I am hoping Milwaukee holds on as well, as they were one of the first round upsets I had on my bracket. I still can't believe I picked Pitt over Pacific though.
-
The Komijul needed someone to be a role model to all the kids out there that like the Komijul, and who better a role model than this guy.... That's why we select...Milton Bradley!
-
Curiously, how much longer does bravesfan have to make his pick?
-
I am also glad they won. I don't see the big deal about them being in there. They had to beat the two best teams in their conference just to get to the play in game, where they took out the SWAC champion. Why not let them enjoy their 15 minutes of fame? It will likely end against North Carolina as it is. Anyway, in NIT action, Holy Cross knocked off Notre Dame. I was hoping Notre Dame would have at least get by round 1 of the NIT, but I guess it wasn't to be. Good to see Holy Cross advance though.

Google seems to be working for me.

I'll attend. What will the room be called?

Also, Delaware St. came back to defeat Hampton 55-53 to win the MEAC.

Sadly, I think a watched a few episodes of that. Good god was it terrible.

The Komijul selects... 2B Tadahito Iguchi!

That prediction is looking like it will come true a few days early. At present, BC is getting thrashed by West Virginia 52-36 in the second half. If WV hangs on, this should basically lock them into the tournament. EDIT: West Virginia is up 8 with under a minute left, so this one should be over. Meanwhile, Maryland looks to playing like they want to go to the NIT against Clemson. Sorry NoCalMike. EDIT #2: West Virginia defeats BC 78-72, and Clemson knocks off Maryland 84-72. I am still trying to figure why the heck did Maryland foul them with 3 seconds left? Geez, you're down 10 with three seconds left, give it up already!

And it looks like Montana will be getting the bid from the Big Sky conference. And Notre Dame lost to Rutgers? That's embarrassing.

I am not really blaming you, Marvin. I can understand about slow periods, as I have noticed that this draft either has 4 or 5 picks all within a few minutes of each other, or like 1 or 2 in a few hours. I am just saying, in a general sense, if we found a way to cut down on the slow periods then things would move a bit quicker, as it seems one slow period leads to another and so on. I just used you as an example. since it was current. Just wanted to clear that up.

I disagree. I think Flik just needs to encourage the use of PM. For instance, if you know you aren't going to be Online for awhile and there are 5 picks until yours, you just send Flik your top 5 or 6 or what have you. It's like right now we're waiting for Marvin. As it is, pretty much everyone who has a pick coming up has been on TSM around an hour or two ago. Assuming Marvin had been around, we'd probably be at bravesfan's pick about now. Considering him, Bored, myself, cuban, iggy, and smell the ratings are usually on during the later evenings, we'd likely have a round done by morning. I honestly think we can get this done this way, we just need to find a way to make sure no one gums up the works, so to speak.

Yeah, but how can we get together everyone for an AIM chat if we can't quite seem to get them together here? It just seems like it could be tricky since we have a bunch of people in different time zones and what not. I just see it going disastrously, especially with the amount of picks we still have to make. EDIT: I like Raz's idea. Maybe Flik can cut the time down to like 6 or 8 hours, instead of 12 as well.

It's nice to see that a player I have had my eye on for the past two rounds is still there. With that, the Komijul selects... Kelvim Escobar! He looks so excited to be on the team...
-
I feel lucky to get Furcal. I was actually considering him very strongly in the last round, and was shocked that he was still available in this round. Thus far, a lot of the players that I have been considering have still been available, I hope my luck continues to last on that front...
-
Looking to fill in more of their infield, the Komijul selects... Rafael Furcal! Cuban Linx is next.
-
Didn't somebody already take Livan Hernadez?
-
Actually, it looks like Rider-Niagara in the finals. I really hope the Purple Eagles pull this one out. I just can't cheer for a team named Rider in the NCAA's.
-
To be fair, they were a 7th seed. They somehow pulled off an upset of the 2nd seeded Liberty Flames before beating the 6th seeded High Point Panthers to get to their finals. It was kind of expected that they would be mauled by a team like Winthrop. As an aside, I do hope High Point gets to the NCAA tournament one of these years. I could only imagine the puns should they pull off an upset.
-
While pondering the question, "Whatever happened to Bill Pulsipher?" the Komijul came up with their next pick: Jason Isringhausen! Cuban_Linx is up next.

Yahoo Auto Draft with Standard Categories. 12 Teams C Ramon Hernández (SD - C) 1B Justin Morneau (Min - 1B) 2B Mark Loretta (SD - 2B) 3B Adrian Béltre (Sea - 3B) SS Miguel Tejada (Bal - SS) OF Adam Dunn OF Moises Alou (SF - OF) OF Carlos Lee (Mil - OF) Util David Wright (NYM - 3B) BN Lyle Overbay (Mil - 1B) BN Casey Blake (Cle - 3B) BN Marquis Grissom (SF - OF) SP Jake Peavy (SD - SP) SP Rich Harden (Oak - SP) RP Jeremy Affeldt (KC - SP,RP) RP Empty P Kelvim Escobar (LAA - SP) P Jeremy Bonderman (Det - SP) P Al Leiter (Fla - SP) BN Doug Davis (Mil - SP) BN Matt Morris (StL - SP) Unfortunately, I will have to shore up the RP position. My autodraft blew its load with drafting hitters, while neglecting the RP position. Some teams have 3 closers on their team, while I got KC's closer and Todd Worrell. On the plus side, I should be able to get the first closer that comes available, considering everyone else in the league has at least two.

You'd think they would have at least mentioned that it was voted the "Great Raw match ever" on Raw X. I guess they want to forget the abomination that was Raw X as much as everyone does.

Most likely, Vern. He is usually only around in the afternoons.
