I am convinced Killer Instinct's combo system inspired Capcom and pretty much everyone else.

DKC had solid level design to go along with the graphics, sound and fun writing. Still a good game. The retroactive hate is annoying.

I had to train for years with monks just to learn to block in VF.

TTT had 34. DR also had 34(or 35 if you count Jinpachi). Plus DR is a much more interesting roster, like not being filled with Jacks. Everyone has evolved since then with tons of new moves and animations too. The only "clones" in DR were Christie/Eddy and Mokujin. It's not hard to imagine T6 having around 40 characters who are all different. But what about rival VF? Oh yeah, it still doesn't even have 20 characters...and where is Taka? No where to be seen. Meanwhile Ganryu is still in Tekken d/f+3ing his way to victory.

She looks cool. I love that stance she goes into after the throw. Reminds me of Voldo but...much less creepy.

People are now saying Leo is a girl! Supposedly the director said so in an interview. Leo's style is supposed to be the same as Akira's. Maybe she'll have a JF knee attack so the press can ramble on about that when talking about depth. There are more then those two. They're hyping up how it has the biggest roster of characters ever and more new ones will be shown soon. King is so lame. At least get rid of the mask already. Armor King is a BIT cooler looking. Too bad he totally sucks in DR and nobody plays him.

Trailer At the AOU arcade show Namco debuted a new trailer that is much better then the E3 debacle. 2 new characters! A new girl with a style described as "spider like" and a new guy who....looks like a female Rock Howard. Also freatures Jack getting customized with tons of armor and Bryan firing a shotgun!!! The greatest game in the universe comes out at the end of the year in arcades and PS3 in 2008. WHY am I posting this? I don't know. Will anyone but Jer care? Of course this will only be big news at TSM if it's annouced as no longer PS3 exclusive.......

Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection. On arcade, PS3 and PSP! Mario Kart Arcade GP. Not actually that good but it's something to play and the camera thing is funny. That's it. I don't think I've played a console game since Gears of War. I will get VF5 though.

Little guy? Nintendo isn't a little guy. Anyway, the Wii has not beaten the 360. Toy comment aside, it's basically the same thing Nintendo and their fans were saying early last year. Remember before E3 and the Sony doom and gloom the standard spin on Wii was that yes, it wouldn't do as well as PS3 and 360, but that was okay because it wasn't competing with them anyway. This was the explination for the hardware, the name, the potential lack of sales, and anything else negative about Wii. It wasn't until fairly recently, when Nintendo actually had a shot, that it was ok to compare Wii to MS and Sony.

No, now they're saying the English version won't be out till March so I gave up waiting and got the import. They changed him quite a bit. The stun is now a reversal. You can still do it from anywhere but the window is small and he has a ton of recovery if it whiffs. When it does hit they are not stunned very long and WGF doesn't fully launch. The best thing about him is that he can now do his fireball on the ground! You can also now low parry the fireball attacks from anywhere on screen. Both look as ridiculous as it sounds.

All I know is PS3 is now my main system. Playing as Jinpachi is fun.

.....how is that a good deal? That's at best like, breaking even or something. 5 years ago Gamecube launched at 200 dollars. In 2006 Nintendo is selling Gamecube based hardware with a new controller and a game for 250. This is a deal? I could see this being an acceptable price but a deal? Worth praising Nintendo over? Yeah, I think no.

You didn't get a game for free, you know. The Japanese paid less with no game. I don't like PS3's price because I don't care about Blu Ray. It's not "overpriced", I guess it's a fair value. 360 being 400 was ok.

They're about equal in power. PS3 has a Blu Ray player built in but 360 has a HD-DVD ad on you can buy. They share a lot of games but each has it's own exclusives. Which is superior just depends on what kind of games you play, how much you're willing to spend, and if you're interested in Blu Ray. If you're going to spend that much you should just do some research online and find out which has the most games you want to play now and will be out in the future.

It's not cheap for what you're getting. That's why Reggie was bragging about how much profit they're making. Good for their business, not good for you. It's less expensive then what MS and Sony are selling. That doesn't make it cheap or a great value.

I've seen nothing to suggest Nintendo has changed their ways. They still charge insane prices for their products. A few years ago they sold NES games on GBA for full price. They are charging 250 for Wii, which is only not an outrage because everyone else is worse. They're still behind with online play. They still update their portable hardware and resell it bi-yearly. They still have mysterious "shortages". The only thing they don't do anymore is bully 3rd parties and that's because they have no leverage anymore. Old man Yamuachi retired but it's the same company with the same philosphy.

Blu Ray in PS3 is the new Nintendo sticking with carts in 1996.
