I'm afraid of what's happening in my pop can right now. I've been drinking it, it's about halfway gone...and now the pop left in the can is splashing. I mean, it's been sitting there for a few minutes, undisturbed, and now I hear it splashing. I have no idea what to think. I want no part of this can.

The Israelis are fools for not realizing what a 20th-level paladin could do for their infantry. FOOLS~! Back like ten years ago, or whenever the switch from D&D to AD&D was made (that's just when I was big into it), it was still mostly pen, paper, and imagination. We had books upon books, and I thought it was a HUGE upgrade from the board game styled original. Now, I guess, it's just become like a bad version of the original, or like a Warhammer knockoff, y'know? And there's rules for playing WITHOUT miniatures, but apparently they're very half-assed. So sayeth the roommate. I haven't played since...10th grade? So a good seven, eight years. But I did pick up a Players' Handbook when I was in B&N last, and boy KKK, you're right, they added about a million pointless dice rolls. //nerd

You know what, look at B. Brian's original post to see what more of the cultural aspect is all about. Not being Irish, I guess I'm more an outsider looking in. There IS more to it than booze and groping.

I believe Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland, though I may be wrong. Whatever the holiday originally entailed, it's now become a day for drinking and wearing green. Everybody drinks, Irish or not (unless they're sexy like YNA), and wears green. If you're not wearing green, prepare to be pinched by drunken Irishmen. Also, you'll hear the phrase "kiss me, I'm Irish" thrown around a fair deal, and today it might actually work. So yeah, basically a big drunken cultural celebration. It is a big deal, though. I know buses in Minneapolis are free today, and some cities even hold parades. Bars are generally open earlier too. It's a big deal. I've always laughed at St. Patty's being in the middle of Lent, given the high percentage of Irish Catholics, but I'm sure there's some significance to the date. Hopefully someone else'll know more.

The backstage promo was classic Dude, as much as he can have classic stuff this early, and the feud was built nicely. I'm a little drunk so apologies if this doesn't make sense. You can put as many as you want, but too many gets kind of annoying, I think. A lot of people think they're OMG LAMEZOR...but as long as they're teams you're really into, it's not so bad. Matt: I have the same problem with Firefox, although it never really bothered me so I let it go.

Some things that might help: 1. The word "please." 2. Making a few more posts before this request, so people know who you are. 3. Source material. What pics do you want used? You're probably SOL anyway, though. I haven't seen anyone make anyone else a banner in some time. You could always offer reciprocation, of course; like, if you have, say, a classic match saved on your HD, offer to send it to whoever makes you the banner. Just throwing all this out there.
