He's been hyping how the next will be a new era with hardly anything returning but he said the same thing about MK4 and then MKDA so who knows.

Since March 1st I've played more than 4,000 two player matches of Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection. More MK Armageddon endings are up on Youtube. Kitana, Mileena, Raiden and a few others. They're all terrible. They are like 20 seconds long and nothing interesting happens. It seems like the whole story is everyone trying to race to get to the top of this pyramid to fight Blaze and the winner gets whatever they want. So all the endings are "what if" scenarios that will probably be ignored in the next game. Supposedly this game was supposed to end the current series but it sure doesn't seem like it. There's no finality in any of these endings.

Yeah, it's for Sega CD. It's a decent sequel. Pretty much the same but there's like twice as much content as the first one.

Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Darkside has the craziest fatalities.

SM's gameplay is not that good. It has a lot of moves but they're all pointless.

......you "unlock" his other legs? That has got to be wiki vandalism. I think I'll get the Shao Kahn/Sindel box. In Shaolin Monks they had Cage kill Goro and now Cage vs. Goro is one of the rivalries that gets a box for MKDA. Even though it was Liu Kang who beat Goro in the game story are we just supposed to accept that they're rivals now because everyone liked the Goro/Cage fight scene in the first movie? I like how Midway just randomly picks things from the movies to add to the game story without any explination. Like we're supposed to consider the movie "non canon" except a few things that don't even really make sense in the context of the game. Liu Kang took Goro's title, why would Goro even care about Johnny Cage?

Scorpion's MK Armageddon ending is up on youtube. Looks REALLY lame. No pictures or anything, just him doing moves while the annoucer talks and text scrolls. It's short and doesn't actually resolve his story, it's actually a cliff hanger. So much for this being a big final battle that ties everything up. The ending is comically lazy. It's like MK II for Genesis or something. They couldn't even be bothered to draw at least ONE picture. I knew this is how MKA would be. I have no idea why anyone bought into Ed Boon's hype again. They couldn't do a game right with 25 characters, they certainly wouldn't do one with 60. And Khameleon is not in the game. She was lame but she did have a story and should have been in there if they are truely serious about explaining all unanswered questions. Strange how Chameleon and Meat are in it but she is not. I wonder if they just forget about her.

Hah, that should be good. I can't wait to see what mystical deus ex machina explination they come up with. They should just not say anything at all. Why bother? Everyone knows the real reason for the design change and anything they come up with is going to be artificial.

At least changing Reptile was to be a more original, interesting and unique. With that they were taking a character who had previously been a thrown together palatte swap into his own design. This is just them not being able to do a centuar properly in 3D and taking an easier way out.
-
In Mortal Kombat Armageddon Motaro has 2 legs. Instead of a centuar he is a human with fur legs and hoves. It looks like he has a goat for a lower body. So basically the entire point of the Motaro character is gone. That has to be like, biggest corner cut in MK which is really saying something. I KNEW they would never truely make a game with that much content and characters right, they'd be lazy and do whatevery they could to cut corners and make it easier.

Noob is the Sub-Zero from the original MK, the older brother of the current Sub. UMK3's Classic Sub-Zero is thought to be him but when he takes off the mask it's someone else who's identity is never revealed.
-
If they really want everyone they need to put in UMK3 Classic Sub-Zero and explain who that was. I doubt they will, I doubt they even remember.

I like how it hypes that battles are fun. Was that not a feature in the first two? ITEM SHOPS! What innovation.

I'm getting that way. I used to buy a new game like every other week. Now I buy one once once every other month. I spend too much time/money playing just a few games to buy everything I'm interested in. I probably shouldn't have bought a 360 and gone PS3 only this gen.

Yes yes.....the time release was great. Especially in a game like T5 where most of them were people we hadn't seen since Tag. One of the best parts about a new game or update is how everyone can whine about their main being toned down. I love the dramatic first impressions where everyone is freaking out, especially for a character like Julia who's community has been all bitter since Tag. The card system is the best thing introduced in a long time. I just wish Julia had better items. Enough with the generic indian stuff. I also like having a win record. Even though mine is pretty bad now and I'll never get past the Dans. This year since I started traveling to play Tekken I've had more memories and fun than any other game ever. Nothing comes close.
-
Genei Jin! I haven't played that game since DR came out. Best 2D fighter ever though. If I was going to play something other than Tekken it'd be that again.

Besides Gill, who is a boss, what is cheap in SF III 3rd Strike?

Crab game doesn't make for an excting launch either. One launch being weak doesn't excuse the other. Don't assume because I say something negative about Wii that I support something else. Nintendo's rhetoric for the past year has been nothing but hype about how everything is different now not "ok we'll launch with the same old same old and then uh, the real stuff comes later....just wait!". The fact that people are actually excited about this lineup just shows my point that all the talk about innovation from fans doesn't really matter, everyone just wants a new Nintendo system. Which is fine but just SAY SO instead of repeating Nintendo's PR. You can't talk about how gaming isn't original anymore and you need Wii because it's so different and then get excited about Metroid Prime 3 and SSB 3.

Licsensed shovelware, ports and sequels. That's so innovative and revolutionary. Nintendo was right, the bounderies of gaming have been broken. Nothing will ever be the same.

I remember the JP on SNES that had the FPS levels. The best JP game is The Lost World arcade.
-
I had that. It was impossible. I also used to rent the special edition or whatever it was called that came out a while after, which was the exact opposite...very easy.

Slam Masters is good. It's by Capcom and has Mike Haggar which by itself is enough to make it worthy. Andrew likes it too, I think everyone that's heard of it likes it.
-
Well I liked it. Not as much as the first but more than X2. I'll get the special one if it's not much more money. The reason the class thing was never in other movies was because Callisto wasn't. It's not like that was some official ranking, her power let her sense other mutants and she called them that. She said Pyro and Magneto were class 4 and Jean was class 5. I don't expect much from the alternate endings. Probably just short changes to the regular ending since some minor stuff was filmed then changed at the last minute. Like one will be Beast staying at the mansion instead of joing the UN.

They never do explain how he is back. His story mode makes it seem like it might be someone else but then the very end implies it's the old one alive somehow.

It's a mistake. That is Dragunov.
