to Edge tonight? What was that, wrestle him in a normal match?
