But it has oil, vinegar AND mayo! SIGN ME UP. Seriously, I've never heard of this. What meat DOES it have? Is it bigger, or different somehow from a normal sub? Please, enlighten us.

I think with the talent exchange, the best bet might be someone coming over from Smackdown, just because I agree with you that ECW needs some new blood. Noble would be a good feud. I'd personally like to see a feud with Tommy, down the line, that would lead to a heel turn, although I don't know what ECW face Punk would feud with then.

The "Batista is easier to beat" excuse doesn't hold water with me, because if that's the case, there was no reason for the post-match beatdown of Taker. I'll buy the "getting to Taker before Taker came after him" line of thought, but with a couple caveats. One, Edge didn't look pleased with himself; he looked angry, in his facial expressions, as though he had a personal issue with Taker. The "I'm just a little bitter" promotional spots line up with this. Two, in the world of kayfabe, Edge didn't "injure" Taker the way, say, MVP injured Hardy. He roughed him up, hit him with a chair, but nothing that would cause Taker to be weakened long term. If anything, this only provokes Taker, causing Edge to be more on Taker's radar than he'd be if he had left him alone. Maybe I'm overthinking; then again, I wish the booking team put MORE thought into this sort of thing. We'll see what Thursday brings in terms of an explanation, but for the time being I'm not really seeing the logic in Edge's actions.

Wow. Watching Santino's old gimmick makes me a little sad; it looks entertaining, and the guy actually looks like he'd have decent matches if they let him do some of those moves.

HA! At least that'd be something to go off of.

I'm really annoyed by the way WWE is promoting "can you break the code?" Ignore the fact that T3H D4MN INT3RN3T broke it weeks ago. They've put as many Jericho references as they can into it, effectively killing the mystery. There's no "code" to break.

I thought the main was pretty bad, myself. Slow, plodding, uninteresting. Good finishing sequence, but not much beforehand. I also wasn't a fan of the way Edge returned, mainly because he has no kayfabe reason to hate the Undertaker. He came off as a mega heel, though. Good show overall. Opener was hot, lots of great spots to pop the crowd and set a tempo. SS match had a nice flow to it, and the WWE Title match had a lot of cool spots which worked within the stipulations of the match. I'd give MOTN honors to either the WWE or ECW title matches, take your pick, but nothing was outright bad (save the main in my book, but most people seem to have liked it, so).

I don't mind this schedule. 14 is less than one every four weeks, although they don't have it set up that way, but it doesn't really feel like overload. Plus, the two "extra" shows (ONS/Cyber) are themed, so there's added incentive to buy (in theory). NYR didn't have that, so it's probably good it got the axe. EDIT: No, 14 is more than one every four weeks. My bad. Still, I don't mind the current setup. They could, in theory, axe ONS, since the rules are ignored in half of all matches anyway, but I won't complain too loudly at this.

Rashad Evans versus Michael Bisping to headline UFC 78
Hoff replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Say someone was poor, or just cheap. Anyone know a good way to see the undercard bouts? -
If they run an injury angle, I think they can stretch it to Mania. Have Matt get his comeback match against MVP at Rumble, win by DQ, then you just gotta find some way to get past No Way Out (which admittedly might be tricky) and boom, blowoff @ Mania.

I always had trouble with handicap matches on No Mercy. I tried more than a few tactics, but it seems like once you get taken down, you're easy prey. Quick Man's stage in Mega Man II always drove me batty. FUCKING BEAMS STOP HITTING ME!! I always refused to use the Time Stopper b/c I knew what it'd do to Quick Man, so in a way it's my own fault, but I hated that level for so long. I hated fighting Mike Tyson (or Mr. Dream) in Punch-Out! until a few years ago. I finally beat him, but little kid Hoff yelled and cried many times fighting that asshole.

Best use of Rick Roll in a long time. Nicely done, Mecca.

That looks fake to me. You can totally see the shadows.

I heard more of a New York accent than a Canadian one, but to be fair, I'd wager CNN's voice distortion techniques are more advanced than "slow it down lol!"
-
To be fair, it was largely a means to an end. They needed to get Michael, and Dwight, out of the office for some reason to allow Jim to step into Michael's role.

Oh, fuck off. Ha! Aw, cheech, let's be friends.

Wow, really? If you've had that sand in your vagina the whole time, you might want to call your gynecologist. Story: I made some joke thread in GC, snuffbox called it lame, I sent him that PM, he called me l4m3 and what not, words were exchanged, and we went our separate ways. Little did I know the grudge would be harbored for what I'm pretty sure is years (plural) by now.

Point to me, using direct quotes if possible, the part where I call it a brilliant idea. I ask you to use direct quotes because you can't.

Are you nominating yourself, for defending Marvin? Because that is pretty stupid. Actually, it's more just futile. Like trying to put out a forest fire with a garden hose.

Oh, fuck it WOULD be the page cutoff. And it rocked, IIRC.

But, try not to answer #4.

Question which doesn't warrant a thread! Which "Carol of the Bells" do you guys prefer: 1. Trans-Siberian Orchestra 2. Mannheim Steamroller 3. original 4. shut up h0m0f4g

Oh, man. So for a long time, I've been a proponent of "if you don't like someone's post, scroll past it." And I do still think it holds water. It's easy. But, having spent more time in the WWE folder as of late, I decided to give the ignore list a go and see if it improved things any. And man, it is wonderful. I've got like eight people on it right now, and my visits up atop the board are much more fulfilling. Anytime I see someone repeatedly piss me off, BAM, right on the list. It's worked so well I've made it a boardwide thing. And I'd like to suggest everyone else give it a try. I mean, everyone's got those posters that they just can't stand...why not cut them off at the pass? Hell, I hope the people who don't like me (perish the thought!) throw me on there, because it's gonna make TSM more enjoyable for everyone involved. Here's to you, ignore list. Excelsior.

It looks interesting, but corny in places. I heard the same story Mole did, but I'm still gonna check it out. I like that Rock just got billed as Dwayne Johnson, since that seems to be something he wants, and I'm a big fan of his.
