I would take too easy over too hard any day but a nice balance is best. There should be a threat of dying without the frustration of having to repeat the same thing over again. I like things like infinite continues and frequent checkpoints. Like with DMC 3 and Gaiden the fighting was exciting but the fear of having to start the entire mission over again lead to me buying tons of health potions and repeating the same effective attacks.

I am paranoid about every game being too hard, which is weird since I beat Ninja Gaiden and DMC 3.

If Yukes leaves something like that in it's their fault. I even used a multitap to do the elimation chamber and ecw challenges easily.

I got HL2 for Xbox at Gamestop on Friday. Haven't played it yet though. Red Dead Revolver is pretty good mindless action. Way of the Samurai is awesome. I just played through that again the other day. 2 was not nearly as good, it was too non-linear. In the first you would always get a coherent story no matter what you did, in 2 if you don't follow the paths you just get stuck wandering around forever. I can't believe someone is just now noticing Nintendo systems are driven by Nintendo's first party support.

I don't think anyone actually cared about any of the GC connectivity. People want Jake the Snake. I braved the black friday crowds in search of a 360 but left empty handed.

The shortage isn't going to be that bad. I know at least Meijer and Best Buy are going to get weekly shipments. If a crappy store like Meijer is then EB, Gamestop, Best Buy, Walmart and the other big stores should get a bunch of shipments too. MS is planning on selling 3 million by the end of the year. They must know they can get those out there.

Sonic Adventure was one of those games that seemed better at the time because it was a launch game. SA2 was bad. I remember spending FOREVER on the Knuckles level in the tomb or whatever looking for those gems. When I was younger it didn't seem so bad but looking back the Sonic games have always had horrible presentation and art. Sonic seems like he was created by a panel of executives trying to make a mascot and his "talking animal with attitude" image is lame. Knuckles might be the worst, being the cliche "loose cannon". Oh wait I forgot about Shadow, nothing could be worse. And I hate the music in SA series. The singing is incredibly cheesy.
