  1. So. - JOSIE BAKER AIN'T NOTHIN' TA FUCK WITH!! Cute opening promo from our new GM, getting her over as one not to be played with. And OMG a Kill Bill reference. I thought I was going to die. SO excellent. - "even the diagonals." Awesome. This was good shit with the Saints, Corny, and Holly. Holly showed some more emotion; in fact, the whole thing was emotionallt charged, and Synth was GREAT comic relief. The ending was hectic and a GREAT segue into our fist match. Very well done. - Cool match, I liked it. Some interesting spots, some cool stuff with suplexes. My favorite part was probably the slingshot suplex reversed into the German with the rollthrough...noice. I also liked THE ICE HEART! Very cool. - Neat little "welcome back" promo for the Lightning Crew. I laughed. - Cappa's such a throwback for me. Just a lot of old-school fan hating and cheap heat, and that sort of "big" humor. I like him, a lot. I enjoyed this promo. - WHO OR WHAT IS BRAD BLITZ. I want this guy on EVERY SHOW. I enjoyed the handicap match, but if could say one thing that I'd hope would be constructive. It was odd for me to see P.R. doing Cena's moves. He's supposed to be a big ROck fan, right? And idolized him, patterened himself after him? Right? So...why Cena's stuff? To me, it just seemed very out of place. Still, an enjoyable and well-written match. The Lightning Crew, sadly, doesn't seem built to last this go-around. - Nice cover for last week's Phenom shenanigans. Now, when I say "nice" I don't mean it the way people mean it....but it was good for a laugh. The Docs...let us say are in the PROCESS of winning me over. This was good. I liked Pigley trying to get to the next question after JINGUS showed up. - Okay, that Rodez interview was NICE. I like that he's not ashamed. Moreover, it was in character. I was feelin' it. - "Spend Time With COD" is my new desktop. Somewhere along the line, and I'm not sure where, but I became a HUGE Alix Spezia mark. I can just picture her in that hat, too. "When he beat Drek Stone it was like they beat Drek Stone," I loved that line. Nice match that put over the tag champs, as well as Cappa's attitude. - Ha, Drek is scared. Whoever wrote this of you two, and I think it was you Ken, I liked it. - I WANT A CHEESE STEAK! I think I'll go to Hooters after I get paid next week. anyway, good promo by the Dude, I like the subtle humor very reminiscent of Foley in his "dude" days. Then there was a midget. Anyway, it was nice. - I love that episode of the Simpsons. Cool, but kind of spotty match here. I realize it was done to put the Boiz over, but it left me a little flat. Maybe it's personal preference, as I was WAY more into the more technically-savvy Black T/NNMX match from earlier. I DID like JCE holding Synth back. What could it mean? Is he just looking out for Synth? Is he pissed at Logan? Poor, poor Logan. - The Candie/Josie promo was very good, and I enjoyed the intervention of S**** K****. Calling Zack a pain was a great way to convey real emotion by Candie. Well played. So...yeah. Everything else was mine except the finish of the six-man, which NYU rocked and I already told him as much. So leave me feedback.
  2. Frig, I've been using the Fujiwara armbar all along, it's a staple of Chris Stevens' ground-based offense. Fool.
  3. The Zero Hour theme shall henceforth be the Foo Fighters' "All My Life" Any who wish to oppose this may challenge me in the pit of despair. But seriously, it's a chill song and it works. No Phil Collins. Especially THAT Phil Collins.
  4. Dammit...this guy was in the other thread and he said his name was Johnny Dangerous. IT HAPPENED!!
  5. I SEE YOU JOHNNY DANGEROUS!! *marks*
  6. Ken, the moving units factoring in would be tiiiiiight. I'd never even think to do that.
  7. I LOVE THOSE~! Detailed feedback...hopefully tonight, we'll see.
  8. So, anyway. Fallout from the ending of last week's six-man tag? Will Axel and Crystal make up? Will Hoff apologize for ignoring his friends? Will Drek piss someone off? PROBABLY!! Plus Chris Stevens IN ACTION!! ...if anyone wants a match with Stevens, PM me.
  9. Only fitting that the show eminate from Cocoa Beach, Fla. FURTHERMORE~! It's gonna be a HeldDown BEACH PARTY!! The ring will be outside, ala WCW's spring break programs, and the fans will be set up in makeshift rafters at ringside. HOWEVER, the entrance ramp will be an extra-long ramp that will connect to a fitness club that the OAOAST will be renting out, allowing us to run skits inside as usual, in offices, locker rooms, etc. Basically, use the special setup or don't as you see fit, but the show'll be outdoors. The forecast, I hear, is 78 degrees and clear, with moderate humidity. A great day for a great HeldDOWN~! Ken, if you want to let Josie take credit for this idea, it's all good. Anything I can do to help. Oh, snap! Everyone also remmeber that we'll be just three days removed from Valentine's Day! Keep it in mind!!
  10. I suppose it's a faux pas for me to complain about the show not being up.
  11. Listen, I don't want to amke a big deal out of this, but the whole spinebuster thing...not cool. Plus, I'm tired of hearing about how much you hate Phenom. He's a straight guy, even if he did come at me. So yeah. Hope we're still tight, but lately you've just been annoying. Sorry, man.
  12. I did, though.
  13. OAOAST Heavyweight Championship of the World Drek Stone © vs. Hoff
  14. I already like this "Johnny Dangerous" guy based on name alone.
  15. Oh, SNAP~! You're so in for a disappointment. By the way, buddy, ol' pal, I was thinkinf that I could write our match....
  16. I know the anonymous person reading this right now is crying. 'Fess up. Such an emotional song... *sniff*
  17. Known you all my life At least that's how it seems Never known another way Of living out a dream Now I know you're leaving me And I'll never understand Before I let you walk away I have one last demand.... Tell me a lie And say that you won't go Look in my eyes And hold me even though I realize you have to walk away No more yesterday... You always were my angel Flying high above Always looking out for me Angel that I love Now my dreams are fading Like age old photographs They hurt too much to look at now Reminders of our past Tell me a lie And say that you won't go Look in my eyes And hold me even though I realize you have to walk away No more yesterday... Maybe we could stay together... Maybe it could last forever... Maybe if you just tell me a lie... Maybe then we'll never say.... Goodbye... Interestingly enough, I have that on my MP3 player right now.
  18. OAOAST CHAMPIONSHIP Hoff (x2) -- February 27th, 2005- Drek Stone -- November 28, 2004-February 27, 2005 Hoff -- October 31, 2004-November 11, 2004 (Title vacanted due to injury) You know it.
  19. NNMX vs. The Saints: great match. Fast action, and a cool finish. I marked out for Beautiful Bobby and Sweet Stan, gotta say. X-Title 4-Way: I LOVED Bryte just ignoring Malibu at the beginning. Just great. Leon just chilling was good, too. Very fast paced match with some cool spots, some cool countermoves and sequences. Panther's situation was well-played. This was the pleasant surprise of the evening for me, not because of the writers, but because generally I think four-ways can get kind of messy and muddled and this didn't and it was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Good to see Rodez on top, he needed the win. FUCK~. Nice women's title match, and the shortness of time was played up very well. The match felt hectic. Good finish as well, if predictable. OFF DA CHAIN~! Trivia time: Tazz is actually my favorite announcer right now. I find his boisterous smart aleckery funny, and he puts the workers over. Thw World Title match. I can't heap enough priase onto our champion. I don;t think anyone conveys emotion and anguish better than Mr. NYU. I felt the pain in this match, and the anger. There were some cool spots, to be sure, but what stood out was just that, the emotion and the passion involved. I definitely think it's Drek's best defense of the OAOAST Title, and solidified him as champion -- not that he wasn;t deserving before, as he was, but this was like THE "money match" that made him look like a star -- and a truly dangerous human being. I loved it. Match of the ngiht in a walk, no disrespect to anyone else, and MOTY thus far. Admittedly, it is January. Well....February, now. Okay, so I'm late. Sue me. My part of the Rumble wae easy; Adam had the hard part, the finish. He handled it really well, writing each spot in great detail, coveying the emotion well, and the whole event built to a climax. A LOT went down, especially with the Puerto Rican and Panther, T.O.E., and Axel and Crystal. It was a breeze to read, and I loved the finish as well. Good stuff, man. So there you go. NYU and Frig, stop hounding me.
  20. Wits: Christopher. I know your ungodly last name, and saying it out loud, I think it flows really well.
  21. !!! God, I have a social life. Get up out mah grill. Maybe tomorrow night after the Super Bowl. Maybe.
  22. That was actually more geared toward the Phenom, who just seemed kind of bellowy before this. Geddon didn't seem much of a talker at all. It's just a radical shift, on the whole. It's perfectly acceptable if it stays this way, though. If Phenom or Geddon revert back to bellowing later, THEN we'll have an issue.
  23. This is the kind of tenacity that makes a man a champion.
  24. Part four. The DoC promo -- and how odd is it having CoD and DoC -- but it was good, I liked it, I got it. It seeemed odd that Devin and Phenom were suddenly much more articulate, but I'll let it slide for good writing's sake. I liked the altercation with Black T to a point, but having physical contact is more likely to initiate a feud, and having the manager take Dan Black out is kind of degrading to black. And of course, NEVER use people's characters without asking. That's not okay. The Hoff/Axel segment was the best thing ever, you don't have to say it. Zack, I gotta say, I'm a fan of linking to the song/video, but having that whole page come up was kind of annoying. If there was a way to use personal webspace somehow, that might be better, though I'm aware there's some limitations. Anyway, very nice touch. Great match, great TV match moreover, in that it didn't have to be a thirty minute marathon to be high in action and well built. Nice touch with Axel, and it played on the earlier tension. Very nice finish, and I *really* liked the "count from the fans." Well played. The LATER Cal/Dude segment did a LOT for me as far as clarification. I was hoping I could get that out earlier, but Frig got his undies in a twist. Booooooo. But yeah, I liked it. I like the Dude's violent streak. Zack's new shirt is cool! GREAT tag match, and great use of not just commentary but well-timed commentary, that enhanced the match while seeming in the flow of the match. It's something I value, pride myself on doing well, and look for in other people's work. The action was great, a little slower than AP I felt, but very smart, sound, logical, and well-done. I love that "Chimera Suplex Sequence," BTW. Great match with a great finish, possibly spurring some tension in TOE, as well as between CoD and the GPX. I look forward to where both of those situations go. So yeah, very good show, some big new developments and a lot of good action.
  25. - Standard GPX match which is meant as high praise, if you feel me. Lots of cool spots. The docs are slowly winning me over. I *liked* the Calvin/Dude promo (I thought it was That 70's Guy?), and I'm excited about the feud, but it felt a little out of left field, to be honest. I know Cal needs someone to feud with, but why Dude? Still, storng promo pimping the changes in Szechstein. PR/"Time's Up" served it's purpose. Good advancement of the Panther/Puerto Rican storyline. I'm not sure if I'm happy about the LC's return or not, though. I liked the idea of just PR, with Popick as manager. We'll see where it goes. CATTY Zack/Crystal/Axel promo. Axel and Crystal might not be built to last, sad to say. I'm glad to see J. Arthur back. The W&H guys were addressed, as was father in a BIG way. Good promo. Okay, I've officially been given a two-minute warning from the library (OMG SAMOAN ASSAULT~!), so this is it for now, part four (4!) later tonight, hopefully.
