Louisville losing doesn't surprise me. They were having trouble beating BYU-Hawaii the other day. I just sat there scratching my head wondering who the fuck is BYU-Hawaii and why are they beating a ranked team? Louisville only held on for a 10 point win, which was surprising. Speaking of embarrassing losses: Texas A & M Corpus Christi 70 Florida St 67. I thought Florida St. was supposed to be improving...

I'd prefer a dynasty, since that sounds interesting, but I really don't care one way or the other.

This has to be one of my favorite tv flops of all-time. Not so much for the show itself, but for the commercials leading up to its debut. It started with some creepy looking Urkel robot laughing, then the Mantis comes into the screen and blows it away! I believe they then made some dig towards ABC's lineup, said when it is debuting, and ended the commercial. Anyway, from the sounds of it, Fox had high hopes for this show. I vaguely remember that it was supposed to anchor their new Friday lineup, and, obviously, they had intentions of it challenging ABC' TGIF lineup in the ratings. So, what happens to the show? It gets cancelled in, I believe, 3 episodes. I just always found it hilarious that the show and Fox puffed up their collective chests, only to fall flat on their faces and fail miserably. 3 episodes? Yeesh.

I just ordered two Korean comedies and two Hong Kong comedies myself: Korean: North Korean Guys Spy Girl HK: Cop Shop Babes The Twins Effect I just hope they'll end up be as entertaining as they seem.

Down the Shore. I miss that show. I think I may have an episode on tape somewhere. I should look for it one of these days...

I decided to look it up. Apparently, they are Nigeriens with an "e." As for the Central African Republicans, they are called "Central Africans." How generic. I much prefer what they called people from Liechtenstein: Liechtensteiners. Now that'd be a cool nationality to be.
-
I am guessing because it's the United States of America, thus Americans. I wonder what they call people from the Central African Republic.

I agree with Harley. It seems like defenses get rewarded for giving up more points. Heck, half the time I am hoping my defense gives up a field goal or a touchdown because they will only lose 1(or sometimes 0) points, but gain those right back from return yards. I also think safeties should be worth a bit more. They seem like they would be harder to get than a sack, int, or fumble, yet they are worth the same amount of fantasy points. I just think teams should be rewarded in the unlikely event that they get a safety. In my other league, the commissioner fucked up and fumbles are worth +1 point, so every time someone loses a fumble, it actually improves his point total. I guess it is to make up for last year when fumbles were -2 and fumbles lost would be -2 more, causing people to get quite pissed whenever their guy fumbled the ball.

I agree on Moss, but not so much on Holt. Holt's problem is that he is quite inconsistent. Like a few weeks ago against Tampa, he had an amazing game and scored 24 points for my team. The next, he had an underwhelming 4 yard performance against Miami. He bounced back last week with a 17 point performance, then put up a disappointing 32 yard performance this week. I am quite happy with my team lately. My QB, TE, and DEF poisitons have been exceptional. I have been getting big numbers from Brees, Gates, and the Chicago DEF. Of course, since they can't pick on mediocre teams forever, that might soon be a problem in the coming weeks, but I'll enjoy while I can. Even with Brees and Gates this week, I still got some decent numbers from Garrard and Dilger as my bye week fill ins. Running back could be a boon or a worry for me, depending on whether Jones can break out later in the season and how many running backs the Vikings decide to use. I also picked up Julius Jones this week in hopes that may see some action later in the season, so hopefully two of them will do well enough to help me in the playoffs. I think I have a fair chance in the playoffs, if I get there. My team has been having some pretty high weeks lately, and I have scored 100+ the past three weeks, despite missing some of my best players. I figure I can at least make it interesting, which is better than my quiet exit last year, if nothing else.

I don't fear the Crimson Storm either. I would have beaten them rather easily the past two weeks. About the only team I fear is Serenity at this point. I beat the Objects, despite wasting two roster spots on Randy Moss and Thomas Jones, who ended up getting a whole .1 point between them, so I'm confident I can do it again should I meet them in the playoffs. About the only team I'm worried about is Serenity. I have them in Week 13, and I should have Randy Moss back at that time, in theory anyway, so I should be able to see how good my team can do without injuries, bye weeks, and suspensions getting in the way. Should be interesting. Orton's good as well, but his current lack of a quarterback hurts him. I am assuming that will solve itself when Leftwich returns in Week 12, assuming Leftwich doesn't have some weird setback. Given, I am not sure I can say much about Orton since he can still beat me this week if TO gets into the endzone twice tonight. While things still look rosy for my team with a 22 point lead, I REALLY wish the Patriots hadn't given up that punt return TD to the Bills now. Damn Patriots.

I am still somewhat considering that trade offer. Though, right now, I am too busy bitching at the Vikings for not giving Onterrio Smith the ball to make a ratonal decision.

Pretty much. The whole angle was mocking a guy who had his character get killed, then return possessed by a demon, leading up to a match as the character's demonically possessed body faced the character's brother for the rights to the character's soul. He played it completely straight too. Alas, my big blowoff of a soul on a pole match in a three tiered hell in a cell never came to fruition.
-
I would have loved that angle, personally. Heck, I was just doing a similar angle in an E-Fed, where my character discovered a magic lamp containing the spirit of a 2nd century Mongolian warrior. He released the spirit, then proceeded to unfreeze the body of a 17th century Russian that he discovered all to speed up his plot for world domination. Meanwhile, he was being tailed by 3 other wrestlers who were part of a secret organization dedicated to the the prevention of evil spirits being released, and thus they must recapture the Mongolian. Sadly, before my character could summon the spirit of an African warrior god and stuff it into the body of a jobber, the league closed. Anyway, they should have kept that guy. Odd angles like that would actually get me to watch the WWE again and actually enjoy it. Ah well.

Kansas just took the lead on Texas 16-13 in the 4th quarter. Texas better turn it on quick. EDIT: 23-13. This is getting interesting.
-
Another interesting score: Duke 6 Clemson 3 Geez. Rutgers beat Michigan St. a few weeks ago, Baylor beat Texas A & M earlier in the season, Temple is destroying Syracuse, Duke and Kansas both have a lead against notable teams. What's up with all these perennial doormats actually improving and being able to pull a few upsets all of a sudden? I am not sure I can live in a world where teams like Baylor are playing competitive football.

Speaking of Top Ten teams struggling against mediocre opponents, it looks like Texas sleepwalked through the first half of their game against Kansas, down 9-7 early. After last week, I am assuming Texas will bounce back and win, but for now, I'll just sit back and enjoy the fact that they are losing a game to KANSAS of all teams. Continuing the trend of mediocrity in the Big East, it looks like West Virginia is getting beaten up at the half by Boston College 24-7. I am so going to enjoy seeing Louisville run roughshod over the Big East next year.
-
Interesting score of the moment: Temple 21 Syracuse 3 Now I know Syracuse is far from good, but they are in second right now in the Big East race, yet they are gettng beaten up woeful 1-8 Temple? How far has the Big East fallen this year? This is just sad.
-
Well, San Jose St. just went up 7-0 on Boise St. in the first quarter. That was somewhat surprising. I don't think it will hold up though. I must say though that I like San Jose St.'s uniforms.

Some sort of "hot tag" mode would be nice. I am not quite sure how it would go, but tag matches seem so underwhleming if I beat up a guy for an hour, only to have his partner come in and just act normally. Less "random" storylines would also be nice. For instance, in Smackdown once, my character does this big, heroic face move to close out my PPV match...then the next night my guy decided to form a heel stable out of the blue. Not to mention the ever great: "work my ass off to win the Tag titles, then promptly forget about them and never defend them" angle. I also like how some female wants to be my "manager" but after that storyline wraps up, I never see her again. I wish they were able to put them together in a slightly more cohesive way.

I'd have to agree with Gonzalez. It's been a week already, I don't think they are going to show up.

Wendy's fires unofficial spokeperson I can't say I'll miss him, though that criticism seems a bit harsh. I just hope they won't come up with a worse advertising campaign to replace him.

I read something about this a few weeks back. It has something to do with television conflicts, if I remember correctly.

It's just the Raw thread, you probably weren't missing much anyway.
